Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Tweets are saying that's somewhere in New York at the '64 Worlds Fair site.
Is anyone close enough to go there and figure out the truth?

One that apparently has deciphered the password or code to enter the site. Any ideas, people?

Might be worth looking into followers on Twitter

Need someone in NY

I tweeted Stop Plus Ultra and they responded with "@PickledInsanity Any Abandoned willing to trek into that hive of Plus Ultra history and provide us with the access code will be rewarded."

So someone needs to physically go check the Flushings Meadows site of the It's a Small World location from the '64 Worlds Fair. Problem is, the only member of my group from that area is currently in Cali! There has to be someone in NY who can go see what is there!

Oh, and I too recieved a response from NYFairLady64.

"So exciting to see your comment!

Many questions come to mind but the most pressing is why have you stayed silent for so long, and if this is to be a long-awaited chance for the rest of us who missed the previous opportunity to become an Optimist, what can we/I do to help?!

Thank you for giving us something to hope for!

- pickledinsanity"

Dear PickledInsanity,

Thank you for taking the time to write to me. It's so nice to know there are those out there who believe me, and are interested in my experience.

I think there are a lot of people who would like to hear the answer to your question. Would you mind if I responded to it publicly, for everyone's benefit?

Sincerely,

Just so everyone knows, Stop Plus Ultra is unaffiliated with Disney. That is not part of the official ARG. Do not take anything that account tells you as gospel. It is run by a fan of the original Optimist ARG who thought there wasn't going to be any new puzzles... and then this came along.

So while I agree there may be something at Flushing Meadows, the Stop Plus Ultra account has no clue for sure because they AREN'T Disney.

Are you sure it isn't connected? Jeff Jensen, who co-wrote Tommorrowland with Damon Lindelof posted on March 11th the Stop Ultra Plus video on his facebook page.

I am 100% sure it's not affiliated with the Tomorrowland movie at all, as when I outed the Twitter account as fake in a Facebook group, the creator contacted me via Facebook and told me not to reveal the truth as he wanted people to have something to look forward to as he didn't believe Disney was going to do any further ARG marketing. This was about a month ago.

The site looks like a community hub. It has a cache of images from the mystery box.

fwiw, StopPlusUltra did seem more like a fan project, considering the site is rather crude in construction. A Disney-backed endeavour would've had more polish. Plus I think they're obligated to state somewhere whether something is in-game or not. The Optimist had a disclaimer.

It also treats The Optimist & Tomorrowland in a meta way, going so far as to include Damon Lindleof and Brad Bird in the lore. I doubt Disney would approve that kind of tactic.

On the other hand, they did have early access to Before Tomorrowland, knew about the puzzle on the back (and its typo), and they seem to have posted images from artefacts that haven't been seen before (the comic).

Not to mention the tape recording, which is very well done for a fan project. Maybe they have inside sources after all...

Regarding the PlusUltraSociety site - when you use the code and enter the archive it lists is as

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
/ ARCHIVE / MEMBERS / COMMUNICATIONS / WED4221964

For anyone that has read the Before Tomorrowland book, the one character would use certain lines that had the / word / format as well - anyone think they are linked? Also, the book does work in the NYC 1939 World Fair, which was at the same spot as the 1964 fair.... anyone found any connections to the book (other than then comic book puzzle at the end of the book)?

I found this - http://www.expomuseum.com/disney/ talking about Disney and World Fairs

Has anyone been able to find any codes to enter the Plus Ultra Society site besides the one from the dead drop?

There is a memo mentioning member codes on the backs of pins... not sure if there have been pictures of the backs of the pins anywhere

I am also trying the dates of the different memos as the first one seemed like a date code

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
day of week first three letters capitalized month no leading 0 day and then full year AKA WED4221964

Also, I found it funny how they reference the Disney Amelia photo - that is a nice "joke" Smile

I think the WED in the code doesn't refer to the day of the week but the sender. Walt Disney's full name is Walter Elias Disney, making his initials WED.
