I sent out a few messages and got some great replies. I thought I might share them here with you.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

I make up something about wanting a drug to forget a girl... His reply pretty much confirms my suspensions that there is some mind control work being done.

Keith - No mind drugs. Nope. No sir.

I pressed Emily to see where Trishphere had started. I pretty much got a non answer.

Emily - As far as I know, Trisphere's always been here.

Here is what I find to be the most fascinating. I was pressing Christian about Dennis and videos. After the I don't know who you are talking about messages. I pressed him to see about new videos. This could be interesting. I am thinking we should see a new video film shortly.

Christian - I'm working on the next video film.

I have also been trying to find information about all those songs to come up with one connection. I have yet to find anything obvious. Still working on it though.

Good stuff, moriarty. Looking forward to that.

It also looks like we'll have a much-needed nudge in the right direction appear in the Google Drive folders soon if the new post on the message board from the 'Copier Repair Employee' is anything to go by.

3. Maybe somebody else has received important information via the Trisphere messaging system but hasn't been able to post here yet -- for instance, you received the information needed to work out Keith's birth year, whereas I was given the month and day details. Without working together we wouldn't have got this far, so maybe we're missing some info from another player?

I think you could definitely be right. I think that I've basically posted all the messages I've gotten to this board already, but it might be a good idea for everyone to read through their messages again and see if they missed something regarding Keith's first job.

EDIT: Just saw a new thing on the Google Drive: importantimage.png in Keith's media folder. It looks like it's just a black rectangle, but I'll look into it.
EDIT 2: Here's what I got after brightening and raising the contrast. Maybe someone can do a better job of it. What is this? A raisin?

I've got much the same as you, albeit a bit lighter (no skill on my part, purely thanks to Photoshop's auto colour correct). Could well be a raisin but I'm not sure. The criss-cross markings in the background are interesting too.

Some of the criss-cross markings look like letters, and there's a few that look suspiciously like a person..

Sorry, I've been lurking here and it's probably good to show myself now!

It kind of looks like some kind of egg sac to me, maybe filled with... worms? Not sure.

If it is a raisin it could potentially be a nod towards California, which could be a clue as to where the laxative company is/was based.

Or it could be something that's supposed to be related to the lyrics. Or it could be something else entirely!

EDIT: Hang on. Prunes! Maybe we've been looking at the laxative thing too literally and we're looking for a company that produced natural laxatives.

That could actually be what it is as well, a literal "this is your brain on drugs" image.

Hm, I think it really looks like a prune, actually. But I'm not really sure what the significance of that is. Or why it's an "important image."

Any chance the background could be another barcode?

And any idea why it's a .png file instead of a .jpg? Not that it necessarily means anything.

My thinking was that prunes / prune juice are often taken as laxatives. Maybe we're looking for a dried fruit processing company or similar for Keith's first job?

Could be! Though I keep feeling that the answer should be right in front of us. What are we not getting?

I've had a reply from Keith that's dripping with sarcasm, possibly indicating that we are indeed over-thinking things and missing something obvious:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I pushed for more information on laxatives and whether a natural solution is better than medication. His reply:

If by "blocked up" you mean severely constipated, some information is available. http://bit.ly/1g4AGTn

I know we're supposed to be bringing him down and everything but I do like the cut of this guy's jib.

Here's the (auto contrast corrected) newest picture in Keith's media folder, alsoimportantimage.jpg.

Edit: They're dates! Just did a reverse image search. As in this kind of date: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Date_palm

Edit 2: Actually, they may be, more specifically, medjool dates, which are often cultivated in "southern California, Arizona and southern Florida" when they are grown in America.

Nicely done, hopefully this can help us kick on. I've found a page on Wikipedia that lists companies that filed for bankruptcy in 2011:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Companies_that_have_filed_for_bankruptcy_in_the_United_States

I'll try and work through this and see if there's anything that leaps out as a good candidate.

EDIT: Whoops, that's actually the list of all companies that have filed for Chapter 11. You can filter it by date, though. I can't see anything obvious for 2011 but will take a look at the years around then.
