 		Interesting game, will give it a bit of a run. Could use any input from your end, get me up to detail about anything you've so far found out.

Scratching at the surface for anything unusual, found this frame of the memorial video. Guy in the red box. Creepy photo-bomb makes him suspect A, though might be a red herring. Any idea who he is? Relation to Laura?

My meta-instinct is telling me either this is a red-herring, or the game is made simpler than I'm used to. If the latter, that's fine. Regardless, still need evidence of the guy being responsible. If I were the game-director, I'd make it hard to find proof and dangle creeps just to bring players down the wrong path, but still.

They're looking for proof regarding their key suspect.

Cat Peake, the barista seems to be the one posing as James Howlett, the internet creep who sent Laura weird tweets. They suspect she's also Naomi's mad ex and therefore jealous of Laura's fling with Naomi, but haven't found definite proof of this yet.

There's also 'The Network' a group of hackers who use the Twitter hashtag #drunksparrow and have a locked tumblr account no-one's found the password to yet.

 		Oh, also, in answer to your question, I think that's David. He's the security guard who works with Laura.

He's been pretty much ruled out as the killer is seen in the main video (right towards the end) and is a similar height to Laura, while David is much taller. He was up to some creepy stuff with The Network, though!

 		I kind of like the fact that she's a bit all over the place personality-wise. I think if you saw most people for a full 24 hours they wouldn't seem so great!

 		Yes, still doggedly scratching away. The offical clues on the facebook page have made me doubt everything I thought I knew though. It's so huge and complex and frustrating!

I think the attacker in the chicken shop was a woman - possibly Naomi's ex-gf - and the attacker thought the girl was Laura.

The #drunkensparrow team of stalkers are just that - stalkers playing a silly game. None of them - especially @albi_network - were directly responsible for killing Laura.

I think that a big clue will be revealed when someone can find the correct password for the http://insidethenetwork.tumblr.com/ site.

It's possible that she was murdered by someone working for Room 90 so that they could show potential customers the capabilities of the SaturnEye utility...

 		I'm thinking along similar lines Jumbotron.

I'm a little rusty, as my last real go at this stuff was back around the i heart bees era.

All the old tools I used back then aren't helping much. Web digging leads to Puppeteers/real people who have had their site built by the same person. The old image and audio stenography stuff doesn't come into play in a way I've found. Social engineering characters is out as they don't respond, and don't exist in the physical world. I can't spot any obvious crypto or vectors for it.

I'm fast running out of options trying to figure the network password short of brute forcing tumblr, and I think that might be more bother than it is worth.
The network characters 1337 speak and public communication make it look like we're meant to be able to figure out their password, they don't come across like the branch of the TA that is SigInt related.

Anyone have any ideas on approaches to the network passsword?

I've tried variations in English and leet for terms relating to: bounty/pirate/jack sparrow/Caribbean/rum/the woman who hijacked a ferry drunk and yelled "I'm Jack Sparrow"/The A Team/Common passwords from the 90s/hacker movie passwords (swordfish, trustno1 etc.)/laura/quoted song lyrics


The official twitter account did tweet that more would follow, so I'm hopeful.

 		I'm currently wondering if Official Clue #4 (the iPad Snatch) is a bit of a red herring. Most people I've seen are now focusing on the iPad, but

this is also the time Laura is talking to Claire about Richard and Claire's saying sthg along the lines of 'He was the one who got an apology, but my life was ruined too" So what if the clue here is actually about Claire and Richard and their potential involvement?


Agree about the Chicken Shop stuff though, and the passworded tumblr.

A few things keep niggling at me, but it's just gut instinct, not really related to anything that's happened. They are:

What's the connection with the construction company in Dubai?

What are the 'other deaths' Olipado mentions in his video? (And is this related to the weird videos in the Twitter accounts Cat Peake's following? Or am I clutching at straws?)

And who is that goddamn werewolf?!


I feel like I'm just making insane connections that aren't there out of desperation!

Re-reading some of the transcriptions is intriguing.

There's clearly some past issue between Laura, Jess and their mother - Laura: "And where were they when I needed them, huh?" during a Skype with Eddie McVarish.

Her dad passed away - Eddie: "Your dad died. That is sad. I know that."

Do you know how old Laura is? Because there's also some ambiguous reference to a child dying in a car accident - Eddie: "It's his birthday next week, you know." Laura: "Would have been." Eddie: "Yeah. He'd be fifteen." and then a reference to it being a car accident - Eddie: "My mum said she'd take flowers down. Apparently the guy, the driver, he does too."

I'm wondering whether Laura and Eddie were a couple and had a child together? And that child (and perhaps Laura's father) died in the same car accident? That might also explain why Eddie's (new) wife - Zara is tetchy upon hearing that the two of them are having a skype conversation.



Anyway, the official twitter page said that there will be a SaturnEye update soon...

I'll try to build a profile of #drunkensparrow - try to find a common theme shared among them.

 		Wow, that's really useful! There are so many things I'd not really paid attention to/forgotten about.

Re-reading this, I think her dad committed suicide, because she says about Simon's suicide attempt "It brings it all back" and Eddie reassures her "None of this is your fault Laura. Not what happened to Simon. Not what happened to your dad."


Other ones that really stand out are:

"Vik needs to understand, just because he screwed up the merger doesn't mean we all need to bleed for this contract." I know Hannah's speaking metaphorically, but a couple of the official clues feature Vik. Does this mean he's in financial trouble or would do anything to secure the merger - eg. make a deal with Saturneye that endangers Laura?

Simon talks about the flat ad and it's been rumoured in interviews with the creators to have actually been put on Gumtree, although I can't find it. Not sure how much could be gained from it, possibly pictures of the flat which include clues? Dunno.

Need to review the interviews Billy Bliss sorts out. Seems like working out exactly who's there might be useful.

Who's the 'guy with curtains' who's mentioned a few times and generally seems to be hanging around being weird.


Going to keep combing through this and comparing it to Twitter timelines and see where that gets me!

I don't think it's possible for Eddie & Laura to have a fifteen year old kid, as I'm pretty sure Laura says at some point that she's 24. (Or someone else does.) However, they could have a kid, as Eddie has a picture of a kid on his Facebook page, which I took to be him as a baby, but could quite easily be his. And I think you're right about them having some kind of relationship.


What do you make of the latest official clue in relation to everything?

Eddie's lost kid being 15 made me think about it being Laura's sisters 16th birthday. Maybe they aren't really sisters? Eddie and Laura know each other through some kind of parents who can't raise their kids group?
Laura and the Dick Heart had that thing when she was 15. How old is Laura? Does that explain why he chose that specific day to go to London?
Insane speculation with no foundation I know.
