I'm hoping entry 86 drops soon, otherwise 85 is just kinda meh.

This close to the end some filler is to be expected. If nothing else it brought the story full circle.

I wouldn't call that filler. Half was plot development & the other half was setup for the latter half. Maybe it could have been trimmed a bit, but literally just when I was getting sick of nothing happening, something happened, so I'd call that a success. Personally, I thought it was really good, but I an see why it might not be for everyone.

Maybe filler is too strong a word. It did confirm some things. It's just frustrating seeing an aborted showdown like that. This series likes to tease.

Well the first third is not only pretty different from many of the other entries; it's sort of cliche to have those quick cuts demonstrate the passage of a long period of time. Same with the character talking out loud to himself as much to fill the audience in on what's been going on as well as to motivate him to do something. (Maybe "conventional" is a better term.) But everything from when Tim talked himself into getting out of the house, which meant getting in his car and watching the house (lol), to the end--that was bloody brilliant.

I'll spoiler this, in case someone wanders in here and hasn't seen entry 85 yet (what are you waiting for?!?!)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I think if the series is going the route of Tim and Alex killing each other, or gravely injuring each other and both of them being taken by TO into the Slendyverse, then we'll need a way for Entry 86 to be uploaded. This would be a good time to bring back Seth (as possibly Skully and definitely TTA.)

Here's how it could go down:
- the camera is "dropped" or set down on something so that nobody holds it during the scuffle
- We see the epic confrontation between Tim and Alex
- both of them are left gravely wounded
- the video starts to glitch
- TO appears
- after more glitching, TO, Tim, and Alex are all gone
- the video cuts out
- the video cuts back in and someone is walking towards the camera wearing the skully mask
- he takes off the mask and we see that it's Seth
- the end of the entry contains some kind of explanation and is done in TTA style
- The End!

I'm also willing to accept the same scenario, but with Jay returning, instead of Seth. (obviously TTA-themed stuff)

I hope we don't have wait another month for 86. I really hope we don't.

You know, on the kickstarter page, they posted an update about "finishing Marble Hornets" and then posted a picture of Joseph and Tim outside somewhere, looks like they are near a wooded area.

Maybe that have at least SOME of 86 filmed?

Just thinking out loud, I guess.

It's not that it was filled, it's that it didn't provide much in the way of answers. Which means we're either not getting a huge portion of the ones we'd really like, or they're going to cram a LOT of explanation into the last entry/entries.

For instance, Tim could have started to come clean about the "secret" or what he thought about Brian being Hoody. But we got nothing like that. And Alex could have started to slip into Bond Villain mode while burning down the house, explaining a bit more about his motivations, and other events than just that he's mad at Tim.

Should we hold out hope that a bunch of questions will be answered while Tim and Alex fight?

This is a good point - I guess that unspoilery photo from Kickstarter was either downtime during 85, or something from 86 (or, dare we hope, 87?).

It's the window on Tim's house. Lifted straight from 85.

I believe you're thinking of the screenshot Troy posted on twitter, there was a pic posted on the kickstarter of Tim and Joseph at night in a grassy/wooded area.

We dare. Personally, I hope it gets to Entry #88. Lucky number. Double life (not in the sense of life being doubled, but two eights, each of which is the number of "life" or "fortune" in East Asian culture, side by side).

I fear I am not going to be satisfied with the ending as we really havn't gained any ground on learning about what the Operator is/wants. I mean, thats what this whole series is about, right?

But at the same time, their execution of how to explain this would have to be extremely difficult to do let alone find a way to do it. still, theyve had years to come up with some ideas.
