Well if it's anything to divulge from what we've been given, is that the Alchemical Symbols wikipedia page has that exact same page on level three. It was explained by a swedish man called Torbern Bergen, who explained alchemical symbols in his Dissertation on Elective Attractions, published in 1775.
Also, just throwing this out there but the glyph for the method of the Philosopher's Stone is there on the wikipedia page of the Alchemical Symbols. The Philosopher's Stone is also named in some parts as the elixir of life. It's also known that Newton was an Alchemist and searched for a method of the elixir of life.

Hi, everyone! I've been lurking awhile and finally decided to get involved. Most of the ARGs I've followed have fizzled out, so hopefully this one will be different! I've been catching myself up on this one today.
Gavin made a few new blog posts, including one called Challenge: Element Cards , where he asks us to choose an element and make baseball-style cards and send them to him to receive new clues. I sent one to him this afternoon but haven't heard anything back yet.
In his next post, Trust , he mentions only being able to give bits and pieces of information to people he trusts. He talks about the Element Cards again and also the current email challenge (which I must have missed somewhere? I'm guessing I need to submit my email to the contact page of the main Gravity Papers site).
Gavin tweeted that he received an anonymous message saying: 1400079179 (go to 337) . He also posted a blog entry about Westminster Abbey .
I do have a question - amandel, you said that Gavin has some PW protected entries on his wordpress blog, but I can't seem to find them? I saw that he tweeted a link to one called And Now For Something Completely Different, but when I try the link, I just get "Page Not Found." Was that the PW protected page and it's since been deleted?

Twitter clue Hi guys.
I too have decided to get on this particular thread.
I am a little confused by amandel's post as well - have the password fields for oxidane/water been taken down. Were they simply to lead to the announcement of the Element Card Challenge?
Or are they linked to the 'trench' and 'tunnel' posts on the blog? Do we have any ideas on those PW's?
As for the Twitter clue, 1400079179 is the ISBN number for Dan Brown's 'The Da Vinci Code', which seems to fit the theme well enough.
Go to 337 could be referring to a page number? I'm in the office right now and my copy is at home, although I will check when I get in.
Or it could refer to AD337 when Constantine died, and was interred at the Church of the Holy Apostles in Constantinople (or Istanbul).

Hello and welcome!!
Yes, the old password boxes drop off the blog, and were replaced today with new ones.
All-knowing Amandel tweeted a good explanation of 337 here:
https://twitter.com/gravitypapers/status/532369143845367808
As for Tunnel ?? First thot was Chunnel (Paris to London) tried a few passwords, but nothing yet.
Also Tunnel under/nearby Westminister Abbey ??
Or we may have to wait for clues by email....

I received an email from Gavin this morning:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The key to tunnel is both lucky and unlucky.
I haven't had any luck yet on the password.
There's also an Element Cards page on the Gravity Papers site now. http://www.gravitypapers.com/element-cards.html My submission is the only one posted. I don't know if anyone else has submitted yet, but if not, maybe that would get us the clue for Trench.
Edit: Thanks for explaining the missing pages/password boxes, booba.

THX Bigtime Booba. Hello & welcome to uF, naeniatypica. Your email clue lead to a PW & a new page:
Tunnel PW
Maybe better this time not to spoiler the new page: http://archive.gravitypapers.com/canary.html

That was so quick! Nice job, amandel. I must have been trying to make it harder than it was.

Have had to quote because for some reason the site won't let me make a simple post!
This is great work on canary, although all it does is take us to potentially another word, this time with 5 letters.
In other news, on the topic of Trench, there is a Richard Chevenix Trench buried in the Nave of Westminster Abbey, not far from the burial site of Newton mentioned in the Tweet.

Hey guys, as things picked up on this of course my RL work went into frenzy mode and I was completely out of the loop while all those things were happening.
Was anyone else asked where they live by Gavin?

Gavin never asked me where I live, but I only just signed up for emails yesterday. The only emails I've gotten from him so far are confirmations from subscribing to email updates and submitting an element card and the clue for Tunnel.
I do think that the clue for Trench's password might be gained from someone else submitting an element card.
Gavin tweeted a picture this afternoon of a blue bird. After some googling, I found it was an indigo bunting, which are also known as "blue canaries." So we have a yellow canary and a "blue canary" so far. If you put those together, you get green, which has five letters like the blanks on the Canary page, but I don't know how that would tie into anything. I tried finding new pages relating to the birds (canaries, buntings, finches) or the colors, but nothing turned up.
There's also a new blog post titled Hannah: http://gravitypapers.wordpress.com/2014/11/13/hannah/

I have just submitted my card - went for Krypton, 36.
I have also received an e-mail at 11:53pm yesterday evening (UK Time) asking which major city I live near. The answer for myself is London. I have asked if he is looking for someone near a particular city, so will let you know when I hear back.

So I'm guessing we need to find the location...
I'm still not sure what the title of the post, 'Tunnel', has to do with anything. The Greenwich Foot Tunnel overlooks Canary Wharf. The Greenwich Royal Observatory is still up on the gravity papers website, right? Yellow + Blue = Green(wich)?
I don't know.

I have heard back from Gavin. In response to the location question, he simply replied:
"Thank you! I'm asking just in case this information might become useful."
But I have also been passed a new clue from him:
"The next clue is fifteen."
And finally, there is a new blog post: http://gravitypapers.wordpress.com/2014/11/14/the-library-and-the-priest/

Looks like this did get us a new clue! Thanks! Now to figure out what to do with it.

I also got this email. He still hasn't asked about my location though.
EDIT: I've just noticed that Gavin has now tweeted the picture of the indigo bunting/blue canary five additional times today. Obviously we're missing something he really wants us to know, but I haven't figured out how to apply it.

I sent Gavin a tweet fishing for if Yellow and Indigo refers to the spectrum Newton devised working with prisms ???
