Well, every other time a link said "entry" and not "Entry" everybody freaked out and started speculating about who really posted it, because entries posted by Hoody/TTA usually aren't capitalized. Which would mean something. Hence, my noticing it. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Skully was probably something used once to increase the creepy factor of the #26 tape. Nothing else.

The issue I have with Jay being Skully is the fact that Skully has held absolutely no relevance to the plot so far, nor has Jay really acted in a way that would imply he has a masky/skully state. To add Jay = Skully would be to add a whole new storyline arc where they'd have to go on explaining why on earth no one has noticed before, what Skully has been doing and why.

So as people mentioned, Skully probably isn't something that will be of any major importance in that sense. But more likely added for visual effect and creepiness.

1. It is my belief that Skully may have at one point been intended as plot relevant, but that idea was most likely later scrapped, hence the lack of any reappearances. I doubt they featured that brief clip with the thought "Hey, let's introduce a character who we will intentionally never feature again until the end of the series!"

2. This does not mean they could not choose to make it relevant once again and bring in a character with that mask. I still think it *could* be cool if they did something like that, though I'm not sure they necessarily should.

3. That said, it's not likely that Skully would ever be Jay because even if Jay were to gain a "masky state", most signs right now suggest that he did not already have one back in S1 and certainly not in 2006 (There is an argument that can be made in favor of his having one, but it's not as likely.) If Skully were to prove relevant, it would be someone else, most likely. Which again makes the likelihood of Skully ever reappearing pretty low, since there aren't a lot of options for identity if it's not Jay and not whoever Hoody turns out to be.

My best bet, though, is that it was a plot element scrapped sometime after S1 ended. Perhaps, as some have suggested, the original design for Hoody.

For what its worth, it actually was pointed out when Tim made the tweet. Further indication of his crumbling mental state, to add to his stumbling gait in the footage from 82.

Skully is largely irrelevant, but I will point out its interesting you mention it, as I just had a theory about Skully being Alex that I posted in a different thread. In the theory, Alex USED to be TTA, in S1. Going on Henry's theory, it would work if he just still was.

For whatever else its worth, I tend to agree with Henry's theory about all the characters have a different state, but I don't think they are "sometimes proxies" or that they all have a "multiple personality disorder" thing going on. Rather, as I've stated in some longwinded posts in the past, I think that when TO is near, he has some sort of like EMP field thing that overloads your brain similar to how he glitches the cameras. When in the vicinity of this EMP field, you are blacked out, but functional - similar to someone who is black out drunk but still up and about, but without the other side effects of being drunk. Quite suddenly being in the middle of a creepy burnt hospital with someone you barely know with no recollection of why you are there or how you got there really seems to set Alex off... For one example. Tim's meds cancel out the field's effects, so you can keep your cool when near TO and remember why you're there and what's going on around you. A simple explanation for a lot of things, really, but I'm too lazy to further this rant with additional details. Smile

The problem with that theory is that we've seen Tim go masky when the operator isn't around, in the entry where hoody takes his pills. That entry shows that the sickness builds up to a certain level and then overtakes Tim's body.

This doesn't change the theory much it just means that the damage TO fields cause doesn't heal immediately after he leaves. To continue the metaphor you don't get sober the second you stop drinking.

It's possible that Tim could've gone outside, only to find TŘ in his yard. Tim would've then thought, 'Oh crap, I better go get my pills,' but they were stolen when he needed them most.

Unlikely, since hoody didn't seem to be affected at all and was right near him

Well, he could've popped some off-camera. It's not too far fetched.

Could I please have others' opinions on this matter? Mr. Hornets here seems to have lost his Marbles.

Ladies and gentlemen! My I present to you the time of the month where the recent entry's juices have been squeezed dry. Let the circus continue!

- Circus theme plays as the ring master leaves his post gesturing toward the clowns barreling in from outside the tent and tossing dry pieces of fruit into the crowd.
- Crowd eats it up. Their bellies are never full. They lust for more.
- A new entry is posted center at the center of the ring. Juices pour out all over the crowd. They shower in it and bath each other with it. Juices run dry. - A clown laughs as he digs up an old dry piece of fruit from his burlap sac and tosses it into the crowd. Everyone laughs until someone takes a bite and they realize how hungry they've become.
- The joke goes on.

Well, I just rewatched #61, and I agree with Marble Hornets.

Plus, when The Operator is around, it's usually made clear (even if we have to stare at still shots for a long time to find him). There was some mild distortion, but only the kind caused by Hoody...and Masky.
