First off, kudos to everybody who predicted this would be Tim's POV entry.

I'd give them the benefit of the doubt on this one. He was trying really hard to shut it without making a sound, so it's possible the latch didn't catch all the way.

I don't doubt that this pushed the plot forward - it was simply a new perspective and put the full picture together of what happened at the college.

Trosephim probably has a good idea of when to cater to the hardcore fans and when to cater to the casual fans. For instance, an entry like #69 is for the diehards, as it shows older locations and explains the distortion hole - something that was put into the series 4 years ago. Something like #81 was for the average viewer. These fans simply watch the videos and maybe say "Hmmm, maybe Tim will do ______." I got a lot of predictions right of what this entry would contain (footage from the day before, including footage from both #79 and #80, etc.) but the normal fans never think about this. Most of them don't follow Troy's post on Twitter, sees the unspoilery screenshots, speculates on them, etc. They take and swallow what Trosephim give them, while the diehards takes a video and chews it, squeezing every detail out of it before taking it all in. Hopefully that makes sense; I feel like I'm rambling on here.

tldr; This entry was necessary more for the new people than the diehards.

Watch the video I created. Tim can't do the exact same thing each take. #80 and #81 were most likely shot on two different days, so that's why continuity is likely to happen.

First off, Hardcore fans are the smaller percentage of ANY fanbase. Always cater to them and you will always cater only to a small percentage. The hardcore fanbase likes to think think they are the majority, but they are not.

Second, if you are so detail oriented as you think you are you would remember that Tim expressed concern about running out of pills kind of hinting that he could not get any more. At least easily. Whether it was due to the fact that his perscription was running out/a case where either the doctor needed to see him again before he gave him another perscription and/or because they were in hiding.

Regardless this is not a case where he can just run to the local drug store and get a refill. Plus for all we know the doctor may not even give him another refill if he doesn't think they are helping. Not to mention that going to the doctor may be the last thing on his mind because there is a psychotic killer after him, his friend is missing and/or dead, a hooded guy with a mysterious agenda who is also stealing said pills, and some tall guy in a suit stalking him.

I kept thinking that Tim was scrambling in his bag for his Mask. That would've been sufficient Wham to stifle some criticism, I think.

I liked the entry. I like coming to places in stories the long way around; the more information I'm given, the more perspectives I get to look from, the better I understand the events as a whole. Watching Tim's levelheaded, even stubborn attempts to get into the sewer provided a nice contrast to Jay's near panic. And, honestly, that was brave as hell; you couldn't convince me to go into tunnels like that with a gun to my head in normal life, let alone when there's an eldritch abomination sliding around.

Interesting to see Tim bring up the fact that they weren't warned that Alex had sprung himself (or been sprung) from his captivity. Though I wasn't pleased to see the tease about calling the anti-hero "the person in the hoodie." C'mon, man. You know who he is.

I predict a ToTheArk video next, condemning Tim for running away when he could've potentially saved Jay from his fate (whatever that might be).

I don't see how this entry was necessary. Even for the casual viewer, I don't think the story would have suffered much if we didn't know every single tunnel Tim crawled through when he was there. The only worthwhile thing we found out is that Tim is out of pills and that could have just been explained in exposition text. It's not like we actually saw them get stolen. All in all I'd say this really should have been cut down and merged with the next entry. We already knew that Tim was ok from last entry so there wasn't any suspense.

I know that, it's just kinda an obvious thing to miss, in my eyes.

At about thirteen minutes when Tim's digging through the duffel bag in the car you can hear the gunshot that killed Jay.

I definitely heard something there, but I don't know if I can positively identify it as a gunshot because of the distortion. Not saying it's impossible, though.

Edit: ledzepfilm's sync agrees with it being a gunshot.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The Operator
?

I thought that too, but it's difficult to tell. Also, when Tim flees Benedict Hall, there's some massive, Operator-level distortion, but the Operator is either not present or not making its presence known.

Also my thought re: Operator at the end of the hall, but again, too hard for me to make out.

@ledzepfilm: Those syncs are pretty interesting. Feel free to link them up on the wiki for those entries under Further Spec if you want.

Atmospherically, this entry was great. It felt like I was playing a Tim First Person Survival Horror or something. It was friggin' awesome. Everything from the talking to the man, to using the crowbar to open the manhole cover, to crawling through the pipes. I couldn't help but think the whole time how cool of a level in a game this would be.

*Chuckle*

In the DVD commentary for Season 2, Joseph even says that they are known to make continuity errors.

Did Tim see TO at some point? I re-watched the part where he leaves Benedict Hall, but really couldn't tell

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You can see him in the reflection of the glass door as Tim was backing away from it.

That looks a lot like TO. And when Tim backs up to the spot where it looks like TO was standing, his camera completely glitches out. If it's intentional and not just everyone's eyes playing tricks, it subtly very, very creepy.

I thought the sign Tim picked up in the sewers was very clever

"No entry without authorization"

I know it doesn't mean a ding dong damn thing; however, I thought it was a nice nod to what the uploads were called and, eh, maybe(Here comes my overthinking), a message from Hoody/TTA/Slendy saying "Nothing happens without my saying so"

*hides from backlash for my stupidity*

That can't be The Operator. Jay's footage shows the Operator to be nowhere in sight.

And thanks Zarggg. I don't have access for editing the wiki, so somebody like Katsatitagain would have to do that.

That's pretty hardcore, didn't see any of that!

First of all, great work on the comparison vid Led. Very cool.

I think this Entry was super important because it clears up a lot of the trust issues with Tim's character. What were his motives at the college, and what was he up to behind the scenes? Turns out he was approaching the college with a much more levelheaded attitude than Jay could have possibly mustered. Also Hoody finally got some more pills - might this have been part of Hoody's motive for drawing them there? Also, Tim is out - I think Masky is gonna show up before this is all over.

Also, I think they very specifically showed us the inside of Tim's bag as a nod to the red herring from (I think) 72, which had people questioning why Tim wanted the papers in a certain pocket and whether he was hiding something. I saw no mask, and no gun, so I'm guessing he just wanted the papers in a separate pocket so that they wouldn't get wrinkled and torn being in with his change of clothes.

Decent Entry. Establishes some trust between the viewer and Tim. The parts in the tunnel were really scary, absolutely excellent shooting location.
