I really like the idea of future Jay, it would be a ultimate mind blown moment, but It just doesn't seem plausible.
It's possible but I don't think it's marble hornets style, it seems too complicated and I'm sure many would be confused. I think it would be awesome if they did it though

It's time for the biggest point that NOONE has been bringing up. Jay hasn't uploaded footage since entry#77. Entry #77 was Jay went after Tim, Tim hogtied him and then ran off to find Alex or the hooded man at the address. He took Jay's camera and admitted to uploading it and leaving Jay behind for his own good. How did the video get uploaded before he left though?

In Entry #78 the hooded man finds Jay in the house looking for medication. He gives Jay the knife and the camera since he realized that Tim was making a move if Jay was tied up like that. But he also makes it clear that he can only give Jay one last chance to do something, thus the message on the mirror. Jay ran for it. How did this entry get uploaded between him leaving and getting to Tim. A pattern is forming now.

We come to Entry #79. Jay arrives at Benedict Hall trying to find anything. Instead of finding Tim he found the hooded man. I can't explain the hooded man's actions on Jay aside from appearing to be defensive rather than offensive. Then upon further exploration he sees Tim. He stalks Tim wanting to make a move on him. Then Tim goes into the basement and Jay's intentions changed to finding what Tim was looking for. Finding the note, and losing Tim, Jay changed gears to see what Tim was looking for. Seeing that Tim couldn't get in, he took to going back the window that he could see Tim before and waited. Again, the entry was posted and he said he was going to sit there and watch for something to happen. How could he have uploaded the footage if he was hanging around there?

Start entry# 80 where Entry #79 left off, and considering how it ended, we know at least for now that Tim had to have uploaded this entry....... and Jay's last two entries as Jay.

How do hands talk? With a keyboard. Either Tim uploaded at least the last 4 entries, including adding commentary or someone else has the camera at the moment. I'm leaning toward Tim becausr he found Jay's camera, and has the password to the channel and the videos aren't a bad acid trip.

The coded tweets were trying to point to this as Tim hasn't come out and explained what's happenes on camera himself, but his hands sure have talked when it came to posting as Jay. Him uploading 80 was probably a result of the coded tweet taunting him for not showing what happened. Can't wait to see where this goes next but my end game theory may have just been turned on its side. My guess is we aren't as close to the end of the series as we thought and there could easily be another 5 or more entries to end this.

Maybe the reason Masky and Hoody ended their cooperation was because Hoody wanted to reach the ark so badly that he didn't mind to "sacrifice" Jay and Masky not?

Forget that, I am just really confused right now. I don't know what to think about Hoody. If the Quadrant video message was in deed "I CAN NOT HELP", it may mean that Hoody didn't want this to happen, but the way things truned out make him look like the one behind all of this. It looks like Tim thinks Hoody has setted it all up.

However, Hoody has helped Jay more than once. Why would he let this happen if he knew what was going on? Maybe he has just "changed sides" for some reason. My first thought was that Alex was the one who left the note in Tim's attic and that he may have been dressing like Hoody to make Jay trust him, but it really has no sense...
Also, Alex had the gun back. Did Hoody give it him back, or was it taken by the force?

I just think Jay uploaded the previous Entry using a laptop and wifi... He could use his mobilephone as a hotspot.

Thoughts on where it's going from here:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I agree with the previous speculation that Entry 81 will consist of Tim's footage from his own exploration of the college. It's the logical thing to review if Tim is genuinely at a loss to how to proceed.

Entry 82 may be some form of confession where Tim levels with us to an extent he didn't with Jay. He might want some secrets to not die with him if Alex catches up with him. Or he might just want to be honest with someone before the end, even if that someone is just a crowd of strangers on the Internet.

It is going to be interesting to see how totheark reacts to this. In particular, I think it's possible that they may be more direct due to the necessity of keeping things from Jay going away - or because Tim is less of a master manipulatee than Jay was and therefore is less likely to respond to subtle string-pulling than he is to straight talk.

Oh, and I'm 99.99% sure Jay's dead and that the end is coming soon. This entry was a major shock and was clearly constructed to be so, with the opening implying that Jay uploaded it before the twist comes and Tim gets the camera. and if Jay isn't actually dead that'd lessen the blow. Even if he's alive, between the wound and being Slendernapped he's clearly not in a state where he's going to be recording many entries or doing much investigation in the near future and Tim is going to have to take over as the main protagonist; either way, Jay dropping out of the scenario like this feels like something which belongs in the endgame.

He uploaded both 78 and 79. His commentary was all over both of those videos. Jay could have easily stopped at a local McDonalds or Panera or Starbucks or something. He never doesn't have his laptop with him. Besides, I doubt that Tim would just start randomly speaking in the third person.

As for 79, Jay's at a college, a sparsely populated college but a functioning one. And every college that both I and my younger brother have attended for the last 10 years has offered wi-fi. Not too much of a stretch for Jay to have used it to upload 79. It's 2013, wi-fi is everywhere now. Pretty easy to get online just about anywhere you go.

Agreed.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I was also thinking about the possibility of Tim getting ahold of Jay's laptop/external hard drive and maybe revealing some important footage that Jay wasn't sharing...

I never took his knowledge of the passwords in consideration of Hoody being Jay from the future. That is a very nice point in support of that theory. I'm not taking sides with any theories right now, but that is a great point for that one. If this theory is true, I hope that the TribeTwelve fanatics won't get angry or anything. I mean, the Hoody character has been in play longer than the Firebrand storyline from TribeTwelve. I'd be happy with it. However I've sort of thought that Hoody was Brian for a while now.

As a huge TT fan, I wouldn't be pissed if Hoody was future Jay. Just sayin'. And I highly doubt Rosner would be too terribly pissed.

What do you mean Alex isn't meaning to kill Jay? He's repeatedly held him at gunpoint and shot at him multiple times. He shot Jay in the damn gut for Christ's sake. And I don't care what people here tell you, a gun shot to the gut can kill you. I don't care about "well, if he gets medical treatment..." He was kidnapped by the Operator. Do you think he has a surgeon on call in Slenderworld?

He's held him at gunpoint twice. He's shot at him, once that we know of, the other time wasn't necessarily AT him. If Alex knew The Operator was around, which is HIGHLY likely, he could have shot Jay anywhere that's not instantly lethal like the head or heart area and Jay would have survived by The Operator. Yes you can die from a gut shot, but not instantly with a pistol.

This is why Alex might not have been trying to outright KILL Jay, just seriously weaken him.

Like make him easier prey for TO?

But why would he be trying to create a stable time loop when he could try and fix what went wrong? Instead of making everything worse for everyone and repeating mistakes he saw himself do (Hoody was not please about Jessica getting abducted by The Operator), why hasn't he try to change it and make things better?

Maybe he did change some things from the original timeline, such as his attempted rescue of Jessica from the hotel... Maybe this is the cause of the huge memory gap, because something was changed due to time-warp Jay's meddling. For example, maybe Jay was originally shot in 52 and that's when he got time warped originally and became Hoody - he tells this to Masky and Masky attempts to stop this event from ever happening. This succeeds but causes a paradox - Jay survives and doesn't become Hoody, yet Hoody still exists. Perhaps this is when Hoody realizes he must close the time loop and thus lure himself into a situation where Alex can shoot him like he was "supposed to". If Alex is aware of this paradox being one of the potential reasons for TO stalking, then it also explains 68, because Alex wants mostly to kill past Jay to close the time loop and doesn't necessarily have any urge to kill future Jay/Hoody. This would also explain why TO protects Alex, because Alex must be alive to shoot Jay or the time loop can never be closed and there would be 2 different Jays from different realities running around. If TO is trying to motivate Alex to close this loop, it may also explain why Alex started bonking his friends on the head - at first he has no idea which of them is the source of the time paradox issue and so has no choice but to kill them in order to close the loop to appease, and possibly escape, TO.

EDIT: This would also explain why Alex claims that this whole situation is Jay's fault.

I didnt read the entire thread so forgive me if someone has already brought this up.

I was wondering why did they show Tim being able to resist an Operator confrontation some entries ago. I thought it was only to show that the pills are 100% effective. But now i begin wondering if this information was shown because now Tim can cross the tunnel and go to the Operator universe, get Jay, Jessica, Brian, Amy and Seth (not Sarah because she's under the hood) and get out of there without being influenced by Operators power. Tim can save Jay because he can resist the mindfuck Operator does.

I still cant believe he wont be saved. Its Jay!! My Jay.

Like what happened in Entry #65.

Hmm... wouldn't Hoody being future Jay explain all the blood (and possibly the bullet casing) he found in Entry #16? I know it's not extremely likely, but it's possible.

Something that struck me about Alex: he waited. Much has been made of the fact that this time he didn't say anything to Jay at all; just aimed and fired. But he waited. He gave Jay enough time to turn around, see him, and even call out to him before firing. Why would Alex do that when he just as easily could've shot Jay in the back?

Here's my theory on Tim's actions this entry: Tim saw Alex, but Alex didn't see him. That's why he was backing away from the door before he turned and ran. I believe he went straight to his car and went home, because Alex was an active threat again, and Jay would've been a sitting duck. Only instead of a pissed-off insane Jay, Tim found a knife, cut zip ties, and Hoody's little 'love note'. Realizing there was only one place Jay would've gone, Tim races back to the college. He probably retraces his steps. By the time he finds that room it's been long enough for the sun to have gone down. I'm sure he saw the the bloody hand print and the abandoned camera and just knew. But he watched the footage anyway in hopes he was wrong. He was disappointed. He starts frantically searching for Jay (seriously; he sounds as scared and desperate here as he did in #72) even though he must've known how hopeless it was, and encountered Hoody. We all saw what happened from there.

I don't know how Alex got loose, or more importantly, how he got his gun back. I don't feel comfortable speculating, because I've got nothing.

I don't think Hoody set Jay up to be killed, but that's just a personal belief I can't back up.

I also don't think Hoody is future!Jay, again, just a personal belief.

I am fairly sure Jay is still alive, for now. I personally think TO took Jay when It did because it wants to use him like it uses Alex. Also
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
these guys should know that you just don't kill a major character off-screen.

Because of the Quadrant video, I think we'll revisit the hospital. I also think the final confrontation, whoever's left for it, has to happen in Rosswod Park.
