Is there any way to decode the text in that last link, or is it a ton of gibberish?
Coffee Beaut finding DONOTTRUSTTHEHRI in the text. Can't find the 32chars hex string (or its reverse) in any MD5 data base & WEP key is usually a 26chars repeat so that's not likely. Tried matching the hex string & also V0UnUkUgV0FUQ0hJTkcgWU9V as key with a few XOR decryptions of the base64 with no success. Am Pooped Sad

Thanks amandel! ^u^
Welp, looks like we'll have to keep trying. I have nothing at the moment. There might be a possibility it's there to throw us off.

Also, do we have an Irc room or something?

I could set up one, if no one else has already done so. Very Happy

EDIT: yea i have no idea how to make irc channels

I generally use freenode, but you can use what you're comfortable with.

Has anyone tried to decode what the other text said under the
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
we're watching you
text? I've been looking at it for a while, but I found nothing.

Edit: Important things I found about the code mentioned above:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
- no lowercase L
- no O
- no I
- 1 is only next to a 81 at all times (so it's 181 repeated 8 times)
- 0 appears 8 times

So, I'm working on iGadgets, (don't hate, my old roommate stole the PS to my laptop)

So could you tell me where the

text is? I missed that somewhere.[/quote]

So I noticed the images on the edges of 03_05, so I took all the characters from just the imaged areas, as if folding it like a mad magazine page...

I compiled it in a pastebin here:

So, I'm not sure if this was a lurker or not, but a user named "tesseract935" joined the IRC then left after saying hello. Was this one of you guys? If it is one of you/a lurker, my apologies. We're just curious.

That would be me. I logged in to check it out but was distracted when my tea was put on the table!

I'll have another look now Very Happy

The username was what my computer suggested to me - I'll change to one you'll recognise this time.

Just noticed that Julie has mentioned her email in a comment on her blog

http://juliejaneatkinson.wordpress.com/2014/06/01/speaking-of-the-hay/#comments

Now debating what on earth I can say to her.

Well, I've emailed Julie, let's see what she does.

Julie emailed me back.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I knew I was right to be dubious about going online.

This is exactly the kind of rubbish I was worried about.

Any fool can see that I've recently met someone by reading my blog, though kudos at actually trying to guess a name. Since I only know her as 'A' so far, I guess you thought you'd look more knowledgeable by giving her a name...

I don't want to play your games...

Try someone else.

J

I did a bit more digging: the repeated 181 string you saw is actually part of a longer 32 digit (i.e. 16 byte) hex string, which is repeated 8 times:

aeaa985976b8f52b6fe046de6a431817

Interestingly it only appears in the second and third lines of "base64" in the source code. It looks like it could be an MD5 hash but I've had no luck with the usual decoders. Nor does it simply translate into ASCII.

I was afraid that was the response we might get from her. Oh well, I'm still waiting or a reply from 2014 Zach so that could give us something.
