He's been here a while. He's not a troll, just... very angry a lot of the time.

I find it really funny how you make a claim, a very sketchy one at that, then get angry when someone asks you to simply back it up. (Spoonfeeding? what is this, 4chan? It's a open forum for debating and discussing, c'mon now.)

The hyperbole and pointless soapbox was funny though, good job on that.

I find it disgusting someone so rude and elitist is allowed to consistently act this way with no mods telling him to chill out.

Basically everyone else knows when someone here is being an uncool loser and embarrassing themselves. I don't think we need moderation for something so, really, unimportant. I just wish page long conversations of the stuff didn't happen.

I never really did understand how moderation on this site works. Rage thread dissolves into personal attacks? Better close it & forbid making another. Someone does that time & time again? No need to say anything.

He meant that it would be a readily apparent, obvious ending. Which this entry was.

If I ignore the cut off in the middle of a huge coughing fit with distortion then it is a decent ending. But with that odd cut off I'm left feeling kind of confused.

I think someone mentioned that it seems like they intentionally tried to leave it so open that you could believe whatever you want. I know what I'm more inclined to think happened, but there's so much evidence that something else may have happened that I can't really pick a theory and it is kind of unsatisfactory

That me makes no sense to me...why would TO actively help someone that is trying to abolish it?

Possibly because it a imply knew that Alex wasn't going to succeed in his goals but allowed him to kill as it served its needs? Clearly whatever purpose Alex served came to an end as he didn't rescue him from Tim's wrath.

TO helped Alex out because he was doing what it wanted, regardless of what Alex himself believed. Tim even pointed that out to him in #86.

Last post I'm going to make on this, but these are some interesting points.

If someone's causing such a ruckus in a way that everyone, or at least a large amount of posters find rude or downright assholish, then why isn't anything done to make sure they don't disrupt future threads with their lack of control on their emotions or vulgar mouth?

Rolling Eyes

I just find it annoying, I'll refrain from bringing it up past this.

It's not even that which bothers me so much as the ambiguity. I hate having insults hurled at me & not knowing if I'll get in trouble for telling the person to go fornicate with a rake.

Yes, off topic, I know. I'm mainly clarifying that these are my general observations so nobody thinks I'm asking for the head of Twistedpuppet, or anything.

I was on here yesterday and soooo many people were pissed that they hadn't resolved the why of the operator, and I couldn't help but feel they'd missed the point.
I like to think of the Operator and the larger Slenderman character in general, as akin to a force of nature. Asking what his goals are is like asking what goal the rocks in an avalanche had in falling down the mountain or what motivation the rain had for soaking your shirt. It's something that just happens, if there is motivation for it, we'll never understand it. We can find bits and pieces over time explaining the effects, maybe even the generalities of a cause, but asking for motivation is applying human features to something that is anything but. Just thought I'd throw that in.

Ahhhh....it had to happen just one more time before the end, didn't it? I still wish the Pupmaster of Twisty Puppets could have found himself in an argument with that one inconsiderate Tribe Twelve fanboy Bartok at some point. The utter shitstorm would've been the most hilarious thing to ever come out of this site.

Moving on, I'm still not convinced that this is the final entry, but Trosephim apparently confirmed it according to a couple of random people on Tumblr, so I'll play along for now.

As an ending, 87 could work I suppose. I don't know why they felt the need to cut the footage when Tim entered his coughing fit, though. Alex was clearly wrong about the "source" and "infection" nonsense, and Tim knew it. There's no way in hell he killed Jessica. Why leave it ambiguous? I also wish there was one final twist at the end, like someone from ToTheArk still being alive or something along those lines. The confirmation that Alex was killing everyone as a husk to "feed" the Operator was cool, but it wasn't too mind-fucking or surprising, I guess? Jessica being rescued and kept safe by Brian and Tim wasn't too much of a twist, either, as TTA/Brian heavily hinted she was still alive with "She's still out there."

Just my two cents. Good conclusion, but I wish we could have gotten more development on certain things, such as TTA and the Ark, Alex's story about people being tortured and "stretched" in season 2 (I'd think this was an "origin story" for the Operator, but this theory was apparently shot down by Trosephim OOG at some point. Why even have Alex say it, then?), a BIT more insight in regards to the Operator and its abilities (why did it only appear at certain times? Why didn't it seem to be able to kill anyone on its own?), etc.

Good series; I'm proud I followed it, and I can't wait for the movie. Here's hoping Trosephim's next effort is just as creepy and awesome.

Exactly. This hasn't been standard horror all along; I don't know why people expect a standard horror ending.

This isn't about how you solve a problem like The Operator or where it comes from. It's about, how do you react when The Operator enters your life? Do you, like Alex, destroy everyone you know in an effort to "cure" it? Do you make a futile attempt to rescue people from it, like Jay? Do you crumple before it, gaining insight but losing yourself, like Brian? Or do you understand that you, in all your human limitations, can't possibly win all by yourself and acknowledge it without choosing any of the other answers?

I think that the operator is a being or symbol of violence and its primary objective is to collect bodies. Thus alex killing all carriers, even if it was a legit thing to do, is fine to TO because it still produces bodies: that's why it helped Alex do it. Tim has dealt with it all his life and can cope as seen when he ignores it in one of the entries, but as violence becomes necessary it comes stronger. Still, why did TO start infecting the MH crew and not everyone Tim ever met? Cameras possibly?

My understanding is that it was a lie to keep jay intrigued enough to follow him. Ive heard (not sure but i've heard) that they confirmed at a Q&A it was a lie.

We might find out why rain is motivated to get you wet and why rocks fall down cliffs if we keep up with Craig Digsby and his Nature Breaks
