There's a theory by some people on Tumblr right now that IRIS is related to the upcoming movie Transcendence. The website for that (with trailer) is at http://rift.transcendencemovie.com/ and the director has mentioned blogs in at least one interview.

Any ZDK before 10 is not canon. Iris says so itsself, stating nothing exists before. 1.0. Also, zdk1.tumblr.com has absolutely nothing to do with the current story as of right now.

EDIT: ZDK10 now has an item up for sale. The picture is of a giant isopod, although the item description is "Acceptable: An item with obvious and significant wear but is still operational. Since the auction doesn't end until Saturday, I would recommend not bidding until then, so we don't drive up the price. It could hold an important clue, if 10 is even physically able to ship the item that is, and we don't want it to get too expensive.
