CONTACT: Marcus on YIM (4/17/04)

Synopis:
Marcus wants us to stop looking for the professor.

Quote:

marcusthesburg: I know the proffessor has enticed many of you. I ask that you put your curiosity away. He is dangerous.

the_rowan72: We are all dangerous in our own way.

marcusthesburg: Yes, but not only physically dangerous, but dangerous to your career with Ideltech.

the_rowan72: For a company that is based primarily on curiousity, it seems strange you would want to stifle it

marcusthesburg: We are not fool-hearty. We want you to be safe and this is not a controlled search. You sound like you may be high maintenance. Just an early observation.

the_rowan72: Yes, I do suppose you would want to be able to handle and mold your employees like a sculptor does clay

marcusthesburg: The analogy doesn't fit me, but it does sound efficient.

the_rowan72: What does fit you?

marcusthesburg: A busy guy that is not into recklessness

the_rowan72: You've never taken a big risk?
the_rowan72: Seemed quite risky to mortgage your fathers house. And to have Jude get so much money from his parents...

marcusthesburg: I take big risks when I can calculate a positive outcome on my own talents
marcusthesburg: I cannot have the same faith for someone who is talking to me for the first time in such a challenging manner

the_rowan72: You don't like challenges?
the_rowan72: If you like, I could be demur and meek.
the_rowan72: Is that the type of person you like?

marcusthesburg: Two extremes.... somewhere in between is suitable.

the_rowan72: Someone who takes initiative, but leaves the descions up to you.

marcusthesburg: Bingo
marcusthesburg: Since I hold most liable

the_rowan72: That's a tough line to walk. I'm not the type who sits back while others do all the driving.

marcusthesburg: Well, I admire that, I also admire one who knows his role.

the_rowan72: Her role

marcusthesburg: Ah, her.... excuse me

the_rowan72: It's ok. One of the hazards of this name.

marcusthesburg: Well, take care

the_rowan72: You too.

Wild speculation....

Hmm, could this be TOBI talking? The style of writing seems more stilted than normal. Maybe the paranoia's kicking in for me?

Here's the useful bit of my convo with Marcus

Quote:
Voltron44: is TOBI able to tell you anything?
MarcusThesburg: TOBI told us that the weird logic and metaphors is too crypitc for a computer to figure much out
Voltron44: but could it find anything at all??
MarcusThesburg: It is playing with the notes on the website right now
MarcusThesburg: WE are having to help it every step of the way

Voltron44: well, i guess that's probabally a good thing..it seems like TOBI is almost too powerful as it is
MarcusThesburg: I want more, but he has to gain a soul first I guess
MarcusThesburg: LOL

Voltron44: heh heh
Voltron44: maybe someday IT can become a real boy
MarcusThesburg: TOBi has been failing. The DR. understands his weekness in arts and culture

I dunno, Marcus is really starting to bug me....

I'm with you Stercus, he asked me if he could date my daughter. Shocked
