THE DROPS:

Retrieving drops is a major aspect of the game, even if it sometimes seems like we go long periods without anything to find at all. The items we find at drop sites range from CDs, books, small metal components, weird black boxes, creepy stuffed animals, to laminated index cards. Most drops, when recovered, give us clues on how to proceed in the game, but there are some whose purpose we still haven't determined. This is a list (with in-depth descriptions) of all the drops we have retrieved. Drop sites that were visited but found empty, such as the Grand Canyon or Fort Lauderdale Airport sites, are NOT included here, but they are included in the timeline when appropriate.

[drop item inventory]

Lake Oswego, OR (Lake Oswego Public Library): The very first drop we received, alluded to in the first message quoted above.
Quote:
DROP/45.4240/-122.6675/0-8160-4195-4/PG272/

The drop was found at the library the coordinates point to, on page 272 of the book matching the ISBN listed: First Ladies: A Biographical Dictionary. It was a CD-R containing files named p1.txt, p2.txt, p3.txt, p4.txt, and otp.txt. We have used these files to help us decode NATO messages and order things from the message desk.

Blue Hill, ME: This drop was retrieved only days after the first, in a payphone booth near Bangor, Maine. It was another CD, containing genuine copies of TrueCrypt, BCWipe, and a file named data.bin, which we used to decrypt the component drop messages on (709) 700-0122.

Black Oak Lake Cemetery, Montevideo, MN: We discovered this drop on agent code 3233 by XORing it with data.bin. The drop itself was found slightly outside of the cemetery, and it consisted only of a clear-taped index card with the phone number (709) 700-0122 on it.

Component Drops: The location of these drops were decoded on (709) 700-0122. Each drop contained small metal components. The components are meant to form something, since the coordinate message states "PROCEED TO SVALBARD VAULT FOR FINAL ASSEMBLY". However, we've not been able to make much sense of them, possibly because of the pieces that we're missing.
Retrieved Components: Tapiola, Finland; Santa Cruz, CA

"Retrieved" Components: Swan Point Cemetery, Pawtucket, RI. The components were found, but one was dropped and lost.

Forever Beautiful: Before the components at the Rhode Island drop site were recovered, we found a stuffed animal elephant, which we destroyed in case anything was inside. The PMs like to make fun of us for doing this. While describing the stuffed animal to us, the person at the location said it was holding a heart that said "I love you", then corrected themselves to "We love you", and then mentioned that the tag said "Forever Beautiful". Ever since, this has been a recurring phrase in the game. An early message has a distorted baby voice repeating the phrase at the end. The plushie destruction is mentioned at length on agent code 22. We received a drop of another Forever Beautiful stuffed animal much later in the game, in the summer of 2014.

Missing Components: Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan; Bellwood, IL; Manoa Chinese Cemetery, Honolulu, HI

    - The decoded message indicated that there was another component drop in Hong Kong, but that it had already been collected.

Bursage Loop Trail, Henderson, NV: The location of this drop was decoded from agent code 16001. It was found on an X on the Bursage Loop bike trail. The drop consisted of a mysterious black box and a SIM card. When the box is connected to a computer, we are able to input DTMF (0123456789ABCD*). When a successful code is input, it will return one of fifteen different outputs. According to later Agent System messages, there should have been a green paper with instructions on how to activate the SIM card at the drop, but this was never recovered.

El Paso, TX: This drop was again decoded from agent code 16001. The clue for the drop was "HOLE", and the first two visitors to the location were unsuccessful in finding it. While our third group of visitors was at the site, we received an SSTV message that pictured the exact location of the drop, underneath a truck. The CD contained an Ubuntu distro with a 100 MB deviation referred to by MLPL as a "standard 100 MB hole". This is the OTP Black 1 CD, which we have used to decode hundreds of messages between agents on codes 18000 and above.

Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Rainier, OR: This drop site was visited two times, once to deposit a fake "damaged" book, and the second time to retrieve the "replacement" copy of the book. During our first visit, the visitor placed a plastic bag of ashes as our "damaged book", and found a DRAM card with a dollar bill taped to the receptacle. Neither have been used for anything, and it was indicated later that we were not supposed to remove the DRAM card. On the second visit, we recovered a book cover for "Molds and Lichens of Nova Scotia", published by the Atlantic Mycological Union. On the opposite side, written in pen, are a code and phone number. The code is the serial number of the dollar from the first drop, and the phone number is the same number from the Black Oak Lake Cemetery drop.

Blyind Package: Shortly after the damaged book was dropped, one of our members received a package in the mail containing more metal components. This person had never given his name or address to the Message Desk, so we're still unsure how the PMs got his information.

North Dakota/Montana Border: According to the notes on the Agent System, this drop was intended for Agent 16042. It is a CD identical to the one found at the El Paso site, and is labeled OTP Black 2.

Nadando Package: This was another drop mailed to one of our members, but this was significantly less weird. Nadando left his information with the Message Desk during a keepalive session in hopes of getting a copy of the "pink book" being discussed, and this is what he was sent. The pink book is "Global Response Codes". There was a code hidden behind the stamps on the package

Bangkok, Thailand: This drop was discovered through a series of Black OTP 1 messages and a Message Desk call. It was located in a phone booth in Bangkok, and it contained a DVD in a case titled "Collecting Vintage Capacitors, Diodes, and Thyristors" by the "Vintage Semiconductor Society". The DVD itself is a 12 minute video consisting of the narration from a real-life work safety presentation over several different videos from dashcams and surveillance footage. At certain points in the video, numbers flash on screen corresponding to new agent codes.
[pictures] [video]

Secret Beach, Kauai: This drop was discovered through an agent system message prompting us to pick up the "green book" at a remote beach on Kauai. It took us a full month to find someone to visit the site, where the book was finally recovered under a tree with the word "Dorvin" carved into it.

Kauai Black OTP Drops: These three drops for additional Black OTP CDs were located on Kauai and their locations were found on the Agent System shortly after the first drop.
OTP Black 7: A good hike into a nature preserve, this CD was found at a rock ledge near the path.
OTP Black 8: This CD was discovered underneath a rock near a cave. It had been damaged from being left out, but it seems repairable if necessary.
OTP Black 9: The final Black OTP CD on Kauai, this one was found by a coconut near a bush at the specified coordinates. It appears as though a "replacement" for this CD was dropped much later in the game in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Wallace, ID: We discovered the coordinates for this drop on an agent code found in the first green book. It was found under a bridge after a significant amount of time misunderstanding the robot voice's hint as "under branch". It is a replacement green book, identical in every way except for the handwritten field notes.

Newport Beach, CA: The location of this drop was mentioned on 16041 shortly after we gave an excuse as to Ai's absence from mainland training. It was found near a powerbox marked 3601.5. It is a CD identical to all other black OTP CDs we have recovered.

Malaysia rest stop: This drop was discovered through a series of Black OTP messages and a call to the Message Desk in February of 2013. A full month later, we finally found someone to visit the site, a rest stop along a highway. Taped to the bottom of a firehose box we found a plastic bag with components in it, seemingly a "replacement" package for the components that we had lost or dropped in late 2012.

Braco's Letter: One of our members requested a document during a keepalive session at the Message Desk, and left his name and address for it to be delivered. Some time after, he received a letter in the mail. Almost all of the text is redacted.

Smugs Package: After signalling that he had the ability to forward packages to Ai, one of our members received a package in the mail. Inside was a 5.25" floppy, inside of which was a CD. The CD contained two txt files and a file called data.bin, out of which we received the ZEUS instructional video.

Santa Clara, CA: We found the location of this drop, intended for agent 16043, from a Black OTP message on the Agent System. It was found in a nature park near a sign, and it consisted of an 88 MB SyQuest cartridge. Nothing ever came of the data contained on it, but later we discovered that we had missed a microSD card inside the cartridge. It contained 470 MB worth of names and social security numbers (which do not correspond to actual people's information). When the Grover Cleveland March was playing on the Agent System, we noticed that two members of the band responsible for the recording were listed in this file. However, considering the amount of names in the file, this may have been coincidence. We have not used this data for anything concrete as of yet.

Central Park, NY #1: The first Central Park drop, intended for agent 16043, was found on a Black OTP 1 message. It was found under a bush a little ways north of the 79th St. Transverse. It was a CD containing three files: iffound.txt, very similar to the file of the same name from Smugs' package; order.txt, which contained account and job codes which we used with the Material Order Desk; and file.txt, which contained only the (303) number.

Central Park, NY #2: The second Central Park drop, intended for agent 16043 after we stole the first one, was also found on a Black OTP 1 message. It was located in a small tunnel underneath the 72nd St. Transverse. It consisted of a microSD card with data.bin and p1.txt files, and 5 Australian dollars.

Carlisle, PA: This drop was discovered on the Agent System from a Black OTP 1 message intended for Ai. We found it inside a tree trunk at the drop coordinates, and it consisted of another CD.This one contained multiple files, including copies of p1.txt and p2.txt, another iteration of iffound.txt, and a few files authored by Robby containing new information:

El Cerrito, CA: An SSTV image and the number of an agent code containing coordinates appeared on agent code 16042, which had been previously unused despite belonging to one of the agents assigned to assess the counter-operation. It was found on a bike trail underneath BART tracks, and it consisted of two CDs. One was another Black OTP CD, and the other contained two audio files. The first was a strange warning for us, indicating that WORM foresaw us interfering with the drop. The second contained some numbers interspersed with music.

Much later in the game, after being prompted by instructions on agent code 222222 about decoding audio CDs, we discovered MLPL-0000000, the MLPL mission objectives document, from these files.

L0j1k's Letter: One of our users who had been in contact with Robby often via the Material Order Desk received a letter from him in the mail. The text of the letter made no sense:

But using p1.txt from the Pennsylvania drop, the capital letters were decoded to:
Quote:
IN TROUBLE WENT INTO HIDING I KNOW TOO MUCH NOW WILL BE IN CONTACT SOON ROBERT

Smugs Package #2: The user who previously received the ZEUS instructional video for Ai in the mail received a second drop containing a Cleveland Direct calling card. We used this card to dial into multiple Class Six numbers to access new messages, most importantly a new system used to track the coordinates of ships. When the layers of the card were peeled back, a message was revealed:

Quote:

WHITE/RED QVBRC

SOLID YELLOW RAW UMBER/RAINBOW

This message is still unsolved, but all 5grams and colors correspond to the worm colors table from the green book.

Dimitrovgrad, Bulgaria: This drop was placed for Ai in response to questions we left at the Message Desk regarding the status of Operation Irislatch, ABISM Maps, and Vaughnsville. It was a CD found on a power box inside a train station. The CD contained three files. IFFOUND.txt had the same text as usual, with a warning added at the end:
Quote:
ROBERT: YOU CANNOT HIDE

YOU.

The final file was data.bin, which when XOR'd with Black OTP 9 produced a video explaining the nature of the calling card and Class Six numbers.

Sofia, Bulgaria: We learned of this drop through a series of messages on the Agent System in which an agent called B01 requested the location of a "material return" to dispose of a book. It is Robby's copy of the green book, containing many new agent codes and solutions to a lot of the puzzles we missed.

Sebastopol, CA: We discovered the location for this drop on agent code 16041, after some Black OTP messages indicating that J was sending out extra calling cards for agents whose balances were low. We had run out of balance on our first card and were unable to call any of the Class Six numbers. The drop was retrieved near a bench at the start of a trail. It consisted of a calling card identical to the first one except for the message in between the card's layers. This card's message read "AUTHENTIC NIGHTLIGHT FOR FUTURE USE".

Norfolk, VA: We found the location of this drop in a BPSK31 message on agent code 1320, which we found by decoding a new, strange sound on agent code 22. It consisted of a punchcard taped to the back of a plaque inside a park. We received a "license key" for the reverse agent code by XORing the two sets of highlighted numbers.

Astoria, OR: The location of this drop was discovered after ExcitingBooks posted a book cover with a barcode that, when read in code-128 format, translated to "SLUGUTM". We looked at the barcode of another book the account had recently posted, "Slug Farms of the Oregon Coast", and found that it translated to UTM coordinates. The coordinates pointed to Lewis and Clark Park in Astoria, Oregon.

It took quite a while for someone to visit the park, since we were unsure if the ExcitingBooks account was actually tied to anything in-game. When the location was finally visited, a keycard was recovered from underneath a wooden slug. We have not yet found a use for the keycard.

Rohnert Park, CA: This drop was discovered in a BPSK31 message on the Agent System:
Quote:
/REGION/9/DROP/38.3489 -122.7037/LOCATION/1902 SEARS ROEBUCK PAGE 803/LOCATION/0-684-80492-1 PAGE 44/DATE/Z 22235959Z MAR 14/NOTES/FUNCTIONAL TEST/

The drop consisted of two letters found on the specified pages of two books, page 803 in the 1902 edition of the Sears Roebuck Catalogue, and page 44 in the Scribner Encyclopedia of American lives. The two letters referenced a functional test for AS36. They helped us come closer to fixing the Agent System, which had been essentially nonfunctional for months.

Fairbanks, Alaska: The coordinates for this drop were found in a PSK message on AS36:
Quote:
/DROP1/BOOTLOADER FOR AS36/LOC/64.870054 -147.828006/NOTES/TWO PARALLEL LOGS UNDER FURTHEST FROM TRAIL/

The drop was found, predictably, in between two logs by the trail. It consisted of three pieces of paper with new bootloader information, which we used to finally fix the Agent System.

Hermiston, OR (Well Springs Cemetery): The location of this drop was discovered when ExcitingBooks posted a cover for a book titled "Worm Species of Electoral Area A" with an ISBN containing UTM coordinates. Shortly afterward, the cover was deleted and replaced with a copy identical in every way except for the ISBN. Some time passed without any visitors to the site, when ExcitingBooks uploaded a cover titled "Worm Habitats of the Oregon Trail", with the same ISBN, and shortly after deleted it.

After a while, we were able to recruit a reporter to visit the site for us. He retrieved the drop, which consisted of the blue book, titled "1979 Tide Tables of Lake Superior". He also picked up a Korean cookie wrapper, unsure if it was related.

Missoula, MT (Big Pine Campground): This drop was discovered on agent code 16041 shortly after the failed Grand Canyon drop was discovered. It was found near a sign at the specified coordinates, and it consisted of a meterstick stamped with a series of hex digits:
Code:
GROUP 1: 9E 0B A8 6B BE 14 D8 95 40 35 17 8A E1 3B 8E 72 40 BF 81

When combined with the next drop, this formed a message pointing to the location of a third drop.

Plymouth, MN (French Regional Park): This drop location was found on 16041 as a "replacement drop key" after we failed to recover the Grand Canyon drop. The drop was an index card found on a sledding hill. It had hex digits written on it just like the Big Pine Campground's ruler:
Code:
GROUP 1
AF 3F 83 25 9E  23 E8 A5
73 02 22  AA   D5 02  B7
45 79  88  B5 80 E6

When combined with the previous drop, this formed the coordinates for the Milbank, SD drop.

Milbank, SD: As mentioned above, the coordinates for this drop were first received by combining the hex digits from the Missoula, MT and Plymouth, MN drops. Shortly thereafter, Robby's voicemail updated to inform us:
Quote:
Aloha! They were very protective over these images. I have copies, however. This is for a weird drop that isn't even published on the agent system. Aloha!

This message was accompanied by two SSTV images showing the drop site. A BPSK31 message warned us:
Quote:
WHATEVER THIS THING IS, BE CAREFUL. THIS IS NOT YOUR RUN OF THE MILL DROP. THERES SOMETHING REALLY WEIRD ABOUT THIS ONE. -ROBBY

We had trouble finding the exact drop location even with the SSTV assistance, but after a few visits it was finally recovered. The drop consisted of a Forever Beautiful brand stuffed dog with an intact tag. However, it had been modified to play the "baby voice" forever beautiful sound file, followed by some strange tones. When cut apart, we discovered the circuitboard/noisemaker used to modify it, as well as the wrapper of a granola bar.

The tones in the circuit board's audio were decoded to be "56001," an agent code that appears to serve as an "activation status" update. 83970, a part of the stuffed animal's barcode, gave us an ABISM message that decoded to "I LOVE YOU. WE LOVE YOU. FOREVER BEAUTIFUL." The full barcode gave us another ABISM message that provided us with a password, but we are still unsure what the password is meant to be used for.

Blue Hill, ME #2: This drop was placed for Ai to provide her with critical mission documents. After a lengthy delay, we discovered the location was at the Blue Hill Public Library, the same place we called for assistance with the Blue Hill phone booth drop in 2012. We contacted a librarian, who after some convincing recovered the book for us. It has just arrived in our possession, and it consists of a book titled "Where the Black Fern Grows". The majority of the book is a long block of hex digits.

THE BOOKS

Molds and Lichens of Nova Scotia, published by the Atlantic Mycological Union: The first "book" we received, which isn't technically a book. Only the cover of the book was found, with some codes written on the back. This was found at the Knights of Pythias Cemetery drop.

Global Response Codes, by Dr. J. Marvin Blackweather (Pink Book): The second book we received, and the first to actually be a book! One of our members received this book in the mail after leaving his information with the Message Desk for a copy of the "pink book". The book consists of three sections: A list of special inquiry codes to be used with the Message Desk, a list of codes labeled "Group", "MLPL", and "C", and an appendix listing location codes for a huge amount of cities around the world. The barcode of the book is the ISBN for the First Ladies book again. We have used the location codes to contact specific "stations" through the message desk, and have used some of the special inquiry codes in specific situations.
[transcript] (missing location codes) [images]

Designing Compelling Worm Sanctuaries, published by the North American Helminthological Society (Green Book): We have received three copies of this book. The first was recovered from Secret Beach on Kauai, placed there on J's orders for it to be out of reach of the counter-operation. The second, found from an agent code in the first copy, was picked up under a bridge in Idaho. The third we found much later on a bookshelf in Sofia, Bulgaria. All copies are identical save for the handwritten field notes in each. This book contains a ton of new codes, phone numbers, and mysteries. Unlike the previous book, this one has quite a bit of content beyond just the numbers. Much of it remains unsolved to this day, but here is a short list of important information from the green book:

Publishing Info/Dedication:
- The phone numbers listed under "PTO Publishing" are all Agent System mirrors.
- The dedication to "SF" is likely a reference to the woman who crashed into the Blue Hill phone booth shortly after the drop was retrieved, as those are her initials.
- The ISBN is, again, for the First Ladies book.

Reviews:
- The code on the left page, when entered into the Agent System, gives a "friendly code".
- One of the reviews is written by J (Marvin Blackweather). Another is by a man named Nibelung, likely a reference to the mythological family that settled Worms, Germany. The reviews also make little sense considering the text of the actual book, but that goes without saying.

Prelude [1, 2]:
- This history of worms is entirely made up even when it isn't concealing a secret code. It implies that St. John's University is in St. Johns, Newfoundland, even though this is false. Who knows?
- The numbers referring to worm species on the first page form the (709) phone number.
- The numbers referencing the growth of wormeries on the second page, when combined and entered into the agent system, give a message with coordinates for additional green book drops.
- The last two paragraphs where the text devolves spell out a message in the capital letters: AI BOUERGES BE CAREFUL.

Chapter 1:
- This list of "worm ordering codes" was referenced later in the game in both of the calling card drops. The worm colors may have something to do with other books, as we've had references to "slate" and "clear" books before. We were instructed to use "chartreuse" at the message desk at one point, although it didn't seem to work with either the color or the number associated with it.

Chapter 2:
- The QR code decodes to a series of 5grams corresponding to particular letters or numbers.

Chapters 3 & 4: These chapters give a lot of technical information about the systems WORM is using, provide some new phone numbers, and explain the system status check on agent code 33330. ZEUS is also explained in a bit more detail here. At the end of the chapter, the text of Global Response Codes appears, without the location codes at the end. The second to last page of the book is a message about worms, solved for us in the third copy, followed by a page that has been "unintentionally left blank".

Field Notes (Kauai Book): These field notes appear to correspond to Message Desk inquiries. Giving the Message Desk any of those 3xx numbers will give us coordinates around the corresponding location in response. Some refer to drop locations (El Paso, Oswego), while others have yet to be used in the game. Handwritten on the very last page of the book is a series of letters that we have not yet found a purpose for.

Field Notes (Idaho Book) 1, 2, 3: The field notes from the second copy of the book are slightly more cryptic. They consist of what appears to be ABISM login information, an agent code that leads to a voicemail box prompting you to report temperature or rainfall anomalies, and some acronyms. Cochliobolus heterostrophus is a fungus that causes Southern Corn Leaf Blight. Paired with the mention of a disbursement vector, it seems likely that Project MLPL has plans to spread blight.

Field Notes and other Handwritten Notes (Sofia Book): These notes provide solutions to a lot of the puzzles that we never solved with the first two books. One page seems to spell out the solution to the message on the inside of the calling card, while the field notes explain the process of accessing maps and give us a few new agent codes.

1979 Tide Tables of Lake Superior (Blue Book): We found this book at the Well Springs Cemetery in Hermiston, OR after discovering its location from the ISBN of an ExcitingBooks cover. It consists of a long series of codes organized into "tide tables" containing tide information for many different locations.

Publishing Info: Geoebic Publishing is obviously not real, and Geoebic isn't a real word or location. There are a few hits referencing what appears to be Gogebic, MI (which would fit the Lake Superior theme), but they may just be typos. Annelida is not a real town - it refers to the phylum for segmented worms.

Dedication: The name "Maj. DS Wagner" was mentioned before in response to an unknown QX on (234) 222-0004, but we don't know anything more about it. The dedication underneath is from the Hávamál, an Old Norse poem, which translates to:
Quote:
Wise he is deemed who can question well,
and also answer back:
the sons of men can no secret make
of the tidings told in their midst.

Recommendations: Again, none of these recommendations really make sense, but unlike the green book none of them are written by a major character. Instead, the names of the publications responsible for the reviews spell out "WORM". The only publication that might actually make use of tide tables is "Regatta Daily", and coincidentally the oldest annual sporting event in North America is the Royal St. John's Regatta, which takes place in St. John's, Newfoundland (the "forefront of worm studies" according to the green book). Like many things, this may well be a coincidence.

The section that follows includes tide tables for multiple real locations around Lake Superior, providing tide information for every day of the year. The table labeled in the table of contents as "Outer Island", a real location, is actually titled Worm Island for some reason.

Measurements: The final page lists some of the agent system mirrors as "weather stations" for obtaining local tide tables.

Where the Black Fern Grows, by Dr. J. Marvin Blackweather (Old Black Book): This book provided instructions for Operation Strong Room. We retrieved this book at the Blue Hill library after w learned that Ai did not have a copy. We have only just recently received it in the mail, so this section will be updated once we know more. It is ~150 pages, most of it consisting of "encrypted mission data" in the form of blocks of hex in small font.

[pdf copy] [album]

Legacy of the Postal Reorganization Act (Red Book): We have tried and failed a few times to order this book.

Asparagus Fern Root Maintenance: Mentioned in an HF message, this book was apparently used to help TRANSP receive their new orders.

Slate Book: Mentioned multiple times. Possibly the same as the book titled "Slate Deposits in the Intermountain West".

Clear Book: A book used by agents in the field. Most messages mentioning this book require agents to provide responses to questions on certain pages to Collector 1.

Standard Black Book: We know nothing about this book. It was only mentioned in a message stating that instructions for Operation Strong Room were in the "old black book" and not the "standard black book".

Old Blue Book: Another unknown book, messages indicate that agents stationed in the North Atlantic use this book for some purpose.

Many other book titles have been discovered from the Message Desk. Check pages 17 and up on the index to see them all.

No, I wrote and compiled this myself to start the new thread. We have a previous thread here, but it's very old and we get a lot of people confused by the misleading title/lack of info in the OP. Our wiki is pretty outdated and I didn't think it was really the place to put this.

I have a link in the very first post to skip the wall of text and start from the first "update" post. If you'd prefer we move the information someplace else, that's fine! Sorry for any inconvenience, I know it's a crazy amount of information. It's just that all of this info was disorganized before, and it was very difficult to find any specific thing.

No no, it's fine. I wasn't posting as a mod I was posting as a user. However I shoudk probably lock the other thread then and post a link to this one on it.

Thank you. We can finally link potential players to this excellent summary instead of saying "go read 75 pages of UF forum posts". Thanks, Adah. Awesome.

We have looked into the new book, but haven't been able to figure out much about it. The hex is much, much too long to transcribe manually and doesn't seem to use any of our previous decoding methods. The pdf can be found here.

So here's a little update about the black book. In #ARG on Freenode, counterops agent Meki has been hammering away at training Tesseract OCR against the pictures of the black book. It was slow going at first, and personally I've had a lot of experience using OCR (or trying to) and had very little faith that it was going to work. It seems 10 years is an eternity in OCR software development. Meki has achieved OCR scans with about 0.5% error rate, and perhaps 90-95% of the errors in OCR are transcription errors with the letter "B" and the number "8". This is profoundly good in terms of OCR, and Meki deserves a lot of praise for his hard work and dedication. I had been shopping around for outsource transcription services (like India or the Philippines where this kind of labor is relatively cheap), but using this method, we could do this ourselves, since the task has now become proofreading instead of transcribing. I have no estimates for this workload, but I think the future of this encrypted text has just gotten a lot brighter. Thanks, Meki!
