I don't wish to reopen the "Oppy was phone" line of conjecture, but he can also mimic voices, as he did in Entry #23. It seems he recorded Jay saying "Hello?" and played it back, though in different registers. Maybe that was an attempt at conversation then (though it was more likely an attempt at intimidation)? Maybe he somehow recorded Jay's v-mail for Tim and also the record of the received call? (Or maybe as Jay was on the other side of the tunnel and under TO's influence, the call would have registered on Tim's phone as a miss from a strange number as Alex's did in Entry #64, or as BLOCKED or RESTRICTED? It would explain why Tim didn't remember getting a call from Jay on that day--maybe he had his phone off or was at work or something, TO intercepted the voicemail, and the phone record would have shown a missed call from XXX. Tim never said for sure that he didn't receive any calls that day; he said that he could not remember having received any.

Aaaah, sometimes it's best to embrace the goddamn mystery.

My theory

ok has anyone noticed that the operator seems to act like Pied Piper because he used to hypnotize children and when they were taking out the hypnotism they would forget where they were and what they were doing same thing with the operator. Also, it seem that OP is like a Silencer and Weepimng Angel but he wants people like a parasite requires a host but he can adapt and requires proxies
