So I just found this ARG and caught up on everything (yes, all 47 pages. I'm a grad student with a procrastination problem.)

While I was reading, I noticed that someone identified the recipie13 poem as being from the Rubaiyat, but no one really followed up on that, it seems. Also, at some point Australia had some sort of relevance? Anyway, this caught my attention because the Rubaiyat is related to the Somerton Man, who is a famous unsolved/unidentified murder victim sometimes theorized to have been a secret agent/operative of some sort. This is partly because of his mysterious identity and death, but also because his copy of the Rubaiyat contained some handwritten code. Maybe in the context of the game, he's a time traveller whose mission didn't go so hot?

Anyway, I don't know if this is likely to be anything, but since no one seems to know what to make of the poem, I figured I'd point this out while we wait on the Amiibos.

I think we may want to keep watch of the 0-hour game jam tonight. Jim has submitted things to it in previous years, and he's made multiple mentions of it on Twitter. He could just be trying to spread the word of a game jam he likes, but there is of course also the possibility that he'll be submitting something anonymously that ends up being a clue or, dare I say it, Frog Fractions 2 itself? (I don't actually think Jim would release FF2 into the wild in this fashion)

That's really interesting, Roseface! I am kind of in the same boat as you--while we wait, I'm going back and trying to understand the larger narrtive of what we're exploring. Everyone here is awesome at cracking the codes, but I think understanding more about the world of the ARG and having a narrative reference might help us a lot!

It appears to have nothing significant, but it's a fun distraction.

Technically that could just be FF2. Wink

I've just caught up to this ARG, and while we're waiting for the amiibo, I think that there are some other games worth investigating for possible clues.

looking on the neogaf form, they came up with this image back in September

[/code]

as you can see, it mentions frog fractions, as well as other games that have been of interest to the ARG, super Mario Maker and SPL-T.
Picross is really my main concern here, because according to the wiki page

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Picross_3D

picross 3D has a level designer akin to the Mario Maker. Add this with being the first one on the list, it may be worth looking into for someone who has this game on their DS.

It's not a clue. I know this because the listener's mail about Picross in that episode of VGHD was actually sent in by me. The puzzle editor in Picross 3D doesn't have an easy way to share custom levels; it has to be through local wireless or Wi-Fi, and I'm pretty sure those servers are down now.

A sequel was just released in Japan, which I've dumped nearly 40 hours into, but it has no editor.

I think we need the amiibo to continue, in retrospect the arg seems to have been pretty dead fast at hinting towards the indiecade.

That sounds the same. I don't think it has changed. Youtube shows the same thumbnail that I remember. Is there a way to see if the video has been edited on YT?
