Re: Need to organize
LittleDoveCallum vs. LittleDoveFelderi & communication coordination

Agreed. I'm assuming its the Agency, and I'm the one who just "confirmed" the meeting at MKC airport in Kansas City, Missouri. Mr. Green

I thought it was the train station, but I think they can coordinate wherever they like.

I'm also in PDT.

Agency not taking the bait
We weren't clever enough

The agency saw through our attempt to mislead them on LittleDoveCallum, so I've created a puzzle for Callum to solve on LittleDoveFelderi. Being a fan of Rachmaninoff, he should be able to figure it out, and communicate with us.

Edited to add:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
My puzzle is a variation of a German style musical cryptogram. Letters A-H are line #1; letters I-P are line #2; letters Q-X are line #3; letters Y-Z are line #4. This spells out:
GENOCLABKOAOMNWSTYBCWKU, which unscrambles to:
BLOWAGENCYKNOWSABOUTMKC

A bit clumsy, but I was working with the more famous melody of Rachmaninoff's "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini", and didn't want too many leftover letters.

I've just realised I'll have no way of recognising Callum. How will I know it's him and not an imposter?

I've just added a reference to the monty Python "how to recognise..." sketch, which he'll hopefully pick up on.

I still wonder if Callum is a person...

Another thing. MKC is not a small station. I'm not 100% sure where he'll be. There was a coded mention of RAILTRACK a while ago. I'll see if there's a RAILTRACK office in the station.

We really need to work together folks!
I think we're missing stuff here

There's a new message on ~LucyLime which, though there is some new information, mostly emphasizes what she's said before: We need to work together.

So far, only two people have let me know what timezone they're in, and I think we're really going to need that information before the 30th, if the meeting is even still on for the 30th.

Dagada, you're way more local than I (I'm on the West coast of the U. S.), so forgive me if this is a stupid question: are there physical maps of railway stations there? Perhaps there are online railway enthusiast sites that detail the stations. Given the whole dove motif here, maybe MKC has some kind of shop or restaurant with olives or olive branches in its name or logo. How busy would a station like that be at 4 p.m. on a Saturday?

I don't know, I think we need to share ideas, rather than just poke separately.

I found this, which may be useful although it isn't hugely detailed:

http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/SME/html/NRE_MKC/images/plans/2514-0000002.jpg

The actual concourse is much smaller than I expected, so I wonder if Callum is planning on recognising me rather than the other way around. The only problem with this is anyone could claim to be Callum. I guess he may make some real time posts you guys can verify.

Lucy's latest quote is a reference to Shakespeare's 'Romeo & Juliet', and we had three of his sonnets earlier. Also Shakespeare's works are brimming with astronomical allusions, which makes sense when one realizes that the geocentric theory of the universe was beginning its decline while the heliocentric theory was on the rise during his lifetime, though Shakespeare himself seemed to favor the geocentric view. Maybe Dagada should carry a brightly-colored volume of Shakespeare's plays to MKC. Smile

Illuminati in Milton Keynes
Possibly fruitful line of research

There's a whole lot of stuff on the web about Milton Keynes and the Illuminati. One less sensationalistic site is: http://sianandjackie.blogspot.co.uk/. Also, if you Google "Public Art in Milton Keynes", you'll find some pretty interesting things, particularly if you use the map view.

Has anyone heard anything else from Callum? I'd like to know if I'm going to meet him (it?) tomorrow.

The meeting is supposed to be on May 30th, a week from tomorrow. Smile Of course, if there aren't enough people actively playing, in order to figure out the other stuff we need to figure out before then, I don't think it can happen. Sad

Pure SPECulation, but: I think the silence from Callum and the comments from Lucy (and the Agency) are nudging us in the direction of working together to come up with some sort of plan for Dagada for the meeting. We've been given the link https://litemind.com/problem-definition to guide us in brainstorming. [META SPEC]There is no "correct" answer; we've got to come up with something, and the PM will determine whether it works.[/META SPEC]

It seems clear that the Agency is planning to be at the meeting. Lucy has made references to attempting to tell a dove from crows. So one possibility is that there will be multiple people there, and Callum will not be able to identify himself. I also keep coming back to the one clue we did get from Callum on how to help him break his oath: BLOOD TRNS POWER. "TRNS" could be TURNS or TRAINS or TRANS(FER/LATE/PLANT/PORT/etc.) or a variety of other possibilities.

Thoughts?

===============================================

By the way, there's been activity on LittleDoveCallum, for those who haven't seen it. Our anonymous Agency contact has posed a question, and off to the right we see some more of that computer code we saw earlier. And now they've added a tiny puzzle:

Code:
klyq uity alzh vqon qyjb bytx rjyf fluj t

re: next steps

I've been researching the town of Milton Keynes more than is good for me, and one of the many things I learned was that the bulk of the Enigma code breaking activity took place there. On a hunch, I plugged the little puzzle into an online Enigma machine, and got:

WEWI LLHE LPYO UINE XCHA NGEF ORAN SWER S, or WE WILL HELP YOU IN EXCHANGE FOR ANSWERS

I'm still wondering what Lucy wanted us to do with the squeamish ossifrage stuff. Edited to add: If we're supposed to create an RSA cipher using Scrabble letter values, someone with more math skills than I will need to do it.

Maybe just as well that the Agency is going to be there on the 30th. Weren't they looking for a research assistant? (that would be admitted if they passed some sort of test?) And we need some eyes and ears inside the Agency so we can figure out what exactly it is/what they are up to/how they are keeping Callum captive/how to free him (if indeed he needs to be freed.)

Unfortunately I am again with limited internet access but will be there on the 30th at the appointed time although I am terrible at solving puzzles.

(And perhaps maybe someone could ask Lucy if she has any information the Agency wants that Dagada could give them so that at the meeting on the 3oth they would start to regard him as someone useful and admit him into the Agency as a research assistant.)

Re: Callum Felderi
Brainstorming

Hey all! Had to take an impromptu hiatus (real life problems) but I'm playing catch up again. Looks like there's been some tension between us and the Agency (and Lucy, for that matter).

I haven't got a solution to our meet-up conundrum, but I'm up for brainstorming. Seems pretty clear that one of our problems is that we don't know what Callum looks like or even where in the station he wants to meet. So it looks like we need to come up with a way for Dagada to be clearly visible to Callum. Whether we allow Dagada to be visible to the Agency or not, I guess we need to decide. If we do want to try to get Dagada enlisted in the agency (and I think that's largely up to Dagada), then we'd probably have to leak some useful info to them. But if we do go that route, I'm not sure how we'd continue to get Callum talking to us, since he's already pretty tight-lipped.

The next problem is the disjunctive communication with Callum. Callum's fb has been commandeered, so he's on the run and scared. I had hoped that his WoT would actually allow him to talk freely, but he's still speaking in cryptic puzzle talk and CAPS lol. Idk if that's because the Agency is monitoring him or what BUT I have realized that we still have the Edward Nigma page, which the Agency has largely ignored. We may be able to reach him for clarification about the meet-up via Ed.

I am on the East Coast of the U.S. and I really don't think I'll be all that available during the meet-up, but I'll try my best.

As a side note, I have never fully trusted Callum and I certainly don't trust this Agency lol Out of curiosity, what do you guys think of Callum's motives?

I tried to drop Callum that hint in my dreadful poems on LittleDoveFelderi, but the only response was Lucy basically telling us that we should knock it off with the codes -- because the Agency could break them too -- and that Callum wasn't going to be responding to us in any way. (But that he was still reading, even if not responding, so we needed to figure out a way to get information to him without the Agency interfering. Back to Square One.)

Also, someone is being deliberately insulting to Lucy on ~lucylime.
