Sorry, but this entry was just filler. Not that I care too much, it was expected. But defending it as anything but filler is grasping at staws and being in denial.

That said, it wasn't BAD... and I'm not bashing it. It just is what it is, and I would have been happy with an entry that answered some questions, or furthered the plot a little more. Was very scared when #80 was first released that #81 was going to be basically what this was.

Here's to hoping the next entry actually progresses the plot. We're getting into the end game, and every entry that comes along that doesn't seem to answer questions/progress the story.. the more nervous I get that the finale will be a let down.

And yes Whiteknights, I know we don't know exactly how many entries are left... But we're clearly getting pretty close to some sort of finale.

word for word how i feel about this entry

diaf plz

Could "the ark" be a phonetic abbreviation of "archive"? The mention of the flood at the film department in Benedict Hall and the potential of a film archive there that includes lost Marble Hornets footage makes me wonder.

I like the thought; was always wondering why it had to be Benedict Hall, and now he know: It's a film archive with footage of something TO related (most likely more MH footage). So Hoody was leading Jay tothearchive that was flooded in the past – but we still don't know for sure why he was hoping to Jay would also find Alex there when he was free and dangerous. Wasn't it "Find Alex, Find the Ark?" - or was the note kept by Hoody for himself, rather than for Jay to find? I think the archive thing needs to be considered in the "What is the ark" thread.

Also, but that is only my opinion, I don't trust Tim fully yet. Some other poster mentioned how well this one was edited for the viewer to trust Tim. I maybe go way too meta on this one, but it could be Tim's intention to edit this video together so we (the viewers of the channel) were to trust him. He also comfortably left the part out were he blacked out in the car... we don't even know whether or not he waked up there. He still could be hiding a lot.

And, my biggest question: why are people getting so worked up about the arbitrary label of being "filler" or not? If you were disappointed by this entry and therefore label it "filler" for you, fine by me – I don't think of the entries in that categories, and I don't see the gain of doing so. Is this me "grasping at staws" or "being in denial"?

This entry answers MANY questions, including the ones WE were discussing in the #80 thread. It was totally necessary to understand the past entries and what exactly happened, plus it may be necessary for future entries as well, there's no way we get to acknowledge it right now.

Honestly it didnt even feel like 14 minutes to me, i got 100% entertained, scared, shocked, unnerved, etc. Actually it was a hell of a production. The gunshot was genius. The scenes in the basement were so well done i could barely believe it is an amateur series. The level of quality of the entries have been great, but this entry it was outstanding and that is enough for me.

Christ on a Ritz. Do we really need 8 pages of debate on what constitutes each user's personal definition of filler and whether or not a given entry fulfills it?

This seems to be about all that people use this forum for.

Its not annoying that this is filler. Its that we waited so damn long for Tim to just post this. Its been what, a month? Its not like Tim did anything.

OOG
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The least they could have done is prepared for the winter break and shot all of their footage prior to uploading Entry 80 and then about 2 weeks later, which is a rather quick time to upload, show Tim's footage.

It makes me wonder whether this might have been intended as a trap for Tim instead of Jay - was Hoody aware of Tim's sewer explorations after all? If so, he might have gambled on being able to pull this off and getting Tim killed without Jay getting involved, having realised (via the YouTube channel) that Jay wouldn't realise anything was going on from his vantage point until the deed was done.

Maybe, but then why would Hoody free Jay from being tied up in the first place?

As for Amy as Hoody, I kinda like the idea from a plot standpoint, but I don't see it turning out that way.

Contingency plan.

Hoody knows Jay and Tim together pose a threat and can resist if not fight Slendy and Alex. Their recent tiff has made this plan possible to permanently split up the pair, one way or another.

Tim has shown he's built some kind of immunity to Slendy, so Alex was released and given the gun. Tim may be able to resist Slender-Sickness, but I doubt he could resist a bullet. Tim got lucky early when he spotted Alex in the upper levels and ducked out, knowing well what was going on.

Jay was released knowing he would come as well. Unfortunately, Jay is susceptible to Slendy at this point and grown increasingly paranoid, developing something of a sixth sense, knowing when Alex is nearby (possibly another side effect of too much contact with Slendy). Unfortunately, Slendy doesn't need to walk and could simply grab him. All he needed to do now was get Jay alone, get him to have a coughing fit, then grab him without a hassle.

Jay got unlucky when he went inside Benedict Hall, he got both of the trap set off on him and now suffers the consequences of being as predictable as Masky hoped. Best case scenario: Both of them vanish. Worst case scenario: Only one of them falls for it, and one did, the more gullible one, Jay. In both cases, Masky knows exactly where everyone is, what they are doing, and even manages to swipe the remainder of Tim's pills.

No matter what, Masky wins this game on some level today with what I want to call a Xanatos Gambit.

Hey, I have something probably crazy.

Tim picked up and FOCUSED ON the sign that said something like "No Entry Without Authorization" right?

Back when season 2 was finished, a particular gripe was that Entry #29 didn't actually seem to fit with ANY of the events of the season itself. Jay mentions that this video was something he found (in his hard drive I think?) and what was it called? "NOENTRY"

Tim crawling through the tunnels in the sewers remind me of the tunnel at Rosswood Park where lots of important things happen. That tunnel is also where "NOENTRY" takes place.

Is there some kind of connection here? What makes Benedict Hall and this entire area important at all?

Basically, what I'm asking is, is there a relation between the "NOENTRY" video and the "No Entry" sign??? I know it seems like a stretch but Entry 29 is still kind of a glaring missing piece I think.

As for "Amy is Hoody".

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Troy purposefully left Hoody's cough undistorted, and we clearly heard that his cough was male.

Sure 14 minutes is a long time and a discrete amount of things happened.

BUT.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There are a finite number of entries left. I'm really happy to have more Marble Hornets to enjoy before they call it quits for good!!

Also, the arms reaching out from the Chest Cam are totally creepy and distorted, I've felt the same way since Entry 65. Nice eerie effect.

What happens next? No one seems to be talking about that...

As for the whole Ark is an Archive theory, I like this theory. And the flood explains why TTA uses water in a ton of videos.

But, what is the place tim went to in 65 then?

Ugh.
I personally hope Hoody isn't revealed to be Amy at this point. (Of course, Hoody's coughs were pretty masculine-sounding).

The creators do seem to be forcing a lot of connections between her, Alex and TO rather late in the series. Who knows.

1. It's revealed she was dating Alex at the time of shooting Marble Hornets
2. Alex tells her he wants to transfer to her college and enter their film program, which is revealed later to be in Benedict Hall...
3. She's the one who "finds" Alex's old camera and suddenly TO is back in Alex's life
4. Alex tells Jessica that he's found Amy. Maybe he really did at this point, but didn't tell Jay because he still needed him.
4. The message with the address to find Alex is on the back of one of Amy's photos
5. These recent episodes actually take place at Amy's old college.

For someone who's been onscreen a grand total of one minute, she seems to be more important in the series than originally thought.

I don't know, I got the impression that the whole "looking for my friend's lost footage here" thing was just Tim's excuse to poke around, rather than his actual reason for being there. Maybe it's just the acting, but that's the impression that I got.
