I sent this to Melody Heller this morning. I was hoping to find the names of friends of Marcus and Jude amd Marty Smile

Dear Ms. Heller,

I recently applied for a job at Ideltech. The latest news story in your paper about the hacking ex professor has caused me to have second thoughts about getting involved with Ideltech. I followed the link you published in the story and read the professor's blog. I just don't know what to think. I was wondering how well you know, if at all, Marcus, Jude and Marty? I guess I'm hoping to find people who can attest to their integrity. Do you know of anyone in Amboy who would be willing to talk to me about Marcus, Jude and Marty? Someone who could reassure me that they are honorable young men? Any help you can give me would be much appreciated. Thank you.

And I just recieved this response:

Dear Ms. xxxxxxx,

Let me assure you that I am good friends with Marcus, I was just over at his home the other night and we watched American Beauty.

When I found the Professor's blog, I was just shocked I tell you. He does not sound like a nice person, or a sane one. I certainly hope he gets the help he needs. Marcus and the others were very nice to have dropped the charges and allow him to get medical attention for his problems. I don't know if I would have been that nice. It scares me to think that someone who teaches could do something so illegal as stealing the names and addresses of people who contacted Ideltech. You know, I saw him at Powells, but the name tag said Drexel, not his real name. How could someone like that expect me to take anything he tells me as the truth? I really hope he gets the help he needs.

Marcus, Jude and Marty want to help fight the war on terror, they certainly would not be involved in anything dishonerable. Anyone could vouch for the boys, Alma Duncan, Saida, Sandy, Clarence Houston, the fire chief Stan Walker, any of them would tell you they are good men and a real asset to our community. You know I am thinking about applying to Ideltech myself, I just don't know if I could give up working with the folks at the Round Up Cafe, they have been like a second family to me since my mother remarried and moved away.
