Exactly. It's like a golden rule in horror: if one of the main characters declares that everyone is safe, the only certainty is that everyone is NOT safe. Prepare for finale, incoming.

I think the whole point of "Everything is Fine" is to illustrate that everything is not fine, Tim's just cutting his ties and moving on.

Personally, I can live with this as the finale. Nobody finds out what the Operator is, nobody is fully sure if it's going to come back or not. We're in the same boots as Tim is, and that fits a story like this.

Something just occurred to me. When Tim and Jessica are talking, and the subject of side effects comes up, she says specifically that she's experiencing the ones Tim told her about -not the doctor or pharmacy. And he warns her that they don't go away. I now suspect that the 'side effects' he mentioned included hallucinations. So if she were to see something unusual or impossible, like, say, a person that doesn't quite look like a person in the distance, she would just ignore it and not react. And as long as she keeps doing that and taking her meds, she should be alright.

Huh... excellent point. But-... uuh. Damn you, destroyed my headcanon. =|

It's still fun to think if this happened before #86. Only problem though is the fact that he leaves the place at the end.

Hey, has it been explained how Tim got his mask back?

Last time we saw it, Hoody dropped it in Tim's face and he rejected putting it on. Then he left it and ran away.

How did it get in his bag?

And why is Tim wearing the same clothes as he is in 64/5 and 83?

This entry is just wrong all over (in a good way). The real answers have been expertly buried in all these entries.

If there's really no final confrontation with The Slender Man, however futile it'd be, I'm gonna be really bummed. The Slender Man is the catalyst for the whole series, it's why most of us I'm sure even watched MH in the first place.

He's been such a minor character in Season 3, he needs a memorable farewell. I still maintain he should have appeared behind Jessica, prompting Tim's exit as a sign that things will never be safe.

Thing is the Operator isn't really a character, it's more of an unstoppable force of nature. Tim's rationale, and I think within the lore he's meant to have been right about this, is that there is no way to stop the thing, so the best course of action is accepting what cannot be changed and learning to live with it. Alex wasn't capable of doing that. To borrow a quote from Wilfred, which was said in reference to dealing with the paranormal and uncertain, "Some people can't handle Vegas."

Whatever you want to call it, I agree that it was hugely important in the 1st 2 seasons, then was Demoted to Extra for the 3rd, & never really got a proper sendoff. And I'm not talking about a "showdown," which is the terminology that a lot of people seem to use.

So what? Ideas that come to me despite my blinding headache are another trip to the Operatorverse or a clip that elaborates on one of its previous appearances.

Well, it doesn't make much sense that Hoody got the mask in the first place. I think the most logical thing is that Hoody made another one, and Tim had his all along (can't be that hard to do - buy a blank one and draw on it with a black marker). Of course, that brings up the question of how Hoody would buy things in general if he's been living in shacks for eight years, but I guess we can just ignore that, since realistically he also wouldn't have food and water, or editing facilities for his meticulous threatening youtube videos. I'm willing to suspend disbelief on this since he's such an all round mysterious dude.

Have you never worn the same clothes a few times in the space of a year and a half?

Off topic, but if anyone wants to marathon the series now that it's finished, I've made a playlist that includes TTA.

Is it special? Nope. Its all on youtube and I havent done anything that would result in views going to me instead of them, and I've given them credit.

You can find it Here Smile

Sirens, Jessica, pills, disruptions, cough, everything's fine, etc....
Sometimes I think they do it on purpose to let almost every theory to be possible. But probably only one is right.

I think people are looking too far into that "Jessica looks at something above and behind Tim" thing. That could've just been her looking around for help or whatever.

But then again, that scene is so damn ambiguous that I don't blame you guys for thinking she saw the Operator.

But come on man, the look in her eyes is of dread and the distortion (while it could be just from Tim being sick) just cements the presence of TO to me.

The biggest hole in my theory is that if TO took Jessica that doesn't explain the sirens heard afterwards. It would appear that Tim is responsible for doing whatever happened to her. I can't read people very well but I see a but of guilt on his face.

EDIT: I think the most crucial thing about this is how Tim edited this. Someone said earlier that MH was all about Tim, which I strongly disagree with. The Marble Hornets youtube was set up by Jay, as was the twitter. The pages were set up to document Jay's progress in his investigation. Tim didn't need to tell us where he was going or what happened. Uploading his conversation with Jessica would only damage the trust we had for him. One could argue that he did it as a way of clearing his name before he killed himself but I think he did it for Jay. I think he wanted to give Jay closure on Jessica through the youtube page. Jay was doing this for Jessica, not Tim. It wouldn't be right if Tim made the account all about himself. If you need more proof look at the way the Entry is filmed in the car, just like introduction. It was in homage to Jay.

And as for the people saying this came before #86, just look before he takes out the mask, his clothes from #87 were shown on purpose, and he would have been wearing them if it was before #86.

Thoughts on the Ark: the Ark was something Brian as Hoody felt was important. I don't think it was death, or Alex, or revenge, or anything abstract like that. Brian's death in 83 was never meant to happen; it wasn't Brian's overcomplex suicide plan, it was just his luck finally running out on him. And with Brian dead, there is now no way we can find out what the Ark was. The riddle loses its answer when the riddle-maker dies.
