 		what the hell am i supposed to do? i keep getting 3.4 ft (why not meters?) over and over.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Click whatever blinks purple, quickly. If you click the tuft in the center, it moves minimally. Otherwise, it moves to the side opposite of the one you've clicked. The higher it gets, the more unstable it becomes. Try to keep it all centered.
