For what it's worth, like I said, I don't think genderbending Marble Hornets is profound in any way, it's a gimmick. But even disliking this series, I still think AssassinB was an ass over the course of page 7.

Because I use a word or term offensively does not mean that my points are invalid. If you can only focus on how I convey a message instead of the message I convey, you don't deserve to be on this forum.

Again, I won't apologize, I won't take it back, I won't "provide facts" for you to debunk because in all honesty, I really don't care that much about transgender people in real life for better or for worse, I just find it funny that the majority of people who ARE transgender and in the verse are being pulled to this series faster than any other one around just because it's gimmicky and "different".

Be all buttmad if you want but I've been here since the first entries of Marble Hornets, the people who have created this "series" have probably not (at least that is my belief as it seems they have a blatant disregard for die hard fans), I'm entitled to my opinion. Instead of nitpicking on my choice of words why don't you pay attention to the points I raise?

Okay, this is getting out of hand so I'll throw in my 2 cents. I don't post much here and the interactions in this thread is why. So, I am going against my better judgement here.

People don't like this b/c its a female cast or it has a trans-gender cast member. People dislike this b/c its a remake of Marble Hornets that barely adds a bit to it, aside from the Tumblr account and a few added bits in the entries like Latro (I believe that is the 'TTA' of this story).

I actually tried watching a few entries but couldn't get into it. However, this bickering as gone on long enough. Don't use sexism as a reason for people disliking this. That's not the reason. I do like Keratin Garden (spelling?) but haven't kept up with it lately and its a mostly female cast.

I, personally, think Marble Hornets should never have been made, at least not without permission from the creators. And before you say that they never got permission to use the Slenderman from Victor Surge, I actually asked that in the Season 3 Off-Topic thread in the MH form. Victor Surge is okay with the people use the Slenderman in their series (i'm guessing he's okay as long as they don't make money unless with his permission).

So, this is my opinion on this. This is all I am going to say on this.


EDIT: Something else I want to add on. To those who keep on posting here and saying they dislike it, just post it once and talk to a mod about it and move on. Constantly complaining about it won't make it go away

There's nothing about this series that's even remotely interesting nor good. There's so many other series people have been like, "hmm this is similar to this series or this one" and wag harsh fingers yet this piece of shit is 8 pages long??

I am immediately taking this to Troy as I type this. This is an embarrassing attempt to garnish revenue and outright plagiarize the first works of three very talented writers. I encourage the rest to do the same, and also report this to Troy and Co.

Seriously, why did no one think to do that before? 8 pages of nonsense could have been avoided.

Sorry for the double post but can anyone confirm that they are using youtube advertisements? If they are then it's definitely getting axed.

Edit: Kind of jumped the gun in posting that and dug a little myself. I see no ads so far. Nonetheless. I believe this should be brought to Troy & Co.'s attention, if you would all be so kind as to help me out here. I share the opinion that if it were just meant to be a homage then I would be alright with it but direct plagiarism is never okay. EVER.

Even if they do nothing about it I honestly expect it to peter out and fall flat on its face just as many others have before it. There isn't a difference at all. We've seen it all before. Their OOG explanation is laughable. No one cares to see a juxtaposition of an original work and a blatant belligerent copy.

I especially find it outright insulting that they apparently believe that we don't want to see any "Originality" portrayed. What? If anything the tropes are actually getting stale. Please, originality would be a breath of fresh air. It would certainly have been better than what is obviously an attention grab and potential draw AWAY from the original product.
