Had an interesting little chat with Melody earlier:

Quote:
amboymelody: Are you still there? I turned this on then went to go eat dinner....
vision42x23: Still here, more or less. Howsit going?
amboymelody: OK youre fromt he Research group?
vision42x23: Yup.
amboymelody: How are you!
vision42x23: Doing ok, for the most part. Chatting with people, websurfing...
vision42x23: Any word from Clarence?
amboymelody: Not yet, he's still in Eugene
vision42x23: Ah, ok.
vision42x23: Sounds like if there's anyone who can help with that group of native americans, it's him.
amboymelody: I'm going to owe him a bit of money when he comes back - he said the people I came across might be more talkative if given a welcome gift
vision42x23: Ahh, that makes sense.
amboymelody: I'm hoping he can at least find out when Virginia Roddigton's accident happened.
vision42x23: That would be helpful.
vision42x23: Were you able to find anything else out, in the meantime?
amboymelody: I checked to see if there was anything in the last year or so... but came up empty for accidents listed in the local news
vision42x23: Wierd...
vision42x23: You'd think something like that would at least end up in the local paper...
amboymelody: nothing in the last 12 to 18 months
amboymelody: I still have a lot to go through
vision42x23: I hear ya.
vision42x23: Lotsa wierd things about this... And to think all I was doing was applying for a job... heh, such is life...
amboymelody: Yes, I am very surprised the police there don't seem to care much for people
vision42x23: Hmm, interesting... They've been that unhelpful?
amboymelody: Well, you would have thought they would have at least mentioned that the car was already investigated and when
vision42x23: Strange...
vision42x23: Kinda like you've stepped into something out of Push, Nevada or the X-Files...
vision42x23: Then again, this whole thing with Krystal missing and all is already pretty out there...
amboymelody: Push? Oh you mean that treasure hunt show
vision42x23: Yup, that one.
amboymelody: I may have to go further back than 2 years. I hope Clarence finds out something useful
vision42x23: Same here.
amboymelody: Have you seen Dr. Roddington's blog?
vision42x23: Yes, I have.
amboymelody: There is an interesting little thing hidden in it
vision42x23: Really? Where at?
amboymelody: let me look at the notes I made
vision42x23: Ok
amboymelody: once I figured out the missing part was the notes, and found the right extention and I had to try it twice, my Uncle rteminded me that some sites are case sensetive especially with things like htm, I found something else
vision42x23: Hmm...
vision42x23: What did you find?
amboymelody: He's Dangerous.
vision42x23: That I've figured out.
amboymelody: Well, morning comes early around here, I work the breakfast shift at the Cafe
amboymelody: It was nice talking with you Raasputin
amboymelody: oops
amboymelody: Rasputin
vision42x23: Nice to chat with you as well.
vision42x23: good luck with your investigation.
amboymelody: Thank you, if you hear anything, I'd be interested in learning what your researches turn up.
vision42x23: I'll be sure to let ya know.
amboymelody: Thank you
vision42x23: Take care!

Huh, she mentions something hidden on The Prof's blog, but seems a bit reluctant giving specific info about it... Anyone here know what she was getting at?

Do you suppose she mixed up the blog and the bluelouboyle site, and is referring to "notes" in the midi?

It's gotta be something like that. I know that I clearly stated in one of my posts in my attempt to figure out the blb site was that I wasn't capitalizing anything. Too many freaking combinations to try at the time when I wasn't even sure I was on the right track. I'll go and look back over what Melody said when I get to work in the morning and I'll look over my original list of things tried to see if I can do anything with them. Maybe I'll get lucky Smile

There are quite a few errors in his blog. The errors are in bold.

Quote:
I've come into Sin City finally and I'm looking to set up shop. A router for the phone company should do nicely for the show. I hope to get it all set up and start at the usual time.

On the bus, I found something odd. My cell phone called one of my relays in Oregon that I set up to confuse people. I know I didn't call it. The number is falimiar (familiar) to me, but I'm not sure why. It's a baltimore (Baltimore) number, but I don't recall knowing anyone in Baltimore. The stranger thing is that it was called while I was asleep. Perhaps I rolled over onto the keys or something.

The automated security I set up at my Oregon location is working nicely. The backup server seems to have gone online and though I lost some files that I was working on, the security program *reconized (recognized) a threat of someone hacking at the individual directories. So it appears to have locked them down.

Thank goodness the puppy is reported safe. I was starting to worry about
her. Desperite (Desperate) times and all that however. She isn't going to piss on my floor anymore.

Anyway, It's time to set up shop. I hope people are able to work through the nesserary (neccesary) obfusication (obfuscation) on my webpage. Heh. If not, they can always just seek out Grendel themselves and keep hitting refresh I guess. LOL. That's a good test to see if they are trully (truly) on my side.

Which leaves us with LMBASIL

And Melody made some other errors besides the capital in Dangerous. There are some before she mentions the blog and some after. I'm using the ones she made after that reference.

sensetive
rteminded
Raasputin (then said oops, Rasputin, with one a)

Which leaves us with Dita

*Edit - Thanks to Slyfox. I knew their had to be something in that paragraph.

Or maybe it's the wrong letters we are supposed to use?

l,B,i,r,i,l

Or a message to Myssfitz:

familiar Baltimore:
Desperate
Necessary Obfuscation
Trully

but that sounds like a 1950's movie script idea of a coded message.

/me decides to get out of the way of people who know how to solve stuff.
And can we take this to the puzzle thread??

Could she be referring to her Tidwell notes? They are titled "Tidwell InterviewNotes"

Just got this EMail from Melody today:

Quote:
I'm sorry if I wasn't very clear last night. If something is _FLAT_ doesn't that make it small and lower than the rest?

Ok, lessee if I can wrap my brain around this one... Smile

And if it was SHARP it would be higher? I've tried taking the notes: D D G A B C# C and making them into a page like so:

ddgabcc.htm
ddgabCc.htm
DDGABCc.htm

(I've tried adding in the #, but I thought that was mostly for going to the same site within the page?) Anyone got anythoughts while I go back to trying this theory?
