 		I also received an email which cleared up the missing step:

Since the email doesnt betray new info, I have forwarded it to FEA (and to be fair they are already monitoring the channel so it may would have seen it). This way it may look like i intend to help FEA.

I don't want to scare you Amandel, but heed their words with caution. Even outside of their time boundary you are not safe. It's a common belief that they have trained spies and assassins across all possible time boundaries, for the very purpose of preventing communications like this.

They're smart and calculated, and I'd think you naive if you did not at least doubt me and Zach. But please have faith in us. We're not the enemy, no matter how much 'evidence' they show you to convince you that we are. Stay strong, and work under the radar. Try not to use key words and phrases that they might detect, and be mindful that you're not being followed when out and about.

You asked about Zach's ordeal, and given that this may be the last time we ever speak, I will tell you what happened to him. Although, once the Tesseract close this one, if we are able to break open another time boundary channel and re-establish contact, I must beg you not to tell Zach what I've told you. His version of it is very different from the truth:

During our time working on Operation Telek, there was a leak in one of the labs, which destroyed a large part of our work. We believed that it was down to the Resistance. The security files were damaged, and computer records from that day disappeared, so our investigation yielded no immediate results. We were under pressure from MSET to get an environmental test done, so we continued work, despite knowing we had a mole in our midst. We increased security though, and nothing else got leaked. When D6 went ahead without a hitch, we knew that whoever it was, had known better than to risk leaking anymore information.

Anyway, after a good few months, the investigative team finally managed to piece together some data from the computers. The last known login for that day had been Zach. I had become quite good friends with Zach through his wife Chloe, (who I knew from my time at AstraZeneca), so naturally I fought his corner. I knew it wasn't him, but Declan called in the Service regardless. They tortured him for days on end and got nothing. How was he supposed to confess to something that he didn't do?

But they were convinced they had the right man. So, rather than look into their own security team, they figured they would get him to confess by taking extreme measures. They butchered his wife and twin boys. Right in front of his face. He tried in vain to claim responsibility to stop it, but it didn't matter. The Service are blood-hungry monsters. They knew they were going to kill Chloe and the kids the minute they brought them in; with or without a confession.

It took them another week to finally realise it wasn't Zach. Some low-life lab assistant turned out to be the culprit. She got carted off to Manx Prison without a word, and Zach had lost everything. He had been there for me when Julie died, and I wanted to be there for him, but he wouldn't let me. This next part is something I'm not particularly proud of, Amandel, but I stand by what I did:

Within FEA's Quaternary Medical Services division, we had developed an experimental procedure known as 'Memory Threading'. Basically, that meant that we were able to take out individual threads of memory from a person's brain. For want of a better phrase, we could literally erase people or events from a person's mind. I couldn't bear to see Zach in such a state, so I had him brought to me in the labs. We put him under anaesthetic and had his wife and children threaded from his mind. I told his family, friends and neighbours that it was his decision, and I had a team go round to his house and make it look like he lived alone. To this day he hasn't a clue. It wasn't my finest moment but I did what I thought was best.

He still remembered the torture though, and he was out for revenge. That's when we teamed up together and started working with the HRI. Seeing what they put Zach through, and being told what was to come next after District 6, I could no longer sit back and do nothing. It didn't take us long to discover that John was working with the Resistance, so together we formed an alliance, and set about bringing FEA down.

I only hope that you and your colleagues will be successful where we weren't. I'd like you to know that you have my utmost respect and gratitude for all your hard work. I hope we speak again in the future. Aimee

Well I might as well tell you everything seen as though this could be it for us:

Julie Jane Atkinson - it is her. I had no idea it was that time already for your Aimee. It's crazy how much you forget when you close your mind to the thought of someone.

She's not related to John (I remember asking her that myself once), in fact, she had no living family that she knew of.
When I first met her she had dreams of being a writer or an artist. Her passion for it was one of the main things I loved about her, but after a couple of years she gave up on it and became a teacher. She was so disillusioned with life by the time she left me; nothing ever worked out for her. I certainly didn't help…I could never bring myself to tell her just how much she meant to me. Maybe if I had, she'd never have left.

We'd only been together for 2 years when she went. I came home from work one day and she was gone. No note or anything. The next time I saw her was on the security feed in the FEA holding room, alongside other test subjects. I know they didn't take her from the house, so she must have got caught some time after.
We'd been careful not to be seen together, as the Service were still rounding up any 'undesirables' that they knew about. She'd been living at my place in secret, but I had round-the-clock security and there were no break-ins. If you ask me, I think she'd had enough of it all. I'm not the easiest person in the world to live with, and I know I could have been a lot better to her than I was. All that on top of living in fear over who you are; its no wonder she left.

I'd never been in love before, and I didn't even realise I was until she'd gone. I never quite realised just how happy she made me, and how miserable I in turn, made her. She was one of life's dreamers, and I crushed it out of her. I mean, don't get me wrong, we were happy for the most part, but I just didn't have the time for her. I didn't listen to her stories, or read her poetry…
Of course I have now, over and over again. It's all I have left of her now. She came alive within her words, and I was too ignorant to help her see that.

You have to tell your Aimee not to make the same mistake as I did. Tell her to make Julie happy. Tell her that she needs to show her that she loves her. At the time, I think we could have had a much better life together if only I'd been willing. Make sure I am. I shouldn't let Julie give up her dream of writing or painting. It's what she was meant to do, and if I help her nurture it maybe she will be happier. And maybe she won't leave. And she won't get sent to Manx Prison.
Between us we can save her, though I know it's a lot to ask of you (again).

If you need to know more about her, I know she had a blog back in 2014, so perhaps you can find her on there. I'm ashamed to say that I never visited the site, so I can't give you a link to it.

Julie, I can't thank you enough for being there for me through all of this, and I hope that you succeed in the challenges that are ahead. FEA is a mammoth to take down, but it isn't the only thing your future holds. Britain will change beyond recognition. Stopping FEA from killing the people won't alter the fact that your lives will change in the hands of the Tesseract.

You will need to stick together and learn new ways to fight them, but don't let the Resistance warp your minds into thinking war is the answer.

Find your own way through.

I have faith in you.

P.S. So far, my memory has been unchanged. MSET did a lot of research into parallel worlds and time lines, so in theory I don't see why that couldn't be the case here. Having said that, on the ARK, we are hidden in a bit of a grey area, time-wise, so it may be that once we are back on track, our memories of new (past) events will come flocking to us. Here's to hoping!


The last part was in response to me asking if she developed memories of us or not as we interact with 2014 Aimee.

 		aimee's been chatty! here's what i got from her, in response to my challenge about her involvement in the D6 mass killing:

That message from FEA France is without a doubt, the Tesseract. As a result, this could well be the first and only email I ever send you. It's only a matter of time before they close the channel we're using, and without being able to hack the servers at FEA, we will struggle to find the capacity to open up a new channel into your time boundary without the HRI finding out.

Now you know the Tesseract are watching you, and I've known for some time that they've been watching me and Zach. Don't think you're safe because you're out of their time zone. They're cleverer than you think; rumour has it that the first thing they did when MSET broke through the time boundaries, was train up a team of spies and assassins from outside of their time to prevent communications like ours. The Resistance were never that clever, and the HRI could never be that calculated. So, I'm afraid you're on your own. You need your wits about you. But above all, you need to trust me.

I know the drill; they'll label myself and Zach as terrorists or worse, and it'll be difficult for you to keep faith in us. I know you're dubious of me, but Zach is a good man, and he has never knowingly hurt anyone that didn't deserve it. Declan and I were the only 2 inside FEA that knew about the District 6 attack and what came after. Everything else came from MSET.


Although I'm writing back to you in the hope that you will trust me, I'm afraid I have to say that you are right in being wary of me. Those emails you quote me in are contradictory to any claim I have of innocence. And that's because I'm not innocent in this, Jane. I wouldn't have helped Zach with this information if my plan was to deceive you into thinking I am. Whilst it's true that I suggested D6 as a location, I did so in the hope that the stadium and the park would be near empty, (call me naive, but I had thought they wanted minimal civilian causalities).

They held off instead, until the busiest time possible, and planned a mass killing. I couldn't back-track even if I wanted to. It would have made them suspicious. The Resistance were known to have moles within FEA and I couldn't put myself in the frame.

I know It sounds selfish, but they wouldn't have listened to me anyway.

It's no excuse, but at the time I was a very angry person. My partner Julie (who I hadn't seen in nearly 6 months), had recently been brought into the labs as one of the final test subjects. I don't suppose you can understand how someone can become so cold, but after watching the one person you've ever loved be killed in such a horrific way, there's no telling what you'll become. I wanted nothing more than to run in there and grab her, and leave the country, just the two of us...a chance to be happy again.

But you can't run away from the Tesseract. Even if you manage to hide for a while, they won't stop; they'll just burn everything around you to the ground until they come across your body in the ashes. It was stupid to hope that we could be the ones that got away, and if I had said anything to help her, they would only have killed us both. So I let her die, and with her, went the last shred of humanity I had left.

I was frozen in a daze of grief and anger, and in that state I let D6 go ahead with my permission. And the worst of it was that I barely even flinched when the news broke, and the death toll started rising.

You see, I make a point of asking you and your companions to save the country; stop FEA. When the real truth is I just want you to stop me from becoming the monster I know I am today. When I think back now to those images on the news, and stories of the families torn apart and all those people dying agonising deaths, it's all I can do to hold down my lunch. If I was a weaker person I would have ended my life in remorse for theirs. But I know I deserve to feel this guilt; I deserve to carry the weight of their deaths across my shoulders for the rest of my life.

It wasn't until the Service arrested Zach that I finally decided enough was enough. As the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back, his ordeal was enough to force me into taking action. Perhaps it's too little too late, but at least now I'm fighting for the right side.

I wouldn't blame you for not respecting me, (I lost any respect I had for myself a long time ago). And I certainly wouldn't blame you for hating me. But it doesn't mean we can't work together to change this thing.

And let me also warn you Jane, that FEA may have been definitive in what they did, but they were merely one string to the Tesseract's bow. A company that changed the world. But that's just one company. There's so much more to come and you need to be ready for it.

Yes I did spill a drink on someone. Her name was Julie, and it was the Hay Festival. I wasn't very nice to her afterwards when she tried to talk to me but I'm trying to put that right now. (In my defence, my head was swimming with all this, and I just lost it for a moment).

I've been told how important she is going to be to me, so I'm trying my best to make it up to her!

Why do they kill the Royal Family?


What is 'Clean Britain'?


And what is the 'Tesseract?'


Having been told what you've told me, I got a little down about the whole thing and wallowed in self-pity for a few days. It's a hard pill to swallow, seeing what a monster you become in the future.


But I'm determined to change it now; and not just by sitting down and doing nothing. I want to be instrumental in making these changes happen, not just passive in staying away.


After all, if I don't join the company, what's to stop them recruiting somebody else and having them do all of this?


I need to know everything you have. I'm going to make sure none of this goes ahead.


And I'm going to damn well make sure Julie doesn't die because of me…

P.S. Why was that your last communication with me in the future?


I did my best to answer her questions. It's interesting, at the end it sounds like she's decided to actually try to find FEA and join them to change them. Yikes. Somedays you can stop the machine and somedays it just eat you.

Also, I'm wondering if Zach's wife Chloe is findable at Astrazaneca? Future Aimee mentions meeting her while working there. Maybe she's another person we can contact somehow...

And lastly, I jumped in on the comments on Julie's page. Seemed like maybe they could use some help getting together. I just hope that 2014 Aimee can be different this time...

2014 Aimee told me before that she knows Zach and Chloe:
