Beaut email Russell. Also, it gives a hint to the next count-down page. Your two new page names look possibly like the first 8bits of an MD5 hash.

Lol solved by the back door!

Also just noticed that the image on page /18/ has been changed with some of the spelling corrected so looks like that was indeed a red herring time to wait another week Crying or Very sad

Got an email from future Aimee. It may have given me a clue to convince present Aimee. I sent present Aimee a message just now. Hopefully the information I was given and shared will help convince her rather than scare her away. It was hecka personal and intense. We'll see...

Nice catch Am and Arthur. My Internet was borked last night so I'm just catching up Sad

Also booo on wait times Wink

Zac, you could try mentioning OlympiAD to Aimee(2014) in your fake LinkdIn correspondence. I would do it myself, but I think she's wary of Karl The Hacker. Still, I guess it may convince her.

ETA: A while back I asked Zach for some help with convincing Aimee(2014), and this is the response I got (as I said I'm just catching up)

Hi Karl,

It may be tricky as in your timeline FEA Global won't exist until late 2015.

Knowing her, I imagine she hasn't given you the time of day!

I'll have a word with her and see if she can think of anything that may help convince her past self.

As for the 'shipment of 18', it's referring to inmates of Manx Prison. Exactly what went on there I don't know, but when the Seven Sisters decided the inmates had 'served their purpose'; they were sent to us for medical testing.

They didn't even look human when we got them. They just seemed like empty shells. I remember Aimee coming to me in tears after we received one batch saying that her ex-girlfriend had just been sent in. That's the only time I've seen her cry.

It may be wise to contact your Aimee once FEA Global has been set up.

Other than that, I can't really suggest anything else.

Take care,

Zach

Contact her once FEA has been set up? In late 2015? How long will this game run? Not that I'm complaining of course. Also, ex-girlfriend might be some useful leverage.

I would ask you not to try to leverage her with the ex-girlfriend. That piece of information is sensitive to her and is what I emailed her about. I told her I wouldn't tell anyone else about it, and although I didn't tell you, I wouldn't want her to get the wrong idea. Future Aimee told me some hard things that end up happening with the girlfriend because of the seven sisters and FEA.

Sorry, julieaurora, you're too late because I've already told future Aimee that I'm heartbroken about what happened to her girlfriend. Actually, it's customary to share our info from the IGs here at uF so it would be super if you posted your email from future Aimee about those "hard things" etc..

And props to Russell and to arthurdent not only for the MD5 work but also for using the word "concatenated" about a cipher....that made me *happy dance* Very Happy

Too true, Russell. Laughing Yet I'll be biting my fingernails in frustration and anticipation well before that count-down clock reaches 00:00:00 etc.

You should come sit in some of my lessons Am. I use the word "concatenated" all the time. Also "iteration", "increment" and "decrement". You'd love it.

ETA: So a thought just struck me. Well it didn't strike me really I've been mulling it for a while. Whenever we tell ANYTHING to Aimee(2014), FutureAimee should have some sort of vestigial memory of that encounter (it's one of the reasons I tell Aimee(2014) to save my emails even though she thinks I'm crazy). So, at present, because FutureAimee is still in the horrible place, we can assume that our efforts to stop her joining FEA are unsuccessful. But there MUST be times when she's at least wavered on the edge. So perhaps FutureAimee could give us some insight into which methods were more successful than others?

Thunder, your idea gave me another one. Have 2014Aimee choose something to remember in association with a word and not tell anyone. We then tell future Aimee that word, and she tells us the association. Voila, something we know that no one should be able to know.

2014aimee said she would listen to me if I knew something no one else could possibly know or find out, even a hacker.

Edit: thanks for the clarification Russel. I did indeed mean thunder... Too much reading of posts and posting too quickly.

That's a damn fine idea.

Here are the emails I got from Aimee. First from future Aimee:

Quote:
Hi Julie,

You never mentioned your name in your previous email.

I had a girlfriend called Julie. Just seeing the name brings back memories of her.
You try and block them out but somehow they always find a way of coming back…

Once the Tesseract started their 'Clean Britain' campaign I never saw her again. It
was the same with anyone else who didn't fit in with their 'perfect ideal' (so
basically anyone who wasn't white, straight or Church of England). The worst part
was all of them were sent to Manx Prison and inevitably found their way through the
doors of the FEA Testing Labs.

For the sake of my job I had to keep my private life a secret. Although looking back
on it, I'd sooner have died with her than have gone on to do the things I did at
FEA.

Hindsight truly is a wonderful thing, isn't it?

Aimee

And then when i wrote about these things to 2014 Aimee, i got this:

Quote:
Hi Julie,

I can't even begin to try to understand all this. I tend to be quite open-minded, but this is taking some effort for me to get around.

What is 'Tesseract'? And what is 'Manx Prison'? I can only think this has something to do with the Isle of Man; but there's only one prison there, and it has nothing to do with Final Solution-style 'problem solving' as far as anyone's aware.

Also, how did you find out about my sexual preference? Not even my parents know, let alone anyone else. And I've invested so much time in my career I don't really 'date', so I haven't met anyone called Julie. Besides you, anyway.

However farfetched this sounds, it can't be coincidence that you're the third person to contact me about this. I want to believe you Julie, but given the nature of my position, a quick Internet search will tell you almost everything you need to know. Failing that, Karl could easily have put a key logger on my computer to find out everything else. I'm not suggesting he would, but you all seem to know an awful lot about me. And he is a hacker after all…

Tell me something else; something nobody knows. Something a hacker couldn't find out.

Then I'll hear you out.

I have now emailed 2014 Aimee with my suggestion of picking a pair of words or asking for a question from her life that no one else could possibly know. Then we can ask future Aimee and hopefully have an in with 2014 Aimee.

Hope your clever idea pans out, Julieaurora! The latest page:http://donottrustthetesseract.co.uk/feauk/
How the page was found
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The pleiades page read "ESTIMATED TIME TO COMPLETION: 102:101:97:117:107 . That decodes from decimal to text as "feauk"

EDIT: To Delete some dupes Rusell has done.
