This is a current assignment.

Episode 26 – Extrinsic Blood Coagulation Cascade.
The theme is the body. The game is: Operation.

Recipe:
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1/2 cup 125 grams diced onion
1/2 cup 125 grams diced celery
6 porkloin ribchops
engrave 1.5" 3.7 cm thick set
1 cup 250 grams diced dried waaaaan bread
1 avenue apple peeled cored and dice.

This recipe looks like a game board. We are playing Operation. There are three parts in the board game that are relevant here. The spare rib, the adam's apple and the bread basket. We are required to remove them. (or something)

The rib looks to be spare. A pork cut is not generally known as a "pork loin rib chop". It's awkward. Out of place. It's either a loin OR a rib chop.

There are four out of place words in the monologue. Engrave after ribchops (and before 1.5, ref: Tunisia code 615? 6 before Porkloin), waaaan before bread and avenue before apple. The last is where the word dice is said instead of diced. A board game ref, I believe

And dice = And PLAY.

Avenue can link to referencing the throat. Waaaaan – meh not too sure on that one. Perhaps Jim wasn't either. Sometimes whatevertf will do.

I only found FF a few days ago for the first time. I have stuffed my head to maximum, and the emergent properties are quite something. Loving it.
Has anyone analysed the audio in this particular hot dog? I don't have skills in that area. Anyone?

This is a really cool line of thought, I'm unsure if #HKTom is part of the arg though, I think it's a spam bot.

One of its posts are located in full here.

http://inform-buro.org/naukaizdorove/page,1,7,9334-appleiphone5globusnews.html

Might be part of the arg, it was posted after the kickstarter I think but I dunno.

Oh, I get it. Waaaaaaan. Wan. As in Pale. As in White bread. (in original recipe)

There is only one post I can find from #HKTom and all the accounts it has are dated on or after 1st Nov 2015, when the original recipe was posted in Magic Skillet. http://magicskillet.com/recipe/apple-stuffed-pork-chops/

No matter where it comes from, it's a funny script.

Look at this line/comparison to original:
"Mellow with 1/3 teaspoon sarcasm cum grano salis and 1/4 teaspoon bad pepper and stir again." (#HKTom)
"Season with 1/3 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper and stir again." (Original)
This definitely looks hand crafted and it's the same flavour as FF.

Theme: You gotta deviate from the recipe.

I am surprised there was nothing in the audio. It didn't sound right to me, at all. Could something be buried in a new way?

AVAILABLE REQUISITIONS

• Hops

The only object here we haven't seen elsewhere is the Anti-Sparkle Lotion. F-Rations is the FF inventory, I think. Noted is that they must be placed in order. Placed in order, in order to order.

Sparkles has been mentioned a lot. It reminds me of the tape and the wires in the engine room.
Sparkly Annihilation
Danger Sparkles
Anti-Sparkle Lotion
Operation Glitterbuster

Add - The background at Asbhy Brewery is made up of sparkles

That's of course very possible, I don't have a clue how to extract it if so though.

We need more people and brains on this. if you're lurking, pls add your thoughts? I have no idea what I'm doing this is all completely new to me, so don't feel out of place.

After a few days of looking around, I haven't got very far. Here are some things which may (or may not) be of use:

We really needed that Luigi!

The dates in the "About" page at Ashby's are 1777 (established) and 1738 for the Blue Revolution.
Blue Revolution is a website https://bluerevolution.com/
With "Established in 1999" prominently displayed. The colour blue used is #777777

Asbhy's website was established in 1999. The opening hours are 9 Am to 9:00 Pm. Am and Pm are capitalised, which they shouldn't be, so I was thinking there is a code in the capitalisation on the About page, using 9s as the base. I haven't found anything so far, but then again I am a complete beginner.

The address is 2020 (vision; look at map?). Albany Hill (where the hops are sourced) has a supermarket near it called #99 Ranch Market. Their opening hours are 9am to 9pm.

Mark Twain wrote a book called The celebrated Jumping Frog of Cavaleras County in 1865.

I can't link Samuel, our next presumed log in, to anything.

The women in the background in Krampusloaf are talking about the state of the Theatre system and a play involving Krusty the Clown and about there being a hidden message in it to do with the state of the economy.
If that is set up, does that have anything to do with the BART thing?

I would love for there to be something else we can make in the bread oven. I remember that someone early in this thread said that it was *a fact* that nothing else existed in FF1. Is there a way to be able to tell, presently, if that is true? Just so time isn't wasted on a fruitless search.

I am completely stumped.

This is a great walkthrough of what we currently have, it's very possible that we have just missed a lot of clues just because we found something less hidden and assumed that was it.

As for FF1 I assume someone decompiled it to check the assets. I also tried to change the recipie back then and had no luck.

I'm wondering if we should compile some of the thematic elements. A lot of the themes have been platformey (Luigi amiibo, among others) so possibly that's the type of game it is hidden under.

Also the sparkles, time travel business, maybe a more action-y type of game?

I have also sent a few guesses via e-mail (I believe you can do this if you're a backer) and have all turned out negative, those guesses we can rule out are:

Domestic Dog Simulator (thought it would be future released DLC)
Word Realms (Thought it would be because it was made by kingdom of loathing peeps, who seem to be related to the hotdog train and the podcasts.)
Magicians Apprentice (Thought because it looked so awful and was newly released it had a good chance. But Jim was very witty with his reply so I chose to include it:
Quote:
Whoa, fascinating. Not many games aspire to the awful grainy pre-rendered billboard look, but, y'know, I get it. Probably there's a decent-sized audience for whom being like Diablo 2 is more important than being good.

I was just thinking about Samuel earlier today; Mark Twain's birthname was Samuel Langhorne Clemens and, apparently, he wrote an imitation of the Rubaiyat. I'm thinking the log-in might be "samuel/rubaiyat" or "samuel/twain" or something of that nature, but I'm not sure. To be thorough, we ought to dictionary attack with that snippet of the Rubaiyat we got.

Also, re: the Luigi Amiibo, I emailed Twinbeard and asked if we'd need it to continue, seeing as we're having problems getting it. I'll respond if I get an answer.

Edit: Actually, if this was really clever, the log in would be related to that Twain-version of the Rubaiyat. It'd probably have a password in the Twain-rewrite of that verse we got ["A Book of Verses underneath the Bough (...)]".

I've been casually following along with this ARG, and I've compiled a list of games that could possibly be Frog Fractions 2. My major criteria were that they had little to no user reviews yet, no reviews by major gaming sites, were released between September - December of this year, and were by developers who had no other games released on Steam. Here's what I've got:

Vector Assault (released as part of Steam's Throwback Thursday even though it isn't a classic game)
Euphoria: Build A Better Dystopia (it's DLC for Tabletop Simulator, but I don't believe DLC has been ruled out as a whole? Someone correct me if I'm wrong about that)
Save The Creatures (none of the three developers have any other games, plus the Zbigniew Staniewicz mentioned in the Recent Updates section seems to be an actor from the early 1900s)
Amos From Outer Space (it mentions "a whole set on insecty games" and "under-water adventure" in its about section)
StarForce: 2193 (watch the trailer video - it's all ClipArt and it screams "this can't possibly be a real game" to me)

Michael Porter, Aaron Smith, Andrew Thomas these names sound extremely familiar to me. I just can not figure out where I've heard about them before. [edit] this seems to be Michael Porter, https://twitter.com/PredSoftwareMP I think we can write this game off as not being FF2.

Also, lmao at the starforce game, if this is ff2 and not a single persons descent into madness (if there is a difference) Jim has gone to lengths to hide it.

This is the website of the game,
http://starforce.simpledesignsgaming.com/index.php

They also provide hosting apparently,
http://www.simpledesignsforsimpleminds.com/

They do seem to be a real company though

Is there an easy way to catch up on everything that's happened? I was here back when these guys did that IRL meetup and got a few stuff in a bag.

Should we have a mindmap like the current Steam ARG is doing?
https://www.mindmeister.com/pt/628152815/northpole-noir
It looks pretty organized, although I have a lot to complain about mindmeister itself. Bad scrolling/zooming/lag.

Maybe a google doc write up would be better. (not public, ofc. dunno why some ARGs did that. it was cancerous.)

Hmm, strange, it must have been a temporary hickup or something, I thought I tried herbie/screamed several times with different capatalization on both pages.

Well, never mind me then.

there is a new train hotdog but only on youtube

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4uQ0YDVNw0

there is a new URL in the description but it seems to lead to the same place.

http://jewelofthehotdognet.work/

nothing in the spectogram from the youtube audio at least.

Video Game Hot Dog twitter, maybe a clue?
Quote:
Train Hot Dog, with its most recent episode, has achieved 32-bit fidelity. http://jewelofthehotdognet.work/

ok, I don't know where I'm going with this but if I convert the youtube videos with a line in them to 1 and the ones without to 0 I get a 32bit value that becomes

00000000101110100010000000000000

12197888

which is nothing in ASCII

but Hexadecimal it's BA2000

BA2000 I recognized as one of these: http://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/sansui/ba-2000.shtml

This all seems completely irrelevant but who knows.
