I agree with others who say that this is the point at which Alex first encounters the operator and his shenanigans.

I have a theory as to why, it's probably rubbish but I'll write it anyway. As Tim mentioned in Entry #59, he'd been getting better before Jay got involved. The auditions were quite a few years before Jay found Tim (Entry #53), so either he was still haunted by the operator at the audition, or his medication had suppressed the effects. If the latter, I suggest that the operator was trapped inside Tim (in a spiritual way or something), and the video camera allowed it to escape. The operator now haunts the owner of the camera, Alex.

Now it's starting to make sense. Okay, remember Slender: The Arrival? Well after I beat the new ending that came out on Halloween and checked the Wiki for it, it came to me:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Even though it was written by Trosephim they said it's not about Marble Hornets but loosely based. And at the ending, The girl Kate she was looking for was going to kill herself and her best friend C.R who was looking for her writing on the walls "YOU LET IT OUT. WE CANT STOP THIS. I FAILED YOU". And then the proxy being Kate takes her (probably dead) meaning that this is a vicious circle and that when you catch the Slenderman sickness from someone (or on camera) then you are continuously haunted. Which means the only way to end it is to die before outbreak. This could be why Alex said everyone was gone even though some weren't. It was his plan. You can't know about T.O or else you're cursed.

Tear away at my theory but it's starting to make sense a little isn't it?
It's not the same story but it's by the same creators of MH. [/spoiler]

I'll bet the next TTA entry (if there is one) will have something in it along the lines of "April Fools", even just one of those little flash lines at the end relating to something in this entry, maybe tricking Tim into thinking that
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Brian was Hoodie the whole time.

Another theory of mine is that there is more than one Hoodie. Honestly, how many places can you find a hooded jacket like that one? OR, like someonie on this thread already said - sorry I forgot who - somebody could have taken the jacket off Brian at some point.

Tim already said he smoked but was sidesburnless. This is a very radical idea but what if this is still the movie? Sure it would seem weird but what if "Marble Hornets" the student film is still just being filmed and this is what we're watching? Radical idea I know but if Tim only grew his facial hair out for the student film why does he still have it? feel free to tear my ideas apart but I'm just throwing it out there, maybe what we're seeing IG is the actual student film Marble Hornets. It would fool everyone. Rolling Eyes

I think you are really really on to something, honestly.

Anyone noticing the Sara dialogue though? You really are onto something.

Maybe, tough I hope not. If this is one five-year-long student film taking place, that's one heck of an incomplete Alex is taking and one wicked patient film professor.

EDIT: It actually wouldn't surprise me from a director who follows David Lynch's Twitter feed (if you haven't yet seen Inland Empire and are not a Lynch fan, then don't).

Here is my theory:

Brian is still alive and Tim is tricking Alex into a trap. Why is Tim so confident now? He wouldn't dare go after Alex in Benedict Hall alone. Yes I know he started to get some coughing fits, but now he has pills. I think he is telling Alex to come and is making him think that Brain is dead. When Alex goes after Tim, he will be double teamed from Tim AND Brian.

Egh, not sure about that. You can't pull a trick like that on an audience after four years of build up - it'd be one thing if the series had been running for six months, they could do that, but after all the mysteries, teasing and drama, I don't think fandom would ever forgive Troseph for that.

Isn't that what they did though killing Jay, and Killing Jessica? Troseph is known for pulling stunts like that, Game Changing stunts and whose to tsop them? Literally I could see this ending with showing Alex's Grade and taking everyone out to dinner, everyone together finally again. There are those of us here though that do want a bad ending but a good ending just seems the best personally. It would be the most game changing thing ever, and would make sense as to why Dark Harvest, Tribe Twelve, and EverymanHybrid haven't crossed over, simply because there is no reason to cross over if this is a movie.

Considering the last EMH episode.......

What a dumb, pointless entry. It's ones like this that make me lose faith in them writing a great ending for the series.

Less work on THAC, more work on MH script writing pls

One thing people should check out is if Tim's house has that mailbox infront of it in previous entries. Could show that Alex was stalking him or something.

They confirmed a long time ago that this wasn't the case

At least three?

- Random guy in the tunnel.
- Seth
- Jay? Brian? Sarah? Jessica?
- Possibly more.

I think Tim is confirming at least one of their deaths, though.

Jay, Jessica, Hoody

This was also such a stupid tape for Hoody to be carrying around. It really isn't all that significant and if Hoody truly is dead and gone forever, they really messed up by not revealing his face in the previous entry. This entry is not a solid confirmation that Hoody is Brian.

I'll meet you half-way:

I disagree--I think it was pretty damn well done, if a bit conventional. If this is the event during which Alex somehow caught TO's attention, then it makes a ton of sense and is far less conventional. Still doesn't answer the questions of what the "MORE" after Entry #12 was, what happened between the gaps in Entry #51, what may have happened when TO entered Tim's music room in Entry #54, and whether or not Entry #76 was doctored to make it seem as if Jessica was abducted by TO (toward what purpose I am unsure, but that entry doesn't seem right to me).

Agreed! Wrap it up and then ride that space station to Abandonia and the fourth dimension.

And for the record (in response to your response to my other post), I don't think we're seeing a movie within a movie--though that must have crossed the mind at least once of everyone who follows this series. That would honestly feel like a betrayal to me.

No. Jay, tunnel man, Hoody.

Wearing the same hoody. Carries a tape with Brian on it. Solid confirmation.

No, that is not a solid confirmation. That could easily be a red herring.
