Hmm, according to Omniglot, it's the Cherokee syllabry (http://www.omniglot.com/writing/cherokee.htm)

Question is, is the text actually Cherokee, or is it just being used as a simple substitute cypher?

The sender of the mypuppy video was Grendelannon. The member list shows that Grendelannon joined the Grendel Supporters Group on April 16th. The professor uses his own name when he sends mail to the group. Just another small piece that could be pointing to the boys at Ideltech being responsible for Krystal's disappearance.
