The two sets of numbers may translate to "REDBK P3". Red book page 3? We don't have the red book Sad

I kept up with this regularly and call the numbers myself regularly and today when I called the old WORM Seed orders number [REDACTED] I was prompted by a message saying they were time warner connect and said my phone service was suspended and I am in danger of losing service and to call them at the number above in the subject line. Upon calling the time warner connect number it goes straight to a cell phone like voicemail box that answers immediately like the phone is off. The voicemail says this is David Herrington please leave a message in a common manner. Not sure if this was discovered and covered in the old thread before we moved to this thread but I have read 99.9% of the old thread and this one and don't recall this david Herrington/Harrington name coming up before. Sorry if you already know about it, I work alone mostly on this, but I was interested if this had come up yet cause I don't recall reading it. I left David a message to call me back, will see what happens.

Unfortunately we disagree and I will act upon or dial any number I like. Why would an obvious fake prompt about phone service then send you to a number not in game? Sounds like a classic case of dismissing something simply because it doesn't go along with what you currently "consider" to be part of a game. If you have some proof on the other hand that this has nothing to do with the game that would be great, but your beliefs are not gonna stop me from doing what i want.

2123649953 is an in-game phone number, but it's a Class 6 phone number that can only be accessed via Cleveland Direct. These phone service prompts are standard for Class 6 numbers when dialed without CD.

The number ending in 7384 was investigated extensively in 2013 and found to belong to a "regular" person who was not connected to the ARG, thus it is considered out of game. It would be appreciated if you could edit it and the full name out of your post with respect for this person who probably doesn't want their full name and phone number posted online.

 		There have been instances where a number was given out that was incorrect; in one case a list of numbers was provided and one of them lead to someone's personal voicemail, which was wrong. A short while later the message was corrected.

The same thing probably happened here. If you are getting a personal voicemail then chances are you are likely no longer in the game but are bothering real life people who have no idea what you are doing.

Actually, that's exactly what UF is for. If you need a subforum with multiple threads to keep this from becoming too much a mess, request one, but please don't tell other people not to use the forums in the exact way they are meant to be used for. Thanks!


As for the number, I removed it for now, but passed the info (including the number) to the admin team. It does not appear to me that it is still in-game. what you instead appear to have posted is a number that used to maybe be in game, but is now possibly camped by a phone scammer - hence the auto message sending to a "live person" via a cellphone. I believe it would be illegal for a game to do something similar, so for the PM team's sake, I hope it isn't ingame.

 		If you want to continue to have a discussion about this, please PM me. My last word here: unFiction is a place of discussion, right now you are limited to 1 thread about the game you are playing. You cannot dictate how someone opts to use the only thread that is all encompassing, especially telling them to go to some other medium instead. You can opt not to engage someone, but don't tell them not to use unFiction in the intended matter of the forums. If/when you get a subforum, you can dedicate threads in just about whatever manner your player community sees fit (within the rules and guidelines, for instance, I would limit OT threads). You do not have to play here, but you can't tell others they can't. There you go.

Edit to add - I never said you can't tell them gameplay or discussion is happening elsewhere, I simply said you can't tell them not to discuss here.

 		Quick update: Not much has been going on! Most in-game phone numbers still give us the same string of numbers that we haven't been able to decode. Robby's "vacation" period (September 11 - 14) has come and gone and we haven't heard from him. Nobody who ordered anything from MISO while it was up has received a package, but it's always taken a while to get any of the "orders" we've made. Hopefully there will be something new to report soon!
