This series honestly has a bad start, but it gets better as the videos go on.

why is that whenever a new trailhead is posted I feel it needs to be followed with a facepalm thread? Sad

It could be better if it wasn't a 12 year old doing it, but the first entry didn't grab me

9/10
Beautiful work of modern fiction

I just watched this entire series. All of it. Every single video. All the way through.

It was fantastic.

From my guess, our young lisping hero, Jackson, is between the ages of 8-11, which means that he is still working from the tail-end of that special brand of imagination that can only come from the ignorant and sweetly-insane mind of a young child... But the innocence with which a much smaller young 'un might observe the issues at hand is given a sharper edge thanks to the occasional uttering of "Christ," "freaking crap," and "what the heck," followed by a more forceful "son of a bitch!" in Tape 22.

The intelligence and depth of the "plot" (and I use the term 'plot' lightly, since this series clearly transcends such mundane fodder as 'storyline,' 'character development,' 'editing,' 'visual aesthetic,' or 'coherent dialogue') is enhanced by the creator's expert gamejacking of all prominent slenderseries, including (but not limited to) Marble Hornets, DarkHarvest00, and TribeTwelve, along with several apparent re-dos of scenes from EverymanHybrid.

Diversity is a big deal these days, and this series spares no expense at including a diversity of monsters, despite the fact that almost none of them are ever seen on camera. A very tiny Slenderman (Slenderbaby?) does make an appearance (portrayed by what appears to be a lightbulb atop a hanging sweater vest, and later a white patch of wall in an abandoned barn), along with numerous mentions of an Original Monster dubbed "the Bell Toler," the Rake, the Observer, and Silver Leaf of Warriorcats.

All-in-all, this series is the equivalent of strapping a Go-Pro camera to a five-year-old for a year and letting him run wild. And I, for one, wish that more slenderseries would take a leaf from this precocious tyke's (Black) book.

SCORE: 9/10 (would recommend to a friend)
RATING: PG13 (strong language, heavy gamejacking)

I only watched the first maybe 3(?) videos, so I don't know how bad it is, but I have to admire this kid for creating the first vlog where Slenderman actually stalks kids (on camera).

Went to his channel and noticed that Tape 8 has 500,000 views.

FIVE. HUNDRED. THOUSAND.

That's more than most MH entries from season 3, and also more than any EMH or TT video.

That's because the video is titled, "Tape 8. THE SLENDER MAN CAUGHT ON TAPE." not "Entry #87"

People are looking for slenderman on youtube so the search bar directs them to that video, and because the views stacked up the video is not at the top of the results.
