Where did Birdie Go?

Been away from here for a few years.... this looks interesting. Almost reminds me of that SciFi show Eureka. I jumped into the blog and posted a couple of comments to try and interact with Kira, anyone else looking at this at all? There was a picture posted that I'm not sure what I'm looking at beyond some trees, but it's mentioned that it should be in color but is only in black and white.

My old student trial of photoshop ended, wonder if putting it in there and "colorizing" it with red would reveal something?

Anyone else having a look at this?

No videos so far, just a few posts about the town, about a person being missing, introducing the 2 writers, and the weird goings-ons.

I already have a theory that the main writer might actually be the missing girl and not know it, she's talked about how they've done a lot to change her appearance... I've been reading it, but no idea what other roads to go down.
