If it's true that the initial plan was for Tim/Masky to be TTA, then that makes sense. However, in later TTA entries, it seems as if TTA is calling Tim out as a liar, so I don't think that is the case anymore.

A way to explain away the OOG change of having Tim/Masky not be TTA in relation to the entries you referenced could be that TTA wanted Jay to find Masky, so that Masky would lead Jay to him.

The problem with this is that it would be a retcon that isn't necessary, and we've been given no indication that the story's history is being altered. Obviously Tim was no longer a part of totheark one way or the other once he stopped having his psychotic breaks, so the events and circumstances in the new season don't contradict the intent for Tim to be totheark in the first season.

There was a time when I thought a cool reveal would be if TTA was Jay. Not "Hoody is future Jay", but rather that there was a third member of TTA making the videos to whom Hoody and Masky answered and that member was a split personality of present-Jay. However, that theory is long, long, long debunked by now. I don't think we're likely to get any more TTA/Hoody members at this point, and unless/until another TTA video is uploaded and we're given good reason to believe that it's not just Hoody still alive, I'm going to stick with that, much as I'd like Seth to be involved somehow.

I still like to believe Seth will make another appearance in one way or another.

I always held on to the idea that they could've shot something else with him when they shot entry #54. It just seemed odd that if he was hard to get for a shoot that they would only use him for less then 10 seconds.

That would be cool if Seth came back. I've always wondered the OOG reasons for why he was in #54 for like 6 seconds. I'm glad he was, though, just because it was cool. Can't say the same for Sarah. I only wish those two were scattered around in entries just a bit more, even if it was for like a few seconds here and there.

It's also worth noting that way back when Jay updated his twitter whenever TTA uploaded he added that he believed TTA was a group of people given the various styles of the videos. Hoody and Masky were obvious contributors but is two people really a group?

Theoretically, Seth could've been helping Brian with TTA prior to disappearing. That could've been why he got knocked off to begin with. However, I can't think of any real evidence that could support such a claim.

What I'd really like to know, though, is how much TO footage Seth shot and if Hoody's used any of it.
