Tron games on sale on Steam

Just a heads up, Steam's got a sale going on right now for Tron 2.0 (or, as it was known on release for the original XBOX, Tron 2.0: Killer App) and Tron Evolution. Tron 2.0 is $5 and Tron Evolution is $10.

I barely played Tron Evolution, finding it broken (which I think had more to do with it being designed for controller rather than a mouse and keyboard than anything) and gave up within minutes of playing it.

However, I LOVED LOVED LOVED Tron 2.0. It's really lovingly crafted by people who clearly loved and respected the original movie, and it does indeed include Bruce reprising his role as Alan Bradley. Is the game perfect? No. But it's still darned great. One thing that's really exciting is that Tron 2.0 was abandoned by Disney many years ago, and the community came forward to keep the game alive on more modern systems, including things like supporting higher resolutions, fixing glitches, and playing homebrew campaigns. With the re-release (or re-rezz) on Steam, Disney appears to have picked up the slack once more, and the game now is supported up to Windows 8.1. Whether that will still allow you to play the old mods, I don't know.

In any case, it's 5 bucks. If you enjoy FPSs, or want a take on an alternate path the Tron story could have taken, I think it's worth a try. Please post here if you've ever played the game, what you thought, or if you decide to give it another try!
