is a hint to .htm. So now we just need to figure out the meaning of the 3 images.
1st is a MoMA poster
2nd is of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark
3rd is an Escher work
I've tried art.htm, one.htm, 1.htm, 3.htm, three.htm, pop.htm, popculture.htm already.
Ideas on the meaning?

I might be premature with this, but I don't think that last work is M. C. Escher. I just looked through quite a few books on him, and I couldn't find it reprinted anywhere. Also, just to save someone time, the MMA poster isn't available through the MMA gift-shop on their web page. Thought that might help ID it....

clarifying The first poster is from the Metropolitan Musuem of Art ( I know because it says so )
There may be some confusion because the Musuem of Modern Art here is generally referred to as MoMA. Not the Metropolitan, which I usually just call the "musuem" or the "Met."
I don't have time to search for it now, but given the time period of the painting, it may be found in the Cloisters Collection of the Metropolitan Museum, which may have a seperate site for its' collection.

I do not recognise it as Escher work either. The filename is escher.JPG though... weirdness...
Could this be due to a version of bluelouboyle.com still in your cache? They are identical to me...

I did a search on the Met's site and couldn't find anything. There is way too much info. So I sent them an email. Hopefully they will be able to help.
The piece is not in the Cloister's section either.

I found this about St. Barbara:
Saint Barbara lived and died about the year 300 A.D. She was venerated as early as the seventh century. The legend of the lightning bolt which struck down her persecutor caused her to be regarded as the patron saint in time of danger from thunderstorms, fires and sudden death.
When gunpowder made its appearance in the Western world, Saint Barbara was invoked for aid against accidents resulting from explosions--since some of the earlier artillery pieces often blew up instead of firing their projectile, Saint Barbara became the patroness of the artillerymen
And in the last scenes of Raiders of the Lost Ark....alot of ominous clouds boil up and the nazis are all killed by lightning from the ark.
I have no clue about the 3rd picture except that it looks like a thunderstorm. I don't know how Escher fits in though.

just a theroy... I followed the link from krysbabe (thanks!), and noticed that they all have bibilical themes. The title of the 1st picture seems to be the begining, the middle was a warning about how the end of the world could be brought about by the opening of the ark, and the last could be a scene showing the end of the world.
Any ideas on it?

I found the picture as well. Well, not the picture, but perhaps this is a clue from the PM's?
Anyone wanna bid on it? I would, but I'm broke.

This is interesting. Sorry for posting the convo, but it's short and full of hints
Quote:
SawftnSweet (6:33:51 PM): Is it safe to assume that the pictures on your site are meant to convey some sort of message?
WilliamRoddingn (6:34:07 PM): That's safe to assume
WilliamRoddingn (6:34:11 PM): More like a roadmap
SawftnSweet (6:34:49 PM): Was the old picture, the one that isn't there now, the starting point?
WilliamRoddingn (6:35:04 PM): Used to be.
SawftnSweet (6:35:23 PM): What am i trying to find?
WilliamRoddingn (6:35:45 PM): hehe.. Where I am essentially.,
WilliamRoddingn (6:35:48 PM): or will be
WilliamRoddingn (6:35:51 PM): in time.
WilliamRoddingn (6:35:52 PM): LOL
SawftnSweet (6:36:57 PM): How will I know if I'm right?
WilliamRoddingn (6:37:14 PM): You will know.
SawftnSweet (6:38:52 PM): Can you give me any more clues?
WilliamRoddingn (6:39:46 PM): You know.. That Al Stewart song, Time Passages?
SawftnSweet (6:39:53 PM): Yes
WilliamRoddingn (6:40:02 PM): I used to like listening to that..
WilliamRoddingn (6:40:24 PM): When I was young, I used to wonder if I could be buried with it playing.. So I can listen to it for all time.
WilliamRoddingn (6:40:37 PM): Do you understand what I'm trying to tell you this time?
SawftnSweet (6:40:57 PM): Not yet, but I will
WilliamRoddingn (6:41:06 PM): In time
WilliamRoddingn (6:41:08 PM):
SawftnSweet (6:41:14 PM): =)
WilliamRoddingn (6:41:24 PM): Don't worry. Time is on your side.
WilliamRoddingn (6:41:29 PM): and Time will show you the way
SawftnSweet (6:41:34 PM): Thanks
WilliamRoddingn (6:41:46 PM): Tttiiiiimmmeee... Is on my side.. .YES IT IS!
WilliamRoddingn (6:41:58 PM): You know that movie? I can't remember the name of it
SawftnSweet (6:42:24 PM): No..who was in it?
WilliamRoddingn (6:42:26 PM): Had the big guy from Rosanne..
WilliamRoddingn (6:42:39 PM): Played... welll.. played a bad guy
SawftnSweet (6:43:02 PM): I think I know what you're talking about.
WilliamRoddingn (6:43:08 PM): It's about time.
Lot's of time references. One thing poignant in the song he referred to is "train back home." Could he be ending up back in amboy? or is he from somewhere else? Also, does anyone know what movie he was referring to?
Also...some ideas if everything is a place: Saint Barbara: Santa Barbara, CA. Indiana Jones: Indiana. I don't know, I'm reaching here.
