It's the 7th, so the funding campaign should have its official launch today. This is very likely the last call for beta backers, so if you're on the fence you might want to decide quickly.

As with Kickstarter, the money isn't actually collected from you until the end of the campaign(early May), if they reach the funding goal.

I don't know about the criticisms, I think this sounds like it could be fun. If it doesn't get funded where they are on the MMORPG site, I think they should definitely take it to kickstarter. I commend their ambition and hope they succed.

They have a large community though, and they are only asking for $20.00. Maybe they will make smaller amounts available too?

I will pledge, even though I didn't play the intro ARG. I read about the final mission in Canada and it sounded great.

I'm excited to see ARGs being incorporated into other genres.

Good luck with the project.

(I can't believe I missed a Warhammer ARG. I am an expert on all things Warhammer just by watching.)

Yeah, it was the Red Admiral ARG, gave unique code for the game launch also. It went for 3 days during the PAX. Do you follow Eternal Crusade game development?

Well thank you! It's nice to hear!

Today we reached #3 most anticipated game for a couple of hours. It was exciting!

But overall, people have doubt that an ARG can 1) be stand alone product and 2) outlive it's initial release. In our case, the advertising of TSW.

One thing I wish to add for anyone interested. In our mailing list we have added an option to 'be contacted by other grassroots ARG'. So for the independent Puppet Master out there, we are trying to built a mailing list that you will be able to use to jumpstart your arg with more player. =)

I don't think we ever had a follow-up post, at least I couldn't find one using search. The kickstarter was successful, and the game did launch on Steam. In fact, Season 2 is coming soon. I just heard about this on an unrelated puzzle forum and thought people here would want to know.

-- if you buy Season 1 now (before the end of September 2015) you will also gain access to Season 2 coming out later this year.
