ZDK1 blog does indeed look suspicous, it is possible however, that it isn't in fact canon, but an OOG blog from the founder of IRIS (assuming it in fact is an ARG).

Either way, IRIS 12 (sound file 12) has been uploaded - it didn't yield anything in spectograph, but it DOES for once contain sounds and speach that is quite clear. It almost sounds like some kind of TV-documentary sound, or possibly an e-book. Which then changes to some very gitty music, sounding like it comes from a TV-series/children's show.

This is getting more confusing by the minute in my opinion. We have all of these things that we're considering clues, but no clue to what context they're supposed to be decoded.

Seeing as the song is called "Bye bye Blackbird" I will stay with my previous statement that Blackbird appears to be either the operative name of an operation intended to shut IRIS down, OR the nickname to the person attempting to do so (which is even more worrying if that's the case).

cursory checks of the images and their source files shows no detectable change or difference in size. then again, i am also not at all experienced with steganography but i was told unusual file size would be the first thing to look for. replacing pixels might not change it significantly enough though. does anyone know of a program that can decrypt those types of images? i assume we'd need a key to do that. nothing i've read on wikipedia really describes how you decrypt, just encryption methods.
BUT it does say that this can be done with audio as well, are spectrograms what reveal this?

EDIT: i have a program now (not sure how reliable it is) that i'm checking the images on, but i'm not finding anything. i could just not have the right password (i've been using ZODIAK) but it spits out a message of "this media does not appear to contain a hidden message."
EDIT 2: actually nothing is showing up, even images with confirmed hidden messages, so my program is probably crap.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but the spectogram of IRIS's 12th audio post turns out binary digits that translate to ZODIAK.

The equations as you called them aren't actually equations but they are functions to the graphs show in the picture. Not sure if those specific functions are of importance with the rest of the audio files we got though.

Looks like IRIS has moved on from just blackbirds. Still not sure what exactly it wants from us, though.

EDIT: Most of the text in that post seems to be from https://wiki.kcls.org/tellmeastory/index.php/Two_Little_Blackbirds so we're back to blackbirds again.

This blog is confirmed related to IRIS - the password is 1319243, the same numerals found in ninth audio post, and both blogs have been posting the same phrases. Also ZDK1/Zethan is pretty much a confirmed gamejack by this point.

I don't know exactly what it means, but in a recent post IRIS mentioned a signorum. When I searched for what it meant, I found this definition: 'The Homo signorum or zodiacal man is a picture illustrating the concept of the zodiacal melothesia, i.e. the idea of a connection between the signs of the zodiac and the human body parts.'

I don't know how important it is, but IRIS has been mentioning the zodiac a lot.
