I too am waiting for more solid input right now, I've tried some steganalysis with the gif and the picture of Alex, but either we don't know the password yet, or I just don't understand good enough how that stuff works.


My thoughts exactly lol. The annoying thing is the Director sign in link only redirects to a page with no sign in fields, so even though we don't have the password, I'm sure some of us could make good guesses if we had somewhere to put them. Inb4 password being Alex4Amy or Alex44Amy.


I get a dialog box asking for a username and password when I click it.

I'm getting the same thing. I think it's only for Windows computers, though. Doesn't work when I'm on my iPhone.


I'm able to get it from Chrome on my Windows laptop. So maybe you're right and the problem is with Safari.

I bet that the password is something on the website somewhere. Don't you think that the "my dog Rocky" is odd? I can't help think of Chekhov's gun.

 		It works on my iPhone 5c, and I only use Safari.

All of Alex's caps and lc's are odd there. It wouldn't surprise me that it was significant, but no clue how. First letters? Numerical value? Some sort of substitution by a particular number of places? This one feels artsy, which only makes sense give both Alex's IG pretensions and what I'm assuming is a pretty deep knowledge of film, webseries, and pop culture by the THAC boys.

Yeah it appears in Chrome for me now, must have been added overnight, every site I browse has problems with Safari though.

 		got this feeling that the password is "rocky" or something similar. people often have their pets as passwords and OOG this could be the reason they chose to inform us of the dogs name

 		I mean technically they already informed of us the dog's name back in MH, but yeah, I agree.

I also have a feeling that the "Alex Area" is going to be significantly less lighthearted than the rest of the site, considering there's little reason for there to be a password protected area on a student film's webpage. It wouldn't shock me if it's a page which, in its current state, was last updated somewhere after Alex started going insane.

Alex Area is the html page anything with /secure before it means it requires a password I think

Yes, Alex's birthday is well-known here. That's why we put so much emphasis on the number "44".

 		If y'all want to try brute forcing it, I guess you could try something like hydra. The site uses http-basic protocol for authentication but I'm not sure if hydra supports that (though it does support a number of http protocols). If it doesn't, I think nmap has some password cracking tools too.

You'd still need to generate a username list though. I think variations on Alex Kralie, Amy, Rocky, and maybe Marble Hornets (or some combination of those) would be a pretty good start?

Idk if you guys actually wanna go that route though, that seems like cheating.
