So I'm a bit behind, 44 looks to be an arg and an email was sent to ol' scott. Do we know what the status of this forum is going to be? Since it's a marble hornets sequel are we staying here? Do we get to hang with the big kids in the ARG section again?

Let's not get too attached to this idea. MH started out with people expecting it to be more of an ARG than it really was too. While it certainly looks like it could be interactive or even a fullblown ARG, nothing at this point confirms that- this could just be a teaser to lead into the plot.

Seconded. Although, I wouldn't count out some puzzles or codes that would shed some light on or influence the plot.

I wouldn't mind if there were codes again. Especially if they followed through on the idea they discussed for MH where they'd have some sort of big plot point revealed through code before being revealed in the main series but the code would be borderline impossible to solve.

Someone on tumblr just pointed out that 3872 is double the square of 44.
(44^2)(2) = 3872

I think Joker might be right, theorising about the narrative and plot is fine as it can virtually go in any direction but maybe we shouldn't get our hopes up about the format. THAC have called it "a new series" and not new ARG so I think at the very most there will be minimum audience interaction and significance to the plot's pace. I've been wrong before, but it's safer to assume too little than too much.

have to agree here--this just seems like a more aggressive, interactive marketing strategy, which is fine with me, personally. I think THAC's been clear about putting out a series.

Yeah I highly doubt anyone is going to get an email response.

But at the same time, why not? They could probably get away with something like that he dscott repsonds to some emails as long as its not something significant and worth remembering, you know? kind of like how jay interacted with us. It was just to feel real.

Ultimately though I really doubt its going to be an ARG. I wouldn't want it to be one anyway.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
inb4 it's all an elaborate prank to release Alex Kralie's Marble Hornets

I'm okay with that.

So could the most recent Nature Break, or shall I say "nature guy" be related to this new series? Or just an April Fools?

I think it's reasonable to assume that it's just an April Fool's thing. We should all know by now that Troy really loves distorting video and finding new techniques to do it. :p
