Is this the begining of the end for Slender vlogs? Marble Hornets is over with. the media has demonized him and Slender the Arrival is selling for 50% off on steam. Is this the end of Slenderman?
I know we still get a movie but in the grand scheme of things I think Slenderman may be on his way out.

Just never really was that entranced with the character myself, except for Marble Hornets, EMH until this season, and a couple of the earliest posts about him (there's one photoshopped image claiming to show a possible Slendy appearance in Scandinavia on what appears to be a rural road near a church that freaks me out to this day).

Can't speak for the rest of the OP's post, but I really wouldn't judge The Arrival's price/sales relative to the mythos given that EVERYTHING goes on steep sales sporadically on Steam, especially during the Summer Sale...

Of course it's not the beginning of the end. It's creativity. Plus, there's still the rest of the Big Three to watch.

Face the facts, man, the Steam sale was the final nail in his elongated coffin.

Honestly, I think the sale is for people who didn't have enough money to buy it. Anyway, it's Steam. What do you expect?

There are other series out there that are good. It will be interesting to see if people migrate out from MH and give them a chance.
Or not........
Slender The Arrival is coming out on Sony and Microsoft systems. For someone like me who can't run them on their PC it could boost sales. I know I have been waiting for it.

You people are overestimating Geneaux's capacity to be serious...

Normally this is where I would clarify and say I was being serious about everything except the steam sale but if this series has taught me anything it's that it's better to be vague and let people argue about what I meant.

^First of all, that is exactly the correct moral to take from Marble Hornets.
Second of all, it's the end of the end. There's the movie and we'll all go see that. Maybe some other people will. People might talk about it for a week. Everyman HYBRID is still going on??? Actually not clear to me. Even if it, I don't think it's as popular as it used to be. Nor is Tribe Twelve, which barely ever updates anymore.
Dark Harvest??? I stopped watching after they shot the cultists and Chris cried. MLAndersen is over. The nail polish one is still kinda cool but the fanbase is pretty small. Look, the fandom will continue in some form, fandoms aren't really killable because they're an idea not an animal. But yeah it's about as dead as it can get, or will be, p soon.

I mean I thought slender man was cool/scary for like the summer and fall of 2009. After that, let's be honest, it began to just become a stupid meme. I probably thought he was scary back then because of the novelty, and don't find him scary now because it's been 5 years of the same. exact. shtick. Marble Hornets is nice but not really because of the slender man.

I said Geneaux, not Gennerx. (I had forgotten who started this topic, to be honest, otherwise I probably would have been more careful to avoid confusion.) I know you were being serious.

And when it comes to vlogs, Im not sure. Maybe some people will see this as an opportunity, because MH people may want more.
