Oh god....Now THIS is a threat to us. If this is a tumblr "movement" this is going to cause the most problems. Suddenly it will be "pro-slenderman" vs. "anti-slenderman" and boom there's a conflict created out of something that shouldn't have been brought to the point of a movement for awareness of creative rights.

God damnit tumblr. This is why I don't have one.

THAC said they would upload the next Entry when all this blows over, if this kind of stuff kick things off we'll be looking at a winter upload for Entry #86 at the earliest.

They said they were pushing it back a little bit, and then emphasized just a little bit like 3 times, they're not waiting til the fucking winter.

If both these campaigns keep going (both the 4chan one and the tumblr) people are going to identify the operator symbol with this incident and not for the mythos or MH. If the screening commission feel that more incidents like this will occur with more Slenderman-related material the Operator movie could get pulled entirely. This is not an advertisement, if anything it's jinxing the movie before it's released.

Let me clear up what I said. As I said above, if this "It's creativity, not reality" and troll letter campaigns reach the media then we haven't even seen the eye of the storm yet. So far the media has been relatively fair and not called out the fandom/verse as the bad guys. The aforementioned movements being made by both 4chan and tumblr are exactly what the media need to demonize us. While I know the tumblr movement has good intentions it's not going to help anyone in the long run, along with some fucking idiots on the slenderverse fandom FB wanting to contact the family and give them their sympathies.
If the news agencies get a hold of these then the story can spike tenfold, not only putting pressure on THAC to delay Entry #86 further but it could have major implications on the series as TO symbol is being used in both the 4chan and tumblr movement. People aren't going to believe the troll letters came from Anonymous. It'd be much easier to assume it came from some crazed Slenderman fanatics.

When I said winter I meant that if things were to get worse than there's no way we'd see Entry #86 soon.

But seriously, do we need people to start pointing out to kids and adults the difference between fiction and reality to stop stuff like this from happening?

I'm wondering if we should email the Waukesha police department in order to warn them of 4chan's plan. It might succeed in stopping the letters from ever being read by the family, or at least from reaching the media.
