There's another riddle at http://www.yourworldoftext.com/i2i

Thanks for sharing that, I found that page and then had to run out the door before I could post it.

I believe Lucy is referring to "The Whole of the Sky," which is a sequence of 88 poems referring to the 88 constellations.

I can't find those poems, I get an F in googleFu today, what's the 16th one then? I'm guessing that's our next rabbit hole.

Lucy emailed me the earth today, as promised, using TinyPic:

The underlying image appears to be taken from William Blake's "Earth's Answer" as seen here. The three-quarter crossed circle has been added.

The name on that image is zochvp, is that something you added or is that the name of the image. Do we think it's significant.

Got the next image in my inbox:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
So the background image is from Shakespeare's Venus and Adonis but inverted on the black and white:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venus_and_Adonis_%28Shakespeare_poem%29

Overtop it is the symbol for male, with the bottom right of the corner missing

Actually, that's the symbol for

Venus - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astronomical_symbols

*smacks forehead* duh. Female/Venus. Not Male...Epic fail on my part. At the risk of looking more like an idiot....

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Literature is not really my thing, so maybe I'm *way* off base here. But in reading about the two poems, I think we have embodiments of our main 'characters'. Venus and Adonis is all about, Venus trying to woo Adonis and convince him to stay but he goes anyway. The fact that the picture is inverted says Callum is Venus, trying to woo his Adonis (Lucy). In Earth's answer, the earth (Lucy) is responding to the Bard's (Callum's) call to return, of which she does not come back. It's as if she's trapped and needs to free herself, or needs help freeing herself – depends on which interpretation you go with. It seems there are a lot.

…And clearly I need to go do something else now. Did I mention I might be *slightly* obsessive.

Shouldn't this be 1666?...http://romannumerals.babuo.com/MDCLXVI-roman-numerals

Are we stuck?

Here are things that are "out there" for us to consider:

- What is Lucy's "older" name? (http://www.yourworldoftext.com/martinblackwood)
*by the way, she has posted a new clue there.

- What kind of answer is Lucy looking for before she will share her secret? (http://www.yourworldoftext.com/glueboy)

- What is the significance of the two images that have been sent to players? or do we have to do anything with these yet -- maybe they are pieces we'll need to solve a later puzzle? I like a lot of Arbad's interpretation, although I'm not sure that Lucy is trapped in any way.

I think that's all we have to work on for now -- those of us who gave our mailing addresses to Callum need to keep our eyes peeled for unusual mail, but until we get those mailings I don't think there's anything else for us to do with Callum.

I'm very much stuck, this is where I'm at right now...

On her older name:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
In 1666, Molière used the name Lucinda following in Cerantix footsteps - http://www.behindthename.com/name/lucinda - from the previous name Lucia. Lucia is interestingly the patron saint of the blind and we are on Blind pages. That said, going to Lucia is full of garbage as far as I can tell. Her new clue stumps me except that the burnings will come later is clearly referring to 1666 Burnings of London. So maybe she's telling us 1666 is a dead end? I really have no idea

We have the glueboy page, I'll try and type my answer this afternoon, but so far only the first answer ~ dreamers ~ seems to have mattered, unless she is just slower to update that page.

One other place I keep circling too is polly's page. The logician in me says each page must go somewhere.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Klondike was for questions, Midnight has been the name stuff, glueboy has a secret, tullip went to i2i, jane points to polly but polly has a bunch of random stuff on it that i can't make sense of. Esp because it's REALLY hard to tell what's Lucy and what's someone else just typeing random stuff.

Also I'm not sure where else to go with those two pictures outside of what i've already said.

Even my answer doesn't seem to have mattered...all that text is just my rambling on Razz.

The response to stringstheory on /klondike seems to be made up entirely of quotes from Eclipse. Perhaps she's asking us to look for another, older work that takes place on a beach to find her older name?

The first thing that comes to mind is Lord of the Flies, but I don't think that's it. It has a beach, fire, a pair of twins, and a Simon. I'll look into Simon Armitage's older works, regardless.

EDIT: And then on /i2i, Lucy mentions a 'will' in response to Amber. This could very easily be talking about William Shakespeare, which would also make sense due to the poetic nature of this whole thing, but the author of Lord of the Flies is William Golding. or perhaps at this point i'm grasping at straws?

I think we need more people to share on glueboy.

Also regarding glueboy:

FOUND HER!...I think

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

The round about way I got there is not worth going into but Lucina is one who brings children to light and was in the Adonis mythos. At the very least it seems to be a game relevant page.

http://www.yourworldoftext.com/lucina

Also their is a message to everyone on the main Lucy page.

i was browsing through Callum's Facebook list of favourite books and noticed that most are written by English writers, and especially poetry from the Romantic era (1800-1850). i asked him for recommendations, if he enjoyed the works of Simon Armitage's and knew something similar. could be a long shot, but i'll report back after i get an answer.
