INFO - Part 1 interview

Just got this...

Quote:
Ideltech Information

Interview Part 1

Below are fifteen questions which are not common knowledge and require research to find the answer. The reason this skill is important to Ideltech is simple. The program you are going to be working with is fine understanding simple logic. Unfortunately, the world does not always work in simple logic. Art, culture, passion, and emotion are difficult to put into ones and zeros. Yet, the aforementioned makes up half the world. Sometimes the best cracking software the world has ever known can not break into a server. An eight year old with five minutes can crack the same server. Please answer the questions as completely as possible. Each question is worth ten points. The more complete the answer the more points awarded. Results will be posted April 9th on www.ideltech.com/employment with the top 80% going to Part 2 of the interview process. Please understand a large number of applicants have applied and we only have 450 positions. All Part 1's must be turned in, with your name, by April 7th to hrSPLATideltech.com.

Are we sharing here? Wink I've got a few done. The madden 2005 might be tricky because not much info has been released on it yet. It's not due out until august. There isn't even much info at the easports site, which makes sense since they are still trying to get people to buy the 2004 version. I have a couple of friends who might be able to find out an inside scoop. I'll let you know....

Only managed to answer one question so far, the first one (fair bit of detail I got). However I cannot seem to find information on the elusive Malynn Wilbur and as I am in the United Kingdom I cannot ring Ideltech for the answerphone voice name. Anyone willing to help?

The voice mail doesn't give any indication who is speaking. It's an adult male voice.

Malynn Wilbur gives a big goose egg in google.

Hey, there are 450 positions. I'm all for those of us on unforum to share info. Here's my contribution.

The "bible" for ATC = FAAO 7110.65

(FAAO = Federal Aviation Administration Order)

Here's my contribution so far...

What town makes Louis Guntrum wine?

I couldn't find a town that makes the wine, but I found the town that the vineyard is in.... Nierstein/Rhein

What scene in the original Phantasmagoria by Sierra was the most controversial?

The game was banned by many retailers because of the cut scene brutal rape. Although there were other scenes that rivaled it with bondage and frontal nudity.

Posible answers...

Some of my thoughts... no guarantees

#12:What is heat absorbing condensation nuclei most commonly referred to?

It might be H20 in its gas state of matter

#3.What town makes Louis Guntrum wine?

I get : Nierstein/Rhein as well....

1.What scene in the original Phantasmagoria by Sierra was the most controversial?

I have found a few references to "Trophy Room mirror scene ". However I have no real evidence for that being the correct answer

What scene in the original Phantasmagoria by Sierra was the most controversial?

The rape scene at the start of chapter four, where Don, posessed by a demon, attacks his wife Adrienne in the bathroom. This scene caused the game to be banned in Australia, as well as being removed from the shelves of several major software retailers.

Just as an aside, and it's been quite a few years since I played the game, I found it to be a little boring, and the puzzles were rather inferior by the standards of today. 7th Guest and 11th Hour were much better entries into the horror gaming genre, IMHO.

Here's my take on the Phantasmagoria question, it goes into more detail which should equal more points, which is a good thing(I hope). I also made a couple of changes to my original answer incorporating other people's answer to the question (cheating little bugger that I am).
What scene in the original Phantasmagoria by Sierra was the most controversial? The scene at the start of chapter 4 in which the main character, Adrienne is raped by her husband Don (who is possessed by the ghost of the villain, a demented stage magician) in the bathroom. The scene was blown out of proportion, however by the public (The scene was fully clothed and non-explicit) who seemed to all but ignore the large amount of gore in the Full-Motion-Video adventure game. In fact, the game featured a more explicit sex scene of a consensual nature, although about as steamy as it got were a shot of Adrienne's breasts and shots of her bare back. These scenes caused the game to be banned in Australia and taken off the shelves of many retailers. Sierra decided to include a content filter in later editions to censor the more adult areas of the game in an attempt to avoid controversy. The game is now considered a minor classic of the FMV point-and-click game genre.

Here are my contributions:

12. what is heat absorbing condensation nuclei?

Basically clouds. Water vapor absorbs heat then forms clouds when it attachs to condensation nuclei.

9. Voice on Ideltech voicemail.

I believe that is Marcus Thesburg. When he called my voicemail he sounded the same.

11. Del Pettit of Olympia WA, who is? and what has he contributed?

Married to Verna Pettit, Resides: 9725 Rich Rd SE, Olympia, WA 98501. Phone: (360) 491-2300.

Del was Chairman of the committee in June 1980 that developed the Deschutes River Basin Instream Resource Protection Program. This program protects all instream resources (fish, wildlife, recreation, navigation, water quality, scenic & aesthetic values, and other evironmental factors)which may be adversly affected by both natural and man-caused factors.

Ok, so the one I need help on is 7. (Maggie Simpson question) and 8. (3 people who went to high school with Marty, marcus, and Jude). I checked through Amboy Monthly somewhat, but couldn't find a school name or fellow alum. Am I missing it? Smile

I'll try to post some more tomorrow if they aren't up yet. The Applied Digital Solutions one is pretty easy. website is at www.adsx.com.

The register reads $847.63 when Maggie is scanned through.

For question 3, this site says:
Quote:
The premises and the cellars of Louis Guntrum are located directly on the Rhine-river, between the two small villages of Nierstein and Oppenheim.

Maggie Simpson costs $847.63. It's apparently how much money a baby costs in a week or a month or something.

Unless you count the 138th Episode Spectacular, which said it was NRA4EVER. But it really says $847.63.

EDIT: Too slow! Oh well, at least I'm the second out of three. I'll trout myself, thank you.
