 		No, I see lonsumtravlr's point. It wouldn't benefit MH in any way, sure, but it would allow the new series to have its own proper immersion, to a degree. The MH channel would become the new series's channel alone and be kept separate from stuff that wouldn't make sense IG like a shared channel.

That said, I don't see it happening. MH was really good at the immersion factor in its first season, when Jay and TTA actually responded to PMs and tweets and the timeline was worked into the plot, but that setup caused them a lot of trouble later on when maintaining the IG timeline with the OOG one became pretty much impossible. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't make as much of an effort on the immersion factor with the new show to avoid the difficulties that can bring.

Neither am I. In fact I kinda hope it isn't because they already pushed the limits of found footage a lot with MH and I'd rather see what they can do when not bound by those constraints (for instance, we could get flashbacks without needing to find a cache of tapes every ten entries.)

I hope the found footage element will be minimal-to-nonexistent in the new series, too. I'd hate to see too much with it. Even if the stories were to be connected, there would be better ways to connect them (though possibly some found footage would need to be used, it could be minimized). Except for something that's really a masterpiece, it gets wicked boring, and soon.

 		Given that the new series would be in the Marble Hornets universe, but not centered around the Operator, I don't really see them making a new paranormal monster, but rather the "maniac" type of an antagonist (probably hinted to be messed up by the Operator's influence).
Now, Jay did say in the "Introduction" something ambiguous:

So, it COULD be a series about Jay's 2006-2009 life, where he encounters a strange guy/group of guys who try to kill him or do whatever else to unnerve him. This series could include Jay, Amy, Sarah, even Brian and Tim, considering memory loss theme. This scenario would be easily connectable to the MH channel and Twitter account and may even be finished with a "real-time" Tim who somehow found tapes with the new series footage (all of them at once) and then wanted to clean up the ends and deal with the "new" maniac, like he had with Alex.

I don't mind more found footage if it's all planned beforehand in its entirety, with the appropriate shooting timing, so it wouldn't become an issue, like it did with Marble Hornets. I mean, THAC surely learnt on their mistakes. 2 full seasons of "Dexter" were written in one month, if memory serves me correctly, and given the amount of money guys received from their Kickstarter, they could afford to devote themselves to writing the new series full-time.

All of this is unlikely, of course. They'll just probably hire actors.

EDIT: I haven't listened to any podcasts, Q&As or DVD commentaries, so some of that might have already been proven wrong. I'll be really thankful if you inform me of such things. Brownie

 		Well, some of those stills from the teaser were reminiscent of distorted security footage, and that COULD be a found footage element. I just hope it's one of the only ones.

It wasn't really confirmed or denied that the new series will be even in the Marble Hornets universe (it's incessantly delayed movie that's supposed to be). I wouldn't be surprised if it were, though.

I'd rather tolerate a little excessive more found footage than see that old hospital again, though--anyone with me on this?

 		It's funny that I never thought of this, I guess I just assumed they'd be writing/shooting and have other actors.

 		I had a Skype session with them. The new series will take place in the same MH universe. But they will be casting for the characters that will be in it. So Joseph, Troy, and Tim won't play any characters in the series.

Awesome, I'm glad they're taking that step forward. But that doesn't mean they won't be in it as well. I wonder what role John Cena will be trying out for?

They should just give him half of the series' funding and have John Cena play every character. Have him play a schizophrenic.
