Alright...two questions:

1. Why are you browsing 4shit Cyan? It was already bad years ago and then when the whole anonymous thing came through it pretty much died in terms of any decency or any actual random humor. If you want a good chan go to 420chan. I'm NOT ADVERTISING just saying that there's plenty of other good chans out there and 420 is one of them.

2. Why are you all surprised that people are indecent on a chan? The thread 404'd by now so I have no idea what it actually said, but I can guess. That's the kind of thing you find on /b/ boards (especially 4shit), insensitive neckbeards getting giggles out of other peoples misery. If you ever see something along the lines of #chan and you don't want to be offended you probably shouldn't click the link. Just my 2 cents.

Tbh I don't browse 4chan much anymore with the exception of /x/ and /mu/. I used to a surf /b/ few years ago but left due to the overwhelming amount of <Cheese> being posted. I was on lunch earlier, got bored and wanted to see how much it dipped. If it's that big of a deal I won't bring it up again. I didn't part take in that operation nor do I promote it, but it was related.

Lol I wasn't judging you Cyan I was just curious why you were on 4chans /b/, and now I know xD As long as you're not a good ol' fashioned /b/tard who f5s that shit all day then there's nothing wrong with popping in to laugh at how sad it has gotten. But for future reference linking 4chan threads isn't the best idea because they 404 within hours so I still have no idea what it was. What I can get from your post is that it was some sort of "operation" (those stopped being real after the Scientology bullshit) that wouldn't have gotten off the ground anyway so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just let the neckbeards laugh at other people on the internet and then cry themselves to sleep it's much easier that way.

Nah, 4chan doesn't make the news anymore SignerJ, the biggest a story from /b/ would get to in national news is Fox attempting to demonize Anonymous once again although no one cares about Anonymous anymore so even that's not very likely.

well....it's there, the downside of Troy, Joeseph and Tim creating tumblrs is that they're bombarded with it regularly. Like a lot.

We won't know if they succeeded until it hits the news. Until then, I think that we should not give them the satisfaction of attention. And if the story never breaks, even better.

Oh god....Now THIS is a threat to us. If this is a tumblr "movement" this is going to cause the most problems. Suddenly it will be "pro-slenderman" vs. "anti-slenderman" and boom there's a conflict created out of something that shouldn't have been brought to the point of a movement for awareness of creative rights.

Sounds like a bad idea anyway - independently of the "is it a slenderman symbol or a MH symbol" argument. I don't know if folks just don't realize how symbolism in the public sphere works, but most people are NOT likely to intuit that displaying "slenderman" symbols is supposed to represent support for the victim in this case.
