Call me naïve, but I believe Tim when he says he never got the message. We actually see Jay being apologetic one day, and highly aggressive the next. There was a change, and Tim would have noted it sooner had he gotten the message. There would be no reason to hide that Jay had been different a day earlier, since it would have enforced that Jay was losing it.

Tim will be getting that voice mail in a later entry.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
This gives me a dilemma... because the moment that happens, I might just jump the Hoody=Brian ship for Hoody=Future Jay since long-term time jumping would suddenly become OK.

On the other hand, something in the back of my head tells me that's what Trosephim wants me to think, just to pull the rug out again and have it be Brian after all. Or Seth. Or Sarah.

Seriously, if he gets that call in the next entry or two, I'll be completely at a loss of what to think anymore.

Wouldn't Tim mention the voicemail to Jay in #77 if he got it? Tim ain't lying.

Assuming Tim himself has always been in his right mind, yes. Even with his meds there's no guarantee of that.

Finally, one last thought in relation to my 6th point... There is another instance of a very strange phone related anomaly occurring in Rosswood, and it also happened when someone tried to go through the tunnel. Remember in 64/65 when Alex called Jay and said "Leave. Now." That was SUPER fucking random and weird and never really explained. Was that TO using a clip of Alex's voice to try and communicate with the intruders? Or was Alex temporarily in a timey wimey situation himself, calling a Jay whom he still thought was his ally? What if the Alex that calls Jay in 64 was in fact past Alex from the missing seven months in S2 when he and Jay were still allies? Just some food for thought, obviously speculation but that was never explained.

I was going to bring this up too. If you think about it, why the fuck would Alex ever say that? He wants to kill them, but when they reach the tunnel....he calls Jay and tells him to leave? That makes no sense.

Honestly man, more perplexing than the motive for Alex to do this is how the hell he would know to do it in the first place. Alex had been trying to track and kill both of them, why would he not attack them if he were nearby? How could he possibly have been aware of their situation or location? And if he had Jay's phone number this whole time, and he's trying to find them, and he knows Jay will answer if he calls, why the hell is this the only time he's called and the only thing he's said to them? Wtf?

Thats what we were getting at. What if it wasn't actually Alex?

Also, going back to those markings on the shed, don't you think that it would be really easy to just avoid them when shooting? You never have to point the camera there. But I agree, I think its something Troy would confirm if it was not supposed to be in game

If he got the voicemail, then Tim would most likely question Jay's sudden moodswing. He's about as done with TO/Hoody/Alex's shit as Jay is/was, as well as how badly he wants answers. He wouldn't lie to the viewers to hide his confusion.

Longtime lurker here posting because I see a vague similarity with this symbol to another I know:

Mark of the Outsider from Dishonored. If there is a resemblance y'all see and it's not just me, I'm thinking it could be OOG or just a reference.

Well, the main character in that game does wear a mask... Wink

Why can't they just walk over the tunnel instead of going through it? I think there'd be much less raggle-fraggle warping and crap if they'd do that.

Oh, and what the muffins is that tall thing in the background at 5:56 and 6:26? I don't have a screenshot of it, so go check it out yourself. It looked like a tower to me at first, but then I thought it was a tree. I'm still not sure what it is.

I don't disagree with your point that Tim is probably not lying here, but that being the case, he did not see a mood swing.

In 75, they had the confrontation about the tape, and Jay left angry. In 76 Jay posted the video from the tape, and ended it by accusing Tim of lying. That's clearly not his attitude here, where he tells Tim he understood why he tried to hide it and is apologetic. So he must have watched it first, then gone through the tunnel as we see here, THEN posted 76 AFTER he'd been Operated on. So in 77 when he returns to Tim's house, as far as Tim knows (from having watched 76 himself) Jay is angry just as he was before. So Jay's change of heart, and then his return to paranoia and anger, would have been completely hidden from Tim.

Under "not lying" I'd include the case where Tim did receive the message, but was either not in a right frame of mind to remember it, or had the memory erased. He'd thus be telling the truth as far as he knows. Its hard to reconcile him having received the message with him being prepared for Jay's attempt to restrain him in 77.

No, it looks much more like a ship's wheel.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
OOG, the tunnel goes under a busy highway. You can hear the traffic in the video, although they're careful to avoid showing the cars. When Jay "fell" and "dropped the camera", they obviously concealed an edit where they moved to a different location.

For reasons. Mysterious, mystical reasons.

Looked like a burned tower to me.

There is another cut at 4:55, if you hadn't noticed it already.
A burned tower, you say? Sounds creepy.

I'm pretty sure the symbol on that paper in the shack's floor is someone's geometry homework. :V

"I couldn't turn in my homework, Mrs Teacher, because the operator took me to the hoody hut and I lost it while I was having a seizure." :V

Sometime in the future, Tim recieves that message from Jay while under attack from The Operator...

Edit: Guys, what if The Operator doesn't travel people through time, but carries a specific moment of time with it where it goes? Which is why cameras spaz out, they're recording stuff while time shouldn't be progressing.

Edit 2:

Yeah sure you didn't you fucking liar.

"the date on this was the day before Jay attacked me."

ATTACKED you? That's a pretty melodramatic way of saying that he walked into your house. You have no idea what he was planning to do, or if he even had a plan. He never fucking attacked you.

"caused him to go from apologetic to violent."

Walking into someone's house is an act of violence, guys. But stabbing people with a knife while wearing a Halloween mask? Totally normal.

Go fuck yourself, Tim.

Why are you so mad though? Jay was holding a knife when he entered Tim's house and his intentions were obvious.

Oh silly me, bringing a knife with you to a person's house who has been known to break into your apartment/hotel room wearing a Halloween mask is such a dumb thing to do. Why would Jay want protection just in case? Pffft.

I seriously don't get why so many people do not see this. It stuns me that they think Jay was being a violent asshole by confronting someone known to be volatile with a knife to protect his ass, and in the same breath, continually call him an idiot for decisions he made earlier. bringing a knife is a very smart thing to do in this case. This is a case of Jay being smart but people continuously call him a violent idiot for it? What? My only guess is there are some Tim-Tinted-Glasses here.

The area at that point looks the same to me. I noticed a cut at 4:55, however.

The traffic sounds disappear and the light changes. We see Jay losing his balance by his shadow; afterward it's too cloudy for him to cast a shadow. And the area doesn't look the same to me at all other than that he's still in the woods.

But yes, there's also a cut at 4:56, when there was not a big change in the traffic sounds but the sunlight got suddenly bright. Or was it a warp? Is that when the shape of Rosswood twisted around him? Did it happen twice?

If it was the Operator who prevented Tim from receiving Jay's message (either by rerouting it or completely altering it), it might not be the first time it's messed with Jay's phone. There was a tweet from Jay when he went to the red tower that he claims originally said "found something" but came out altered gibberish. Seems like if the Operator could change a text or message, it could send its own.

Is anyone else bothered that the last couple of Jay entries may have been from alt Jay? Sad
