Yeah.
I suppose they met when Brian was applying for auditions, and got along rather well. Smile

Tim asserts that Brian and Alex were friends and that he was "just along for the ride" in Entry #15. Tim lived near Brian, but Alex and Brian were friends before the production of MH. I hope we get to understand what turned Brian into Hoody, that is one of my main questions at this point.

Is it just me or the recording at the end is a message?

I'm pretty sure it's obvious that entry #37 was heavily edited. Whether that was Masky or Hoody remains to be seen. My theory is thus:

I think that the tone of TTA changing from an anti-Alex to an anti-Tim tone could be that Hoody (Brian) thought Alex was the original cause of this, as evidenced by these events all happening around the shooting of MH. When he discovered that this was not the case, he turned on Tim. After Decay, the next several TTA vids are either "liars" or focusing on Tim.

I just watched Decay with this in mind, and the tone is now "You've ruined Alex. All of these deaths at his hand are on you, because you've cursed us all. Jay will bring me to you, by meeting you I will go to death, and to the Ark"

Additionally, I find it interesting that TTA's first mention of Ark (it's name) happened after Entry 9, before anything remotely weird was shown in the entries. I'm led to believe that TTA (most likely Masky, but if Brian was taken by TO in 51, then him too), has been to The Ark (if we're deciding that's what The Other Place is). I've noticed that TO never appears in The Ark, and that maybe that was the salvation they had. Only the dead stayed in The Ark. The living eventually returned. "Find Alex, find the Ark" is the message Masky leaves Jay.

"Epilepsy occurs as a result of abnormal electrical activity originating in the brain. Brain cells communicate by sending electrical signals in an orderly pattern. In epilepsy, these electrical signals become abnormal, giving rise to an "electrical storm" that produces seizures. These storms may be within a specific part of the brain or be generalized, depending on the type of epilepsy."

Alex has a seizure in entry 43. Tim has had countless. Jay had one in Entry 72. The pills are most likely to prevent the seizure from ocurring, which prevents the operator from weakening you to the point where you can't run away. This is why Hoody wants them.

I'm not sure that "edited out" part is significant. I mean, obviously OOG it was put there for a reason, but what could even be missing there? Tim putting on a black robe and chanting over lit candles while stabbing Alex and Brian? I just don't see what people think Tim could have possibly removed. It's pretty clear that he just edited out (or Alex edited out) him reading through the part for a couple minutes before the actual audition.

Another note: was the whole sideburns/cigarette thing just supposed to be a joke? I honestly couldn't tell if they were taking the piss or if there was some implication that good ol' Slendy was somehow making Alex's stupid student film bleed into reality in the most malevolent way possible.

Damn, now I want to rewatch all the entries and see if every line of Alex's terrible screenwriting can be twisted into something meaningful.

That said, I feel like that could be enhanced by doing so in combination with having him moving around unmasked. Because if it's done right, you could really get across the "it's not the same Brian anymore" while also getting across the fact that this is the guy who once was Brian. Like, it'd be Brian's face, but he's not smiling like he usually does in flashbacks- his face is just frozen in either a deathglare or a completely blank, emotionless mode, and between that, his lack of speech, and his mannerisms and actions, everything about him should just completely contrast what he was like as Brian.

Actually, that may not be true. Remember the first thing Alex said when he unmasked Hoody in 68?

"Where did they go? Where are Jay and Tim? Wipe that stupid smile off your face."

I disagree about Decay. At the end is a coded message saying "today is your last birthday", and it's pretty clear just from the video that it was meant for Alex. The video was uploaded on April 4, Alex's birthday, a fact which Jay called attention to on Twitter.

Brian has blamed a lot of people: he's blamed Tim, he's blamed Alex, he's blamed Jay. What if Brian is the one at fault here?

For some reason Hoody and Masky began to stalk Alex early on in the series. I would say that Brian, somehow, figured something out before everyone else and just held onto that. Alex probably knows just as much as Hoody did which is why they were antagonists to each other. I think this goes a lot deeper than revenge so what the hell do, or did, they know?

No, Brock Lesner thinking he knows how to wrestle is an April Fool's joke.

I didn't mean he's incapable of smiling now, merely that he shouldn't be whenever we see him because that could be used to a great unsettling effect if done right. Of course, he could occasionally give a very rare smile, in more of a "evil-slasher-grin" way (which is what he seems to be doing in the super-distorted image we saw of his face back in Entry 68- here if anyone wants to see it again, by the way.)

So Tim probably cut out his own tryout because he was shy about showing it to the viewers. Very unlikely it was operator tampering.

OOG

Every entry thread ever: fangasms > useful discussion > User posts criticism > Arguing about how well filmed the entry was > KTsteve or other user posting a link to the entry quality thread > continued arguing about entry quality for 20~ pages

Seriously there is a thread specifically made for those who care how well made/terrible entries are. Take the discussion there. Complain about how conversation never happens there? Well maybe that should tell you how little people actually care about entry quality. This is a place to discuss what happened, in game, during entry 84.

Don't want to mention anything that was already brought up but imho the importance of Tim's audition being cut off is that immediately before the cut-off point, there is a (potentially the first) video distortion. The following clip is Alex recording outside footage, followed by (again, potentially the first) a TO appearance.

At least a handful of people have started actually using that thread again, so the amount of time wasted here has very very slightly decreased. Baby steps, I guess.

In context the cut makes sense. Immediately before the cut Alex says (paraphrased but relatively accurate) "feel free to take a few minutes to look over your part before you audition if you want." Then Tim says "okay" and begins reading, then the cut happens.

They just cut out 2 minutes of Tim reading over his part before doing the audition. In fact, it's likely that Alex simply turned the camera off until Tim was ready to audition so he didn't waste tape.
