Mission 5 was a HUGE success, a big shout out to Momentary for being the Op lead and everyone working in Alpha, Beta and Delta for the awesome teamwork.

We had 12 hours to finish finding the files after the servers were down, and Puzzler (as well as the rest of Beta) freaking destroyed it in less than 2, so a big shout out to him.

In short, hell yes we rock go team!

My brother is in Montreal just North of the locations mentioned. Unfortunately he can't get away from work at 1:00pm but he is checking with his gaming friends if anyone is willing to put their lives on the line and join aberrantArbiter.

The Mini-ARG is now over thanks to our agent on the ground in Montreal giving us info.

The Persistent ARG is going to begin soon and more exciting stuff is promised so keep on your toes guys.

Is there a walkthrough of how the last Mission was solved? I was in the IRC chatroom when the medical records were being uploaded and the "bicomplex" login was found, but beyond that I have no idea how things went from there.

By the way... after the fact, I discovered the link for the sixth image. I'll go ahead and explain it since the ARG is over and it can't be re-solved. It might be nice to add it to the solution bit, though... for the sake of completion.

After we got stuck, we managed to discover the location by manually searching for highway interchanges that matched the picture-- eventually settling on Centreville. But all of the previous solutions had established a pattern... terrible accidents, or the worst of their kind, until Luis Garavito. Garavito's image pinpointed his place of birth, prompting us to search for disasters in Genova, Colombia. It turned out that he was actually a serial killer from Genova, Colombia... which was actually the key to locating the interchanges in image six. The connection?

The Virginia Tech Massacre.

How, you ask? Well, think of the proof from image five. It broke the pattern by highlighting a specific individual, and the map clearly indicated his place of birth. What were we looking for? A 'worst of its kind' incident that had taken place in Centreville? Not quite.

" ... The massacre is the deadliest shooting incident by a single gunman in U.S. history and one of the deadliest by a single gunman worldwide ..."

Virginia Tech is located in Blacksburg, Virginia. But what of the established pattern? The shooter was Cho Seung-Hui, and if we check where he was born, well... Guess what. He was born in Korea! Smile

But where did he and his family live, in the US?

Centreville, Virginia.
