Hey, everyone. I haven't been keeping up too much with this, but Callum just messaged me on Facebook. Assuming this is a safe place for him because the PM's not allowed to view this forum, I will be posting the entire conversation eventually.

But for now, I read between the lines and got

Late to the party as usual but I've been in contact with Callum for a while now. I'm only just now getting to actually participate though since life has started to chill out. I'm gonna try catching up asap but was Callum's last message supposed to be Trail Track or Rail Rack.

I communicated the URL to Callum using the capitalization thing he's been doing. Someone, hopefully Callum, responded to our question on LittleDoveFelderi.

The URL there, and the clue on Callum's FB, indicate that this is a rail fence cipher. I have tried all sorts of online solvers, but I haven't been able to get anything that makes sense all the way through, so I'm either missing something, or way too hung up on spelling. Wink

If any of y'all have better luck, please post and let us know what you did.

With 8 rails, the cipher previously mentioned on LittleDoveCallum translates to

Maybe it's not meant to be perfect since his keyboard isn't working so well. From what you did above, I see

Over on LittleDoveFelderi there is what appears to be Callum going all Stephen King with his keyboard. The non-capital letters spell out:

Well, I don't know how the heck y'all got that message -- when I tried a railfence cipher, even with eight rails, I got pure gibberish. Clearly doing something wrong... But anyway, good on you!

Now, I don't think the typos have anything to do with Callum's supposedly bad keyboard. Notice that the misplaced letters seem to be exactly one off -- that is, each one should be replaced with the letter exactly eight further on in the message. If correct, this means

NOR RECORDS should actually be NOT RECORDED, and the signature should be something like SYOUKNOTS. (Which means absolutely nothing to me.) Also I guess that very first letter should be a W rather than an A.

So here's what I think is going on: Callum's mysterious Agency is monitoring even his private Facebook communications. They came straight to LittleDoveCallum and left that message for him as a warning. Lucy showed up, recognized that the message for Callum rather than from him, thought it might be from one of us, and asked "WHO ARE YOU? THIS MESSAGE WAS FOR CALLUM = ARE YOU ONE OF HIS CONFIDANTES?" The Agency promptly caught the message and recognized it as Lucy, whom they call LIMEVIRUS. Cute, eh?

Meanwhile, either someone tipped Callum off to LittleDoveFelderi or he figured it out on his own, and left us another something to puzzle over there.

In other news, I (and presumably some others) just received the following email from Lucy, with the subject line "Eclipsing the truth":

This is Lucy's second reference to Albion, by the way: she previously said something somewhere about nine Albion trees. (Albion is a poetic name for Great Britain.) Anyway, our instructions seem reasonably clear: Lucy still cares about Callum, and she's counting on us to free him from the Agency. Callum, meanwhile, thinks that ~lucylime is probably also monitored. Great.

Other stuff: Lucy mentioned paying attention to all the lyrics, not just the ones from Enigma. The other music is, of course, the famous "O Fortuna" used in gazillions of movies and whatnot. The first three lines: "O Fortuna / velut luna / statu variabilis"; roughly translated: "O Fortune, like the moon variable in state."

I'm thinking that the first stanza is what was in the Enigma song, but I need to listen again.
Edited to add: The 'O Fortuna' lyrics in the video are only the first three lines. Combining this with the constellation theme led me down the Geomancy rabbit hole. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geomancy, which might be worth exploring further.

As for Lucy's poem, and the Albion references, I'm thinking that the 9 trees of Albion are the first nine woods of the Celtic Tree Calendar, which are the 9 sacred woods of a traditional wiccan bonfire. I'm also wondering if the oldest rose line has to do with the Rosicrucians, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosicrucianism. Callum's agency sounds like some sort of Rosicrucian offshoot.

Asking Questions

So I'm sure not if the Lucy's home is meant to mean /~lucylime or her gmail account. I kind of want to say it's her gmail, since she had to use the spell to deal with "unwanted eyes." But since the agency was tipped through Callum's fb that the spell originated from her and they ran a "magical diagnostic," it might be freely monitored now...but it's unclear....

I've left some questions for Callum on /LittleDoveFelderi in the hope that he'll open up more (and that the page wasn't also compromised somehow). Although, he wasn't exactly forthcoming in answering about the agency before. And I'm not exactly sure what to make of "keystroke connts stuck in sight."

I've also tried to strike up a conversation with him on fb to get more info (indirectly by using the CAPS code talk), but that will be more tedious. I'll update if I get anything useful.

ETA:
I've also decided to asked Callum if he has any children in our fb conversation. Mainly due to his answer on /mother, which has remained a mystery. Lucy had said she only created the page for those with children and Callum's answer seems to imply that he does have a favorite child or that he prefers someone else over his own child. Yet both have neglected to mention any children. Not sure if it'll be helpful, but figured I'd ask since he went out of his way to answer her on /mother.

I emailed Lucy yesterday, as many of you had done earlier, and she really wants some of us to get going on the 'art' project noted on ~LucyLime.

I didn't miss the past tense there. In our second, indirect conversation using CAPS, I asked about what he needed to break the oath, to which he replied 'LUCY.' So Lucy has the knowledge to break the oath, but still isn't trusting enough to share (with Callum anyway)? Membership will probably help win her trust again, so I'm still working on my art project idea.
