Just a suggestion, you should put Masky as dead after the last entry cause Tim throws the Mask away.

Hmm, good point, I hadn't actually thought about what to write for Masky. I suppose "Unknown" is the safest option, given that Tim could in principle return to a feral state, even without the mask.

Looks great! But why not make it easier on yourself and just post the infographic on this thread?

Sounds fantastic, and will be an essential add after being an MH backer!

My only question is, what are the dimensions of this poster? It's quite large, and would need to be somewhat big to make every sentence readable. Perhaps it could be split into different posters per season? Also, will you post internationally?! I'm not American!

A few reasons: There's no print service on Earth that would print a poster 20 times taller than it is wide. If they did, at 300dpi it would be nearly 3m tall, which is taller than most rooms. The purpose of the infographic was to help us keep track of things as they evolved and oto be scrolled on screen, whereas the purpose of the poster is to be browsable on paper (hence the wider dimensions.) Finally I enjoy the challenge and I want to learn some new skills. It's been nearly a decade since I last did some desktop publishing and I've only ever made academic posters. Making a poster like this a nice change. Of course people are free to download and print off the infographics from the other thread if they want to.

Email noted! Once it's finalised I'll let you know.

Hey, I'm currently aiming for an A1 poster (I give the details of the size/cost further up in the thread.) Going for 300dpi, this should be readable. The reason for not making multiple posters is because of cost. Most of the people who watch the series are quite young so I want to make the posters affordable to everyone.

I probably won't be handling the distribution of posters myself. Instead I'll try to set up a service on Cafepress or Zazzle so that people can order their own posters from there. I currently live in Belgium, so organising shipping to the rest of the world would be a pain for everyone- better to let the local poster printers deal with that instead.

The dimensions there would be something like 24" x 20" ($16.15) for a large poster, and 16" x 12" ($10.40) for a small poster.

Oh, I didn't notice this. I'm gonna go for it.

Hello hello! Here are the updared timeline graphics for the poster. Higher res images for each scene, each with its own thumbnail. New high res icons. Consistent naming of locations. Many minor errors corrected. Algorithms tweaked. It's looking a lot better than it did this time last week.

If anyone has the time to check these for errors I'd be super grateful!

Okay, after a couple of weeks of silence (very busy at work) here's a first "final" draft! I still haven't heard back from Troy yet, and I also don't want someone to just take this poster and sell it for profit, so for now it has a watermark on it. The full res image (600dpi) can be found on dropbox. link. Attached is a thumbnail at about 10% the final size (1% the area.)

As usual, feedback greatly appreciated. If you spot any errors please let me know. Once I get the word from Troy I'm ready to share this.

Just a suggestion, but maybe add some space between each scene for us to make our own notes and observations, I mean if its not too hard and wouldn't mess too much up, but like I said, its just a suggestion.

EDIT: Maybe also add a key or something to make it easier to understand whats going on with it because it is a lot to process and work through and you should change the "marblehornetsdvd.com" to "thac.tv/store"

Draft looks fantastic, I live in the UK, any idea if it could ship over here? (if so any idea on P&P costs?)

Re: white space, I can't really add more space, but I can make the background colours lighter so that you can use the other columns for notes. Changing the url to thac.tv/store is very easy, thanks! I'll see if I can put the key back in, which should in principle be easy enough, but will probably take quite a lot of tweaking to get it just right.

In other news, I got a draft printed off and it turns out that my calculations were off and the smallest text is about 5 times smaller than it should be. Oops! I'll see if I can go back to the old 3 column style (CollegeTown, Rosswood, Elsewhere) and move things around to make better use of the space.

The plan for distribution is listed earlier in the thread- this poster uses images which are copyright of Trosephim and they haven't got back to me about permission to use these images yet. So for the moment I won't be selling these posters, and instead I'll provide the high res images so people can print them off at Zazzle or Cafepress or wherever. If that's too probematic then I can print and distribute them at cost price. Expect around $25/20 GBP for that option- printing is not cheap!

I'll be back with more details as soon as I've fixed things up. Apologies that this is taking such a long time, editing is a very slow process, although work is a lot quieter now than it was two weeks ago.
