Both questions were answered with yes and we got 3 csl:
How will you solve food and water shortage?
How will you solve electricity shortage?
How will you provide enough space to live for everyone?
Okay, I think we have to give more details in our battle plan.
The best answer to water and electricity shortage would be Desertec.
http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desertec
But I think they had some problems in the last few years.
Food shortage and space to live are more difficult and I don't really have an idea on those right now.

Food shortage and space can easily be combined into the one solution.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mycoprotein - Originally created for food shortages, the best method for creating a constant temperature is to house the factories underground whilst there are some technical issues with that, geothermal heat pumps use a similar method to maintain constant temperatures in Eco friendly houses.
The space shortage is solved the same way, you build cities underground. You can use mirrors to direct sunlight so that nobody ends up with Rickets, everybody needs their Vitamin D. Caves of Steel

Ah, I always wondered what quorn is made of.
Well that would be one way to solve it but I think something like reorganisation of global food production would be a better way.
I think there are two ways for this, either every region would produce exactly the ammount of food which is needed for supply of its inhabitants or that each region specialises in the production of one product for the whole world.
The first solution would have drastic effects on global trade and the world market and the other one would eventually cause a rise of transport but I think that could be minimized by keeping the whole production localised.
For the space shortage there are only two ways, either going up or going down. Either one has its problems...

There is also the rather unpopular route of population control....
In regards to technology following science fiction, you could always introduce stillsuits
http://dune.wikia.com/wiki/Stillsuit
and Windtraps
http://dune.wikia.com/wiki/Windtrap
We need to let Gerhard regenerate his health but I also think we need to start thinking about the next set of CQ's to ask i think we probably should only ask one more set based on the already low stats and all in one go. This gives us 6 questions to pose.
Some suggestions:
1. Can we prevent these crises from happening?
2. Are humans the only cause of these crises?
and a curveball since we might as well ask it
3. Is there intelligent life outside of planet earth?

I think we should stay with realistic technologies, allthough I think I've read something about a windtrap like approach a few years ago...
You're right about giving Gerhard time to recover, how much time do we have left for this phase?
Your questions should give us the remaining CSLs, so I think we can submit our battleplan once we have them.

Okay, I think we've missed the deadline due to the downtime of unfiction?
Well, just got an email saying:
Quote:
Critical period - challenge overdue
- BPM dropped by 4
- Temperature increased by 0.4
We should get our battleplan ready asap.
We've got the last two colours with our last set of questions but I can't quote them.right now because I can't access the site on my cellphone.
I still think that using desert areas for energy production is the best way to solve most of the csl as it would produce much more energy as needed.
But that's only my opinion for the tech resort, any other ideas?

Okay, so new email, Gerhards health dropped again and it seems that Russel is gone, so they chose me as the new leading agent.
Unfortunately I'm on vacation the next two weeks, so I will have limited access to the Web.
Do we have any other suggestions for a battleplan aside from the tech department?

The problem with this game is that it is too slow and limiting due to the access on the site.
I've got little bored with it and I've been playing Ingress for the last three weeks which has diverted me into the Real World Quite repetitive but strategic and never-ending all at the same time.
