No movement from either IRIS or 11 today, and things seem to have come to a bit of a standstill? I'm going with the theory that there's something on blackbi87 that we're supposed to figure out that no one has gotten yet.

EDIT: Another distinct possibility is that the GM is on the East Coast and is without power due to the snow we've been getting.

10 has cancelled the auction, some people have messaged it to find out why.
My guess, going by 11's disbelief, is that they didn't expect it to get so high so soon. Very Happy

The song in blacbi87's new movie is some of the lighter sections of "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" by Skrillex. Does anybody have an idea what that code might be towards the end?

Edit: It's not entirely that song, as it turns out; the guitar chords at the end aren't part of the original song, and I'm definitely hearing some high-pitched noise towards the beginning. Might just be video compression, though?

It's about a decade since I got my stat degree, so forgive me if my derivatives/integrations are wrong, but:
If e^-x is "the derivative," I believe if you integrate it it's (x^2)/2 * -e^-x (+C). (but uhhhh, someone check my work.)
If you're meant to take the derivative of e^-x, that's easier -- it's -e^-x.

Blackbird Tech's FB "birthday" is July 8, 2011, even though all their public posts are way more recent. If someone gets a chance to catch them on the phone, might want to ask why they started a FB page for their group all the way back in 2011. Were they even in college then? How long have they been into tech and how long have they been working on the zodiak AIs?

Also, it may just be coincidence, but based on the phone conversations so far, has anyone else noticed the vague similarities between Anna and 11? Anna's short-tempered and irascible, and curses pretty often for someone on the phone with strangers. She's often pretty socially awkward -- but might you be, if you were, say, being piloted by a rogue AI in some way? And might your phone calls also be horribly garbled?

I also noticed, and this is where my spitballing really starts to get out there, but the inspirational quote Clem posted to their fb is from ( http://forum.schizophrenia.com/uploads/default/346/553506acd9308354.jpg ) a schizophrenia forum? I did a few quick GISes and that copy of the image isn't remotely one of the top results you'd get if you were searching that Einstein quote. (I reverse GISed and it leads back to a 41-year old mom -- looks unrelated to ARG stuff. Though I'd be surprised if an ARG had the poor taste to put a game character on a real mental illness forum, so.) But could schizophrenia/mental illness be involved? Like, frex, if this was all a programmer with MPD trying to build learning AIs that could be used to house/give independent life to the programmer's various multiples in some way? (One of the calls does say the programs could be improved with "human code.") Something in that vein could explain some of the discrepancies between the obvious activity of 10/11/12 and the apparent belief of both Clem and Anna on the phone that 10/11/12 have all been shut down?

Okay, I need to stop. It's too early in the ARG and this is way too speculative. XD

I'd be pretty interested in knowing more about 10's corruption, but it doesn't seem like IRIS or 11 are terribly concerned with them. Maybe we should focus an effort on communicating with 10 and trying to build their vocabulary through interaction like what happened with IRIS.
